Chapter 35: Prince Raymond entry

I walked over to the wall and picked up the red jar. The liquid inside was warm against my hands.

[system: drink this to finish your human body. Warning: You cannot move for three minutes while it updates.]

"Three minutes is a long time," I said to Suzy. "If anyone comes down here, I’m a sitting duck."

Right then, a noise came from the ceiling. The top hatch broke open, and pieces of stone fell down. Six guards and two more green beasts cats dropped right into the room with their weapons ready.

"Catch them!" the main guard shouted.

I tried to move my legs, but Suzy stepped right in front of me. She ignored the cash and walked over to a old weapons in the corner. She picked up a long sword with a moon shape on the handle. She looked at the sword for a few seconds, touching it like she knew exactly who it belonged to.

"My fa—," she stopped mid words. She turned around to look at me, and a huge wave of dark energy came off her body. "Don’t worry about them, Barry. Drink the red liquid and focus on your change. I can handle these guys."

"Are you sure?"

"Just drink it!"

I opened my mouth and swallowed the red liquid in one big gulp. Right away, my whole body went totally stiff. I couldn’t move my arms or my legs. My eyes saw a bunch of numbers rolling by as the system changed my body.

[system: changing now. 95%... 100%. Human body complete.]

While I was absorbing, the room went completely chaotic.The two cats jumped at Suzy at the same time. She was incredibly fast. She swung her sword in a wide circle, and a big wave of dark magic cut right through the first animal, turning it into tiny green pieces that hit the floor.

"Get her!" the guards yelled, rushing forward with their spears.

Suzy hit the first spear away, stepped inside their line, and pushed her sword right through the guard’s tunic. She spun around smoothly, cutting down the other three guards one by one. She was an amazing fighter, using her real power to keep me safe.

The last guard tried to hit her from behind, but right then, my three minutes ended. A big wave of black and white light came out of my chest, pushing the last guard back until he hit the wall and went unconscious. All the stiffness in my stomach disappeared, and my new body felt totally light and strong.

The room went completely quiet. The six guards and the two cats were all lying on the floor, totally defeated. I stepped down from the platform, my black suit looking completely clean. I walked over to Suzy’s side. She was leaning against a box, breathing hard and wiping her forehead with her arm.

"Thanks for the help, manager," I said, my new human voice sounding very deep and clear. "That sword looks good on you."

Suzy looked at my face, her eyes wide as she felt the huge new strength coming from my muscles. She gave me a small, shy smile. "You actually did it, Barry. You look completely different. You look like a real boss."

"We make a good team, Suzy," I smiled, fixing my sleeves. "Now let’s grab the cash and get out of here."

Before we could move, the room suddenly got cold. The ladder turned to white ice and broke apart. Walking down through the empty air from the ceiling hole came a young man wearing a red royal outfit and a dark crown. His eyes were pure crimson, and the pressure coming from his body made the stone walls crack. It was Prince Raymond, who was finally standing right in front of us.

"Oho so we have guest huh?!" the Prince said , walking slowly forward. "So you must be the one from Silver Crest Guild that useless Inspector told me about. "

"So, he told you everything, huh?" Barry said with a small laugh. "Then he must have also told you how badly all of them were beaten and how they ran away from there like cowards."

Hearing this, the Prince’s face turned red with anger. "Is that so? Very good, very good," the Prince said, his voice cold and furious. "It’s good you came here to die. Now I don’t have to go looking for you to kill you."

Then the Prince looked at the girl standing next to me - Suzy. He stared at her for a moment.

"Hmmm, Looking at you... I feel like I’ve seen you somewhere before," he said slowly. His eyes then moved down to the sword in Suzy’s hand. His expression changed.

"Ahh... so you are his daughter—"Before he could finish his sentence, Suzy attacked him.

Barry was shocked to see her do that. He tried to stop her, "Suzy, wait!" but she didn’t listen.

Prince Raymond easily dodged her attack. In one smooth motion, he drew his own sword and counter-attacked.

Suzy tried to block his strike with her sword, but his power was too much. She was thrown back and fell on the ground. Her sword slipped from her hands and fall on floor.

The Prince walked forward to finish her off. But just in time, Barry jumped in front of her and blocked the Prince’s attack. Barry immediately tried to counter-attack the Prince, but the Prince had already jumped back, keeping his distance. Barry quickly turned to look at Suzy. She was slightly injured.

"Don’t worry about me, Barry! Focus on the fight with the Prince! I’m completely fine," Suzy said as she slowly stood up, holding her arm in pain.

Barry looked at her with concern. "Stay right there! I will defeat him quickly and come back to you," he said to her.

Then, Barry finally turned to face the Prince. He took a deep breath and released his full power. A strong wind swirled around him.

Seeing this, Prince Raymond smile and also gripped his sword tightly. A powerful aura began to rise from his body as he prepared for the real battle to begin .
