Infinite Mana In The Apocalypse

Chapter 5232: Oblivion III

Chapter 5232: Oblivion III

The undefinition inside THE Sepulchre was not malicious.

It had no personality, no intent in the way that consciousness had intent. It was simply the absence of definition doing what absence did in the presence of something defined, pressing against the edges of the defined thing with the patient persistence of entropy, looking for the seams where the definition was weakest and working at those seams with the thoroughness of a process that had all the time its containment required.

Noah sat in the nothing and let it press.

He could not feel his scales. He could not feel his crown. He could not feel his tail or his horns or the Bellum rings or the Cognitio rings or the grimoire orbiting his Hadean Pillar in the invisible interior space of his perception. He could not feel the connection to his other bodies. He could not complete a thought.

But he could feel his Cause.

Not loudly. Not with the full blazing resonance it carried in open battle. As a thread, thin enough that the severing of everything else had reduced it to its most fundamental state, thin enough that the undefinition had apparently not identified it as a discrete entity worth addressing specifically because at its most fundamental state it was indistinguishable from the base substrate of what he was rather than from a capability he was deploying.

He focused on the thread.

He thought of his mother.

Concretely, specifically, the actual Amelia Osmont who had lived in an ending world and had produced something with her existence that the entirety of the Gilded civilization across seven ages and Prime Causes and THE Braneworld Observable Existence had never managed to produce despite their eons and their engineering.

Who had originated THE Infinite Cause through the specific accumulation of her specific experiences without anyone’s permission or administrative oversight. Who had given him something that Vaeltharion and his three integrated Prime Causes and his ancient eyes could not access regardless of their standing.

He thought of himself.

The man in the dirt who had forged his first fireball while the world was ending around him. Every tier of Vakochev’s framework he had pressed against and found yielding. Every moment where the calculation said the outcome was not survivable and he had survived it through the combination of capability and conviction and the specific stubbornness that had never negotiated with outcomes it found unacceptable.

His Cause was Infinite.

He turned this over in the severed quiet of the Sepulchre’s nothing with the patient attention of a being who had found the one structural argument that the containment could not address.

His Cause was Infinite.

THE Sepulchre had been built by three integrated Prime Causes at Silurian Paleozoic depth, backed by the collective authority of a dozen Sororis Primas and nine mass-produced Ragnar bodies, to isolate an existence from everything including its own cause.

But THE Infinite Cause did not draw its authority from THE Observable Existence or from Infinity as an external resource or from any substrate that a containment built within Observable Existence could sever access to.

THE Infinite Cause drew its authority from emergence itself. From the foundational truth that existence comes into being through pain and that the coming into being was the first and most irreducible fact of any existence that had ever been.

He could not be severed from emergence.

He had already emerged.

The fact of his emergence was prior to every other fact about his current situation, including the fact of the Sepulchre. Before THE Sepulchre, there was Noah Osmont having emerged, and no containment built within the arrangement that emergence had produced could reach backward through time to the moment before the emergence and prevent it.

THE Infinite Cause burned through the thin thread.

HUUM!

It burned with the complete conviction of a being who had just found the structural argument and was committing to it fully, the thread expanding outward from its reduced state toward the full expression of a Cause that had found the reason it could not be contained.

The multicolored Infinity his Existence held answered.

And through the communion of THE Infinite Tongue meeting THE Infinite Cause in the specific compressed crucible of THE Sepulchre’s isolation, where every other substrate had been removed and only the two remained pressed against each other at maximum contact, something developed between them.

Infinite QuintessentialEpiphany state registering.

THE Infinite Cause and THE Infinite Tongue have achieved their deepest resonance within this containment. The isolation that was intended to sever you from your foundations has instead produced the contact necessary for the two systems to recognize each other fully without the interference of external substrates.

New capability establishing: THE Infinite Mandates.

THE Infinite Mandates allow you to set standing Directives for the behavior of Infinity within any domain where THE Infinite Cause and THE Infinite Cause of THE Infiniverse maintain influence. A Directive is a permanent instruction spoken to Infinity in THE Infinite Tongue, backed by the authority of your Cause, that persists without requiring your active attention to maintain.

Directives established under THE Infinite Mandates carry the following enforcement properties:

Any existence currently drawing power from THE Bellum Cause or THE Cognitio Cause cannot deny or override a Directive, as your Cause has formed resonant links with these two Prime Causes through your integration. Any existence at Ordovician Paleozoic Scale or below cannot deny a Directive regardless of their Cause connections, as your Infinite Cause’s authority exceeds their standing within your Cause’s domain of influence.

Directives function as Infinity itself enforcing your stated intent rather than as your own cultivation being deployed against a target. This distinction matters: beings defending against your power will find that their defenses address a different category of threat than what the Directive delivers.

...!

BOOM!

THE Sepulchre shattered outward, from the center point where Noah stood at the convergence of THE Infinite Cause’s full expression and THE Infinite Tongue’s resonance with it, the obsidian-gold crystalline structure of the containment breaking apart in expanding rings the way glass broke when struck from inside by something that had decided the glass was a suggestion rather than a boundary!

The fragments caught the light of the surrounding fires as they expanded outward across the gigaparsec radius of the Sepulchre’s original extent, each fragment carrying the specific brilliance of a Cause-construct dissolving rather than being destroyed, the technique’s architecture coming undone cleanly and completely without any residual authority holding its components together after the interior force exceeded its design tolerance.

The sounds of THE Wandering Territories returned.

The visual field returned!

The connections to his other bodies returned with the specific rushing quality of circulation restoring to a limb that had been briefly compressed.

Noah stood at the center of where the Sepulchre had been, surrounded by the dissolving fragments of its breaking, and he remained still for a moment while the dissolution completed itself around him.

Multicolored Infinity surged toward him from every direction, pulled by his Cause’s resonance now operating at its post-Sepulchre intensity, the currents flowing toward his position with the eager responsiveness of a medium that had been waiting for the address to resume. His crown blazed above his head with renewed intensity, the flames carrying the compound authority of a being who had just communed with his Cause at its deepest available level and had emerged from the communion with something new.

His Bellum rings burned.

His Cognitio rings burned.

The grimoire rotated around his Hadean Pillar with pages that had added entries since his entry into the Sepulchre!

He stood with his eyes still closed, surrounded by the incandescent waves of multicolored Infinity!
