Chapter 4856: A Scheme Across Time! II
Chapter 4856: A Scheme Across Time! II
Noah’s eyes flickered with recognition that he carefully concealed behind the mask of THE Tongue Whisperer.
The dryad stood before him, her form composed of living wood and linguistic energy intertwined in ways that spoke of deep connection to both nature and language. Leaves that whispered Phonemes adorned her head like hair. Her eyes held the depth of ancient forests given the capacity for speech.
Glossikos.
One of the four Absolutes in the future within THE Agora of Primordial Judgment.
And yet right now, she seemed to only be at Fundamental Depth.
She looked toward Noah and THE Primordial Paradox with awe and caution in equal measure, her wooden features shifting as she processed the presence of beings whose authority far exceeded what should have been possible for mere Polemarchs.
What a wonder existence was!
Noah was seeing someone who would become an Absolute much later on in the future. He was observing Glossikos at a stage of her journey that she herself had likely forgotten across the eons that separated this moment from when he had first met her.
The sheer fact that he had seen Glossikos in the past, but he had not known it until he actually lived the past, was unfathomably unique.
When he met her in the future as THE Genesis Monarch...
Had she known that the being standing before her had once visited this place wearing a different face?
Noah shook his head calmly, dismissing the thoughts of temporal paradox. He looked toward Glossikos with the bearing of someone who had business to conduct.
"We would like to pay a visit to THE Villa Dei Boscoreale for a quick bath, if that is acceptable."
His voice carried authority that transcended his apparent ranking.
Glossikos nodded in a dumbfounded manner.
She could sense their Immensity. She could feel the weight of their foundations pressing against her perception!
And she seemed to recognize THE Primordial Paradox as her eyes kept going back to him.
"Right this way."
She turned and began to lead them deeper into the temple and past it, past the three Lochagoi who watched with expressions of confusion and curiosity.
Noah followed Glossikos, his mind already turning toward the next phase of his purpose here. THE Primordial Paradox walked beside him in silence.
They were here to hide a piece of an Absolute as Noah had the perfect place for it!
A lot of paradoxes and contradictions seemed to be surrounding Noah right now.
But the perfect place that he had thought of when it came to hiding something that even THE Entity would not be able to get their hands on was inside THE Villa Dei Boscoreale.
He wasn’t going there for another bath.
He had already been in this villa before. His body in the future was also actually with Glossikos at this very moment, traversing deeper into its mysteries.
THE Mouseion of Fated Artifacts.
The Museum of Destiny.
This was a region that contained item-based treasures unlike anything else in Observable Existence. Unlike the first area of the Villa, the Thermae where consumption was guaranteed to provide benefits to anyone who entered, the Mouseion operated on principles of fate and worthiness.
If one was fated to receive a particular artifact, they would be drawn to it and the barriers would part. If one was not fated, the barriers remained impenetrable regardless of power level.
Even Absolutes could not force their way to artifacts not meant for them.
The rules of THE Agora applied to all, and in the Mouseion, those rules were absolute.
So what Noah had to do was actually simple.
He couldn’t help but smile devilishly when he thought about it all.
And as if THE Primordial Paradox had seen through his plan, he actually nodded at this time.
"I have considered this as one of the possibilities."
His voice carried that measured precision that made every word feel deliberate.
"But there were too many unknowns. Variables I could not account for regarding who would retrieve what I left behind, and whether they would be worthy or fated to receive it."
His obsidian eyes held approval.
"You seem to have covered these unknowns. So I shall trust you, Youngest."
...!
As he said these words, their party had finished crossing through the different regions of THE Agora.
They had passed through temples and forums, through training grounds and meditation chambers. Glossikos had led them with the cautious energy of someone escorting beings far beyond her current comprehension, her wooden form occasionally buzzing when she sensed the full weight of the Immensity walking behind her.
And now they arrived before the gateways of THE Villa Dei Boscoreale.
The entrance was even grander than Noah remembered from his future visit. The architecture seemed more vibrant here, more alive with possibility. The stones that formed the gateway pulsed with authority that had not yet been weathered by eons of use.
Glossikos turned back toward them with caution in her eyes.
"You simply wished to go through the cycles of refinement after arriving in THE Agora for the first time?"
She was looking at Noah as she said this, her tone carrying the careful diplomacy of someone who suspected there was more to this visit than had been stated but didn’t dare to press.
Noah smiled calmly.
He proceeded forward without answering, stepping past the gateway as existence shifted around them. The transition was familiar now, reality bending to accommodate passage from one space to another within the complex dimensional structure of THE Villa.
He arrived once more at The Thermae of Cyclic Refinement.
The radiant pools and mist of this area seemed even grander and more ancient than before. Steam rose from waters that held the weight of refinement accumulated across eons. The architecture was pristine, untouched by the wear that would eventually dull its edges in the future Noah knew.
The figure of THE Primordial Paradox and Glossikos appeared in the same space soon after, their forms materializing from the transition with grace.
Noah turned to face Glossikos fully.
"I came to take a bath."
His voice was casual, almost dismissive.
"And also to make another contribution."
He paused, letting the words settle.
"A contribution for THE Mouseion of Fated Artifacts."
