Prince Raymond staggered back, his boots crunching over the coins as he rubbed his bloodshot eyes. The wild, venom-induced confusion was slowly fading from his face, replaced by a terrifying rage that made his whole body tremble.

"You think you can play tricks on the royal family?!" the Prince shrieked, his voice fill with pure hatred. "I am the blood of this kingdom! Everything in this sector belongs to me!"

He didn’t lift his sword to strike this time. Instead, he forcefully drove the hilt of his weapon straight down into the ground. His Ascendant magic exploded outward, turning into red ripples that shot across the entire room.

The thousands of gold coins lying began to melt instantly under his power. But they didn’t stay liquid. The bubbling gold pools rose up into the air, hardening into a hundred glittering spears that floated in a massive circle around my position.

"Die, you arrogant freak!" Raymond roared, waving his arm.

The gold spears shot forward all at once, tearing through the air from every single direction. The attack was designed to pin me down completely, leaving zero room to dodge.

I didn’t back away. I activated my [Non-Compete Clause] passive skill, letting the energy rush from my core straight into my legs. My speed doubled instantly. Moving like a straight line of black light in my tailored suit, I lunged forward, weaving through the gaps of the incoming spears.

The spear that I couldn’t avoid struck against my wrist scales, sending sprays of sparks into the dark. I didn’t slow down. I covered the distance between us in the blink of an eye, appearing right in front of the Prince’s chest.

Before he could pull his sword back up to parry, a sudden flash cut through the dim light from behind me. Suzy had leaped forward, ignoring the pain in her injured arm. She grabbed her fallen sword from the ground and delivered a two-handed downward strike straight across the Prince’s shoulder blades. The blow shattered his defensive aura completely with a tearing rip.

"Now, Barry!" she screamed, her hair flying wildly from the force of her swing.

I didn’t waste her setup. I balled up my fist, focused the absolute maximum capacity of my mid-stage Ascendant strength, and drove a brutal punch straight into the center of the Prince’s chest plate.

’Crack ’

The armor split completely down the middle line. The big impact sent him flying, his sword spinning out of his grip as his body collide into the wall before sliding flat onto his back . The powerful aura around him completely vanished. He lay there completely destroy, coughing up blood, his knees shaking violently as all his strength left his muscles.

The great royal expert was completely broken.

I walked over slowly, as I looked down at his pale face.

"Please... wait!" the Prince began to beg, his voice turning into a high pure fear. He scrambled backward on his elbows, tears of panic mixing with the blood on his cheeks.

"Don’t kill me! I will give you everything! The gold, the secret vaults, the entire merchant guild charter! I will sign a decree right now! Just spare my life! Lock me in the deepest prison cell, but please don’t kill me!"

I looked down at his trembling form. From a business perspective, keeping a royal hostage alive in a dark prison was a valuable asset for future negotiations. "Fine, but you have to tell me everything i asked and" I muttered, turning my head back toward the center of the room. "We will put you behind bars for—" i turned back around Suzy to discuss but...

Suzy wasn’t standing there anymore .The room had gone entirely quiet, but silence didn’t feel safe.

"Suzy?"

I turned my body around and looked back toward the Prince again. Suzy was already standing right over the weeping Prince. Her head was down, her long hair completely covering her face in a dark atmosphere, but her hands were gripping her sword so tightly. The expression from before was totally gone. Her eyes were staring down at the royal family member with an absolute, terrifying look of pure murder intent and raw rage.

"Suzy?" I called out, taking a step forward. "Wait, let’s keep him for more information i still have many questions to ask him—"

"You don’t deserve life," Suzy said, her voice completly looks different.

Before I could even reach out my hand to stop her , she lifted the sword high above her shoulder and drove it straight down into his body with brutal, ruthless force.

"AGHHH!" Prince Raymond let out a blood-curdling scream of agony as the she ripped right through his left thigh. But she didn’t stop. Suzy had completely lost control, her inner trauma from the past year exploding into pure, unbridled fury. She began striking him again and again in every single possible way, her movements fast, ragged, and completely merciless. She hacked the sword downward into his right hand, then into his legs, then drove the point straight into his chest armor over and over, the metal tearing apart under her raw strength.

"Ughhhh ,ahhhh, noooooo, waitttt, please, ughhhhhh, ahhhhh, noooooo, ackkkk, ahhhhhhhhhhh"

"Die! Die, you bastard!" Suzy yelled, her voice breaking into a frantic, emotional scream as she kept swinging. "Die for what you did to my family! Die for leaving everyone to rot!"

Shuck! Splat! Shuck!

The Prince’s pathetic screams quickly turned into weak choking noises before stopping completely. He was already dead after the few strikes, his body lying totally still there, but Suzy wouldn’t stop. She was completely blind with rage, hacking the sword into his shoulders and head, blood splashing wildly across all over the place, her own shirt, and her pale face also covered in his blood.

I stood there, completely shocked to see Suzy like this for the first time. The business director who was always calm and happy had vanished, leaving behind a broken girl drowning in pure, unfiltered grief and pain.

"Die! Just die!" she sobbed, her furious screams finally turning into a shaky cry. Her strength was leaving her arms, the swings becoming slow as tears began to mix with the red stains on her face.

I stepped in quickly from behind, wrapping my arms tightly around her waist, pinning her arms down to her sides to force her to stop.

"Suzy, stop," I said as I held her tight against my chest. "Stop. It’s over. He’s dead. He can’t hurt anyone else now."

The sword slipped from her shaking fingers, dropping on ground there.

The moment the weapon hit the floor, all the rage left her body. She let out a sob, turning around inside my grip and burying her face directly into the jacket. She hugged me back with absolute, desperate force, her fingers digging into my shoulders as her whole body shook from her crying.

The dark vault went quiet except for the sound of her ragged sobbing against my chest.

’Father... Mother...’ Suzy thought to herself inside her crying mind, her heart thumping frantically against my ribs as she held onto the only person she had left in the world. ’ I finally did it. I finally avenged our family ’

I kept my arms wrapped tightly around her, letting her cry while the dead Prince lay behind us.
