Chapter 5089: My Pulse! IV
Chapter 5089: My Pulse! IV
Ozymandias, still frozen in that instant of objective time outside this perception-space, was changing too.
Ozymandias: Enhanced Observable force transmission detected.
THE Hadean Desmoterion: Receiving increased input.
Civilizational Eons of Development within THE Hadean Desmoterion: Accelerating.
New capabilities detected at 5% Civilizational Access.
Category 1: Existential Anchoring.
You can now perceive how Civilizational Anchors interface with Observable and Unobservable forces at fundamental levels. This perception may allow for manipulation of anchoring processes in self and others. You can declare and establish your Civilizational Anchor at anytime. Your entry into the second scale officially, is whenever you feel like it.
Category 2: Causal Threading.
You can now perceive the threads connecting actions to consequences across time. This perception is prerequisite for Pulse utilization. Without it, THE Silurian Light and similar capabilities would remain invisible regardless of power level.
Category 3: Scale Interfacing.
You can now perceive how THE First Scale and THE Second Scale interact at boundary conditions. This perception may allow for capabilities that blur the distinction between Scales.
Category 4: Designation Boundaries.
You can now perceive a bit more of the engineering that distinguishes Bounded and Gilded classifications. The study into Eon will soon yield some results.
Category 5: Cause Recognition.
You can now perceive the Causes underlying the usage of power other existences, not merely your own. This perception may allow for Pulse derivation from external sources if sufficient resonance is established.
Noah absorbed each category with growing appreciation for what five percent access actually meant. These were fundamental shifts in what he could perceive and therefore what he could eventually do.
Cause Recognition was unique. If he could perceive the Causes underlying other existences, could he eventually derive Pulses from Causes that weren’t his own? Could he touch THE Silurian Cause itself and pull traditional Silurian Light alongside his own Infinite variant?
But speaking of his own Cause, he could feel something else happening. Something in those newly illuminated depths of his Civilization, something that had been waiting for him to achieve sufficient access to perceive it.
Pulse Formation: In Progress.
Your Cause has been acknowledged. Your fiery aspect has been identified. Your derivation is stabilizing.
Pulse Classification: THE Infinite Light.
Status: Nascent.
Detailed analysis cannot yet be given.
THE Infinite Light.
His Pulse had a name now!
It existed within his Civilization as something he could utilizs, a thread of fire connecting to THE Infinite Cause he’d acknowledged as his origin.
Final Status Update.
Civilizational Access: 5% (stable) / Existential Access: 5% (stable).
Connection to Gilded Lifeform: Enhanced (ongoing).
Hadean transformation: Accelerating.
Overall assessment: You have fundamentally altered your existence in ways that cannot be reversed. The path forward is unknown. The outcomes are unpredictable. You have deviated from every established methodology and created a trajectory that has no precedent. No abnormalities have been observed as a response from THE Vakochev Scales similar to when you first stepped into them.
Noah’s eyes fully opened back in that stretched out moment of infinity.
His gaze came to land on Naldine, and uniquely, he found this powerful being actually take a step back from his gaze alone. His power shouldn’t have changed drastically in this moment of stretched perception. These were only their perceptions here, after all. Nothing physical had transformed yet.
But he had changed in how he perceived himself.
Now he was a man who had a Cause. He’d always had this Cause, had carried it since the moment two cells sparked together in his mother’s womb, but he’d never affirmed it. Never known about it. Never possessed the unique knowledge required to truly apply the immensity of what his existence represented.
He couldn’t help but smile as he looked toward this Primordial Architect.
"Do I scare you now, Naldine Manthon?"
...!
At such words, Naldine’s eyes flashed sharply. Her singularity-dotted gaze held his without flinching despite the step she’d taken backward, and when she spoke, her voice emerged calm and gloriously measured.
"Fear is not something that will ever settle in my heart."
She paused, studying him with intensity that pressed against his awareness.
"But in your eyes... how could it possibly have such a light? A light of someone who has seen something unfathomably grand. A light that very few can ever express even within THE Wyld."
Her voice softened slightly.
"A light of those who have witnessed a grand Cause."
...!
Noah felt all the changes that would unfold as soon as he left this moment of stretched perception. The Observable force flooding in from Eon. The accelerating Hadean transformation. The nascent Pulse waiting to be channeled. All of it held in suspension, ready to crash into reality the instant he released this infinity.
He smiled and said, "I told you. My emergence is a Cause as grand as THE First Cause."
His golden eyes blazed brighter.
"You can consider this a claim that only I make. You can consider it mad. But I make such a claim boldly."
He looked toward the frozen landscape beyond their perception-space, toward Grimvault’s suspended smile and the motionless wings of swords and the serpentine coils held in stillness.
"And now, I’m ready to end this stretched moment of perception."
His gaze returned to her.
"Are you?"
...!
She looked at him for a few seconds, those pure white eyes with their floating blue singularities assessing him with judgment that spanned eons of accumulated wisdom. Whatever she saw in his expression, whatever she perceived in that light he now carried, it was enough!
Oh, it had to be enough!
She nodded.
Noah smiled as he clenched his hand into a fist.
BOOM!
The infinity around him began to shatter, that stretched moment cracking like glass as their perceptions were returned to normal time. He would effectively resume the battle against a terrifying Calymmian Proterozoic Scale entity, against Grimvault who possessed THE Silurian Light and capabilities that should have been impossible to counter.
But who he was a moment before and who he would be a moment later were quintessentially different.
Who he would be was so different!
