Infinite Range: The Sniper Mage

Chapter 400 - 400: 400 – We Are of One Mind

“Still struggling? Crushing an ant like you is effortless.”

Velorith sneered from above. She morphed back into her massive dragon form and swiped a razor-sharp claw at Orson.

His expression turned grim. There was no doubt—if he got caught by those claws, even with a million HP, it would be instant death.

Orson swung his spellblade and shouted, “Explosive Fireball!”

Velorith blinked, a flicker of surprise in her eyes as the fireball detonated mid-air.

Such a low-tier fire spell was laughable in the eyes of the Lightning Dragon Queen—but in that split-second flash, Orson had shifted his position more than ten meters to the side, narrowly evading her claws.

“Impressive control,” Velorith admitted. Maybe Soros’s death wasn’t pure luck after all.

“Oh, you haven’t seen anything yet,” Orson replied coldly, his body plummeting downward, but it didn’t hinder his casting.

A Chaos Hexagram appeared beneath Velorith, sealing her in place.

“Awakened Skill – Grip of the Underworld!”

BOOM!

Velorith’s eyes widened in genuine shock as a colossal earthen hand slammed her massive body into the ground.

Slam – 500k!

Crit – 1.2 million!

Orson crashed toward the ground. Three layers of Sun Shields cushioned his descent, allowing him to land with relative ease.

And he wasn’t done yet.

He raised his hand—”Hurricane Spear!”

Just as Velorith got up, the spear slammed into her wing, ripping a gaping hole and applying Mana Cripple.

“You little rat! You dare injure me?!”

The enraged dragon queen let out a deafening roar.

The damage was minor—but the insult was monumental.

Orson smirked. “Injure you? No, I plan to slaughter you—and use your dragonhide to make my guild banner.”

Velorith exploded in fury. Lightning crackled across her body as she raised her head and unleashed a terrifying breath attack.

“You’re really casting dragonbreath without activating Body Domination? That’s a crime in my book.”

Orson’s expression didn’t change as icy blue mist enveloped him.

“Ice Prison Ring!”

Velorith’s eyes went wide. The next second, she was frozen into a gleaming sculpture of ice.

Mana Backlash – 6 million!

Mana Backlash – 6 million!

Shards of crystal exploded outward. She had been struck by her own magic. Her HP dropped by 18 million in seconds.

“Earthquake!”

Orson clapped his hands. Stone dragons burst from the earth, launching him toward Velorith at high speed.

Doomsday Blade!

His Primordial War Armor engulfed him once more. With seamless dual-class shifting, Orson was pulling out everything he had.

“Awakened Skill – Tidal Slash: Ninefold Barrage!”

Waves surged across the blade of his Supreme Arcane Sword, his crimson battle aura roaring skyward.

With one powerful upward slash—an unbelievable sight unfolded.

The human, a mere insect compared to Velorith’s massive size, actually sent the Lightning Dragon King flying.

The tsunami transformed into nine crushing waves, each blow laced with staggering knockback and knock-up force.

Even Vilitian-class bosses would be staggered!

-200 stamina!

Swoosh!

Swoosh!

Swoosh!

Each roaring slash pushed higher, cutting deep with every blow, aiming for vital points.

Combo x36!

Fatal Strike – 17 million!

An earth-shattering number popped up—but Orson didn’t feel the least bit happy.

Even after that extended clash with Veijander, Velorith still had over 700 million HP.

Without a battle plan or setup, trying to kill the most ferocious of the Dragon Kings head-on was like trying to tear down a mountain with a spoon.

“Is that your limit, human?”

Velorith’s mocking voice struck a nerve.

She loomed above like a cat toying with a mouse.

“Oh, f* off.”**

Orson’s calm shattered. This wasn’t just defeat—it was humiliation.

Even at full power, it felt like he was just tickling her.

But it wasn’t that he was weak.

It was that Velorith was just too strong.

Even in the Fusion World, only a handful of Heavenly-Tier players could compete with her.

These Dragon Kings weren’t just high-level mobs—they were divine constructs, embodiments of the gods’ will.

To challenge that with a mortal body…

It was madness.

“Awakened Skill – Infinite Tsunami!”

“Lightning Dragon Form!”

But Velorith reacted even faster. Her eyes flashed, and just before the wave could knock her back, she used Body Domination to purge the control effects.

Crit – 200k!

She reverted to human form. One slash from her lightning blade shattered all of Orson’s magic shields.

Another swing emptied his HP bar—he was left with less than 100,000 health.

“I’m dead.”

The realization hit him like a brick.

That helplessness he hadn’t felt in so long—flooded back in full force.

He triggered an emergency protocol—transferring all his Soul Seals into the guild vault.

Artifacts, relics… they didn’t matter.

As long as he still had the Super God-grade Soul Seal and the Divine Legion Soul Seal, he’d return.

One day, he’d kill them all.

Every last one of these arrogant Dragon Kings.

But… what about Number One?

That idiot who drank disinfectant and gnawed on brains…?

He couldn’t think about it. The pain was too much.

BOOM.

BOOM. BOOM.

Suddenly, deep heartbeats echoed.

Orson’s expression changed.

He turned toward the Crimson Lizard King—but realized the sound wasn’t coming from her.

It was coming from within him.

To be precise… there were two heartbeats resonating inside his chest.

Pale-faced, Orson muttered, stunned, “We…”

He paused.

The cocoon around the Crimson Lizard King cracked, as if answering the call from the depths of his soul.

“We are one in spirit,” a gentle female voice echoed in his mind.

Tears welled in Orson’s eyes. Joy and sorrow crashed together.

And then he shouted, in sync with that voice:

“We—are one in will!”

System Notification:

“Under the influence of Death God Dragon Clan [Draconis]’s soul, your beast has leveled up by 10!”

“Class has advanced from Domain Master to Saint Lord!”

“Under the influence of the Dragonheart of [Draconis], your beast has leveled up by another 10!”

“Class has advanced from Saint Lord to King!”

The notifications rang in his mind. Orson stood frozen—barely able to believe it.

Suddenly—

A streak of crimson-gold lightning burst out of the cocoon.

Space itself trembled. Dimensional rifts tore open like scars in the sky.

And the lightning—

Was just as fast as Velorith.

ROAR!!
