SUMMARY
Dying is mostly just embarrassing. Barry didn’t go down in a blaze of glory; he tripped over a stray cat, smacked his chin on a fire hydrant, and bit his own tongue off in front of a crowd of teenagers.
When he wakes up in a fantasy world, he isn’t a legendary hero or a powerful mage. He’s a bright blue, six-inch “Azure Runt”—a pathetic garden snake at the very bottom of the local food chain. To make matters worse, his own siblings want to turn him into a afternoon snack, and his “System” is a Total menace. But Barry was a grocery store assistant manager for five years. He has dealt with angry customers, crazy corporate bosses, and coupon Karens. A few cannibal reptiles aren't going to break him.
Equipped with a completely broken ability to steal the biological codes of anything he bites, Barry decides to reject the epic dragon paths and stick strictly to what he knows best: corporate theft, cutting corners, and scamming his way to the top of the monster ecosystem.Geniuses train for decades to reach the peak of cultivation? Cute. Barry just swallowed a magical mushroom, hawked concrete sludge at a Tier 2 Calamity beast, and stole the kill from the local mercenaries.
[Warning: Contains high amounts of revenge, snake logic, and a system that actively helps him.]
