My body slithered further down into the lowest section of the cavern. The walls around me were completely covered in clusters of glowing mineral formations that pulsed with an intense heat.

I stopped right in the center of the largest mineral cluster, where the energy density was at its highest peak .I coiled my body tightly around the base of a glowing crystal pillar, letting my skin make direct contact with the warm surface.

A burning sensation instantly filled my veins, rushing from my tail straight up to my head. I glided over to the edge of the deep fissure where they had disappeared. I looked down into the hole, my eyes tracking the path as it went even further down into an ancient, untouched cavern line beneath the valley floor.

After ten minutes of movement tunnel opened up into a circular vault. The ceiling was supported by columns of dark wood that had rotted over decades, their structures cracked from top to bottom. I glided closer to the basalt steps, my eyes fixed on the that sword. But before i could even touch the base of the container, three large shadows stepped out from the spaces between the columns.

These were the automated defense guardians. their frames shaped like tall, faceless soldiers holding long spears. and their eyes flared with a deep red magic light as they detected my presence.

The firt guardian come forward without a word, its long spear thrusting straight down toward my body. The movement was incredibly fast.
