Chapter 5348: Genesis II
Chapter 5348: Genesis II
His First Infinite Scale held a great deal, and he had been careful not to squeeze in too much, careful to keep it coherent.
He still planned to refine it eventually into something usable for his people, because as it stood, the requirements for the Scale were things nobody else could actually attain. It was built around what he was, and what he was, was not yet a path others could walk.
THE First Infinite Scale of Existence — Completion confirmed.
INFINITAS CORPUS (The Infinite Body):
THE Hadean Lifeform foundation, elevated through THE Primus Apeiron form, now permanently expressed. THE Osmontian Infinite Physique: Osmontian Infinite Bones, Organs, Blood, and Meridians. THE Osmontian Organ of Existence, producing both THE Observable Force and THE Unobservable Force.
INFINITAS ARCHITECTURA (The Infinite Architecture):
Hundreds of Civilizations housed within THE Absolute Forge of Infinity. THE Hadean Pillar of Infinity, containing THE Infinite Tongue, THE Infinite Mandate, the three Source Demarcations (Seidr, Galdr, Einherjar), and THE Primordial Tongue with its Prime Letters.
INFINITAS CAUSA (The Infinite Cause):
THE Infinite Cause and its First Cause foundation from Observable Existences, expressing THE Bellum Cause and THE Cognitio Cause among others. Two Observable Existences backed by THE Infinite Cause: THE Infiniverse and Chernobyl. The nine Prime Causes of THE Infinite Cause: Existence, Paradox, Chaos, Mana, Quintessence, Adversity, Tyranny, Harvest, and Apocalypse. Osmontian Absolute Infinity. THE Infinite Anomalous Source Factor of THE Source Barbarian, with THE Aura of THE Source Barbarian. THE Pure Primordial Source, newly grasped and integrating.
Vakochev Scales equivalent: The cumulative power expressed by THE First Infinite Scale of Existence reaches the threshold equivalent of the early Triassic Scale, THE Fourth Scale of Existence, while structured entirely outside Vakochev’s framework.
Designation: The Scale has been completed and awaits its name.
Noah considered the completed Scale, the whole of what he had built laid out before him, and he gave it its name.
"THE Genesis Scale. Let THE First Infinite Scale be THE Genesis Scale."
BOOM!
THE First Infinite Scale of Existence!
THE Genesis Scale! Complete! His own framework, his own path, the first rung of a ladder no one else had ever climbed because no one else had ever built it.
"My Scales... will always be changeable," he said to THE Infiniverse. "That is the point of them being mine. I can go back and alter whatever I wish to alter whenever I wish to alter it. There is already a planned change, the inclusion of all the Prime Causes, including the nine common Prime Causes seen in most Observable Existences, not only my own nine. I will fold those in when I get to it." He flexed one obsidian-burning hand.
"And to advance past this First Scale, to begin on THE Second Infinite Scale of Existence, I will need... two things. Osmontian Transcendent Infinity, the ceiling I left open above the Causa. And a working framework for THE Primordial Source and its Primordial Tongue. I have grasped the Source. I do not yet truly understand it. Until I do, the Second Scale stays out of reach, and that is fine. It gives me something to climb toward."
HUUM!
He patted the hands of THE Infiniverse, and began to rise.
His eyes were vibrant and luminous, filled with multicolored light, and he was aware, with the clear-eyed honesty he applied to himself, that he had made so many advancements in so short a span that he could justify sitting still for a while. He could relax. He had earned a pause by any reasonable accounting.
He knew better.
Existence did not sit and relax, and a being like Dame Seraphine, a Fifth Scale existence handling the mere administration of Oaths as functionary work, had reminded him of exactly that.
Existence was vast and full of terrors.
It had been ongoing across countless ages and countless cycles, and an age was not a small thing. An age stretched across spans that made his entire lifetime, his entire dramatic climb from a dying apartment to two Observable Existences, look like a single afternoon.
Hundreds of millions of years to an Age, perhaps more, and he did not know how many ages had passed, because history did not begin with the Gilded Ones and the records he had access to covered only a sliver of what had actually occurred.
In all those ages, all those cycles, countless lifeforms far more powerful than him had been moving. They had not been sitting still while he climbed. They had been climbing too, for far longer, from far higher starting points. He progressed fast, faster than anything he knew of, and it still might not be fast enough, because the beings ahead of him had a head start measured in ages.
So he had to keep moving.
Without turning around, he smiled, and pushed aside the words of his father from the illusion, and spoke to THE Infiniverse.
"Adversity... is a strange thing," he said. "I already have it on multiple fronts, with multiple bodies, all of them pushing against something. Adversity is not so simple that I can just hand it to myself with my own hands and call it sufficient. Real adversity has to come at me. So I will keep designing adversity to come toward me, while also giving myself enough space not to be overwhelmed on every front at once." He flexed his hands again.
"But right now, I will remind myself of one specific adversity. The weight of the responsibility on my shoulders. This body...will pull the weight of THE Infiniverse and Chernobyl. Literally. On my shoulders."
BOOM!
He disappeared from the golden beach and appeared outside THE Infiniverse, in THE Undefined Gaps.
The boundless storms of the Gaps raged around him, the unstable rivers of undefined potential that could eradicate Second Scale entities through proximity alone, and they landed on his skin like drops of rain.
He did not flinch from them. He barely registered them. Behind him, THE Infiniverse stretched across his perception, something multicolored and circular and massive that extended for countless distances, so vast that gigaparsecs felt like an inadequate unit for describing it, an entire Observable Existence hanging in the Gaps behind him.
As he looked at it, multicolored chains erupted from THE Infiniverse and wrapped around his body, anchoring the domain to him.
He stretched.
His attire changed as he did, his chest becoming bare, his muscular figure exposed, garments of Infinity and THE Primordial Source covering his lower half.
Infinity and THE Primordial Source bounced over his skin in faint currents, and the combined light made him look like some ancient lifeform out of the deep past, his skin shining as though it were carved from crystalline jade.
Task: Bearing the weight of Observable Existences. The full weight, immensity, and Infinite Cause backing of both THE Infiniverse and Chernobyl are being imposed upon your existence, elevated by an exponent of three and a factor of ten. The resulting weight exceeds what your existence can bear. It is more than enough to crush you. To bear it, you must persevere.
BOOM!
His entire figure trembled.
His muscles roiled and pulsed beneath his jade-shining skin, his face vibrating with effort and defiance, and the weight bore down on him with the full immensity of two Observable Existences amplified past anything a single body should hold. It was too much!
His skin began to rip under it, crimson-gold blood gushing from the tears, and his bones trembled and developed minute fractures along their length. His organs compressed, squeezed toward bursting, and his Hadean Kidney and his right Lung actually burst under the pressure, the pain of it shooting through his entire frame as he stood beneath the weight of everything he had built.
"Persevere."
BOOM!
"Exelissomai."
BOOM!
Raging pillars of obsidian and multicolored flame rose from his very heart and spread out across his body, and every injury healed, his ripped skin knitting, his burst organs reforming, his fractured bones mending, and each component of his body was made grander than it had been the second before.
On his right foot, multicolored Osmontian Absolute Infinity burned wild. On his left foot, obsidian Primordial Source burned. He tried to take a step beneath the imposed weight of two Observable Existences!
HUUM!
He failed. His skin tore again, his bones broke again, the weight refusing the step.
But.
His eyes shone with tyranny and defiance, and he uttered it again.
"Persevere. Exelissomai."
HUUM!
And he tried again.
He tried, simply, to take a single step. He failed each time, his whole existence trembling under a weight that was designed to crush him, the blood gushing and the bones cracking and the organs bursting and healing in an endless cycle. But with every passing second, he was grander, more magisterial, more quintessential than he had been the second before, the failure itself forging him exactly as failure had always forged him.
The words of his father from the illusion rose again in his mind, again and again, and this time he did not push them away. This time he brought them forward deliberately, as a reminder, as fuel!
You will fail. You will die barren of accomplishments. Just like me. And every time the words rang out, he answered them the only way he had ever answered anything.
"Persevere."
HUUM!
"PERSEVERE!"
BOOM!

<Existence breathes, and epochs pass, leaving Civilizations that become monuments, then crumble to memory, and are long forgotten when that breath comes again. In all these epochs, Infinity reigns supreme.>
