Chapter 5023: The Pluvial Epoch! II
Chapter 5023: The Pluvial Epoch! II
Noah looked at THE Creature before him as this being smiled lightly.
"I told you to truly live. I did not expect you to live so wildly."
...!
Noah’s eyes became unfathomably sharp at those words. This was THE Creature eons in the past, and yet he knew of the conversation they would share eons later in Alfheimr. The conversation where THE Creature had told him to live fully, to experience existence rather than merely surviving through it.
How could he know about something that had not yet occurred from his perspective?
THE Creature smiled as if reading the questions racing through Noah’s mind.
"Existence is unique as it is not always linear. Your weavings here can wake up weavings of my memories that we shared eons later in Alfheimr. But hey, then is then and now is now."
"We are in a space of the Emergence of a Miniature Cause. Do you wish to talk like we will eons from now, or do you wish to continue the spar?"
THE Creature asked such a question calmly, as if either option held equal appeal to him.
Noah sensed that endless generation of Quintessence Infiniforce stirring within him again. That euphoria which had been partially satisfied by their initial collision was rebuilding with intensity. His finite existence continued producing infinite force, and that force wanted release against the most worthy opponent he could find.
He rose up and stretched his neck, multicolored light wrapping around his disguised form as THE Tongue Whisperer.
"Enough talking. We can talk with our fists. This time, let us continue the spar."
BOOM!
His words caused THE Creature to smile with genuine delight.
Multicolored flames raged from that apex entity’s form as his figure flickered out of existence entirely. He appeared behind Noah in the same instant, massive palm already smashing forth with authority carrying the weight of all Existence compressed into a single strike.
Noah filled his existence with Quintessence Infiniforce until his foundations screamed with the density of it. He howled out like a beast and smashed his body backward, meeting that palm with everything he had generated since their last collision.
BOOM!
Another heavy impact bloomed in the white space as a glorious force of Infinity went against Existence itself. The two authorities crashed together with violence that would have unraveled anything less than a space carved out by Miniature Cause!
A battle bloomed in a place others could not perceive or see.
When beings looked across history in eons to come, they would wonder what the results of the battle between THE Tongue Whisperer and THE Creature had been. That mysterious entity who had challenged an apex of existence itself, who had thrown his fist toward something that should have been untouchable, who had vanished alongside his opponent in white light that seared itself into the memories of everyone present.
Nobody would ever know what occurred in this white space.
Nobody except the two combatants who now clashed again and again, euphoria meeting amusement, Infinity meeting Existence, a young existence testing himself against something ancient beyond comprehension.
---
In THE Interstices.
Naldine Manthon returned to the current era with cold expression settling across her features.
Miniature Causes.
She had witnessed several across her eons of existence, and she understood their nature better than most beings currently alive. They were not all equal in scope or impact.
Some Miniature Causes produced effects as minor as a single devastating attack, reality briefly mimicking THE First Cause before settling back into normal patterns. Others spread their influence across vast regions, reshaping everything they touched with authority that refused to fade.
The scale depended entirely on what triggered the Cause and who participated in its emergence. A Miniature Cause between two weak Second Scale beings might reshape a single Primordial Realm. A Miniature Cause between apex entities could alter Observable Existence itself.
And now, a Cause from an entity like Osmont paired with THE Creature?
This was a dreadful one.
But Naldine knew not to panic, and she did not chase them across time despite her instinct to intervene. She understood temporal mechanics well enough to recognize that Osmont would return to the present regardless of how long he spent in the past. Whether he battled THE Creature for one year or one million years in that bygone era, for Naldine having returned to the present, only a few seconds or nanoseconds would pass before his arrival.
So she waited with patience refined across eons of similar situations.
Seconds passed.
Then nanoseconds stretched into moments that felt longer than they should have.
HUUM!
THE Living Temporal emerged first, purple rivers of time blazing around his form as his past consciousness rejoined his present existence. Amser Modred looked exhausted.
And then Noah appeared.
Naldine looked toward him with sharp gaze, already preparing to demand explanation for his recklessness.
"What did your Cause do?"
...!
The question was a heavy one, but her voice faltered before she finished asking it.
Her eyes found themselves opening wider as she looked at Noah, truly looked at him for the first time since he returned.
His eyes burned with multicolored light that seemed extremely ancient and grand, depths within those orbs that had not existed when she last saw him moments ago from her perspective. His entire existence felt drastically different, as if he had undergone a baptism of blood across spans of time she could not calculate.
He was not the same being who had thrown that punch toward THE Creature.
He was something that had been forged through conflict with an apex entity, tempered across duration that his mortal form should not have been able to endure. His body emanated profound waves of Infinity that pressed against THE Interstices.
Whatever had occurred in that white space, whatever battle had unfolded between THE Tongue Whisperer and THE Creature across eons compressed into moments, it had transformed him fundamentally.
Noah looked out at THE Interstices with eyes that burned ancient and young simultaneously.
"The effects of the Cause, The Pluvial Epoch of Existential Infinity, will begin to occur now across Observable Existence. Let us see."
HUUM!
As soon as he finished speaking, THE Interstices began to shake.
Naldine felt it before she saw it, her Civilization of Limitless Existence resonating with something vast approaching from directions that should not have contained anything. The very fabric of this space between spaces trembled with anticipation of what was coming, reality itself bracing for impact.
And then it arrived.
BOOM!
Heavy, terrifying, endlessly flooding waves of multicolored water surged out from nowhere and everywhere simultaneously. The waters spilled across THE Interstices with force that exceeded anything Naldine had witnessed from rainfall in any form, liquid authority that carried the combined weight of Quintessence Infiniforce and THE Creature’s Existence merged into something unprecedented.
The Pluvial Epoch of Existential Infinity had begun!
The waters washed over Naldine with force that made her Second Scale foundations buzz despite her attempts to brace against them. She felt the rainfall pressing against her Civilization of Limitless Existence.
It burned.
Not with heat but with density, with authority, with the weight of a Miniature Cause expressing itself across everything it touched. She could feel the waters analyzing her existence down to its most fundamental components, searching for corruption or unity or anything that did not belong within individual consciousness.
Finding none, the burning sensation faded into something almost pleasant.
She was being saturated with Existential Infinity whether she wanted it or not!
But she knew that across Observable Existence, across all the regions where Osmont’s Infinity had spread, beings were experiencing this same rainfall without her Second Scale durability to protect them.
Civilizations would collapse. Existences would dissolve. An extinction event would unfold.
Beside her, Noah voiced out with tone carrying neither regret nor celebration, as if he knew that in all of Existence, his name...was about to be up there among those who collapsed Civilizational Lifeforms the most.
"This... I will witness. This, I will see."
BOOM!
His eyes burned with Quintessential weight.
With such words, he followed the endless waves of The Pluvial Epoch of Existential Infinity as they spread beyond THE Interstices into Observable Existence itself.
He moved with purpose that suggested he would not look away from whatever the Cause produced, good or bad, because he had to live with the results of his choices.
He had accidentally triggered an event that would reshape Observable Existence.
And rather than hiding from its consequences, he was going to witness every moment of what his Miniature Cause would do.
