Chapter 4522: History is Written IV
His eyes gleamed.
"Are you ready?"
The words of Tor echoed out across the snowy domain, and before Noah could even formulate an answer, another voice cut through the atmosphere.
"My oh my, what is this?"
Noah’s gaze became solemn as he heard a voice emerge from one corner of this snowy domain, and if that voice had not echoed out deliberately, he would not have even known that the entity was there at all.
Space peeled back like layers of an onion, and an entity burning with THE Civilizational Authority emerged in all her terrifying glory.
She appeared with a glorious confidence, her rabbit ears twitching as she analyzed the scene before her. Her eyes pulsed with purple brilliance as her gaze locked onto Noah with laser focus, actually ignoring Tor entirely in her initial assessment.
Noah felt her piercing gaze as if she was trying to see right through him, to unravel every secret and mystery his existence contained. He could sense that she wanted to do much more than simply observe, and the only reason this entity was unable to act on those impulses was because of Tor’s presence.
His eyes focused immensely on this situation as he cataloged details. Behind this being, there were actually a dozen other terrifying signatures emanating authority, but all of them seemed much less powerful than her.
They appeared to be at the Pre-THE stage of power.
Noah’s gaze passed through them analytically as his attention was suddenly drawn toward the back of the group where he sensed something utterly unexpected.
Something familiar.
Familiar? What could possibly be familiar to him here?
His eyes turned heavier as his gaze actually left THE entity who was still analyzing him, and he focused far behind her where he saw a woman in a white-gold dress.
His eyes buzzed with recognition when he saw her, because the familiarity he sensed was his own Living Existential Authority of Origin flowing within his existence and resonating with her presence!
Noah’s eyes flashed with immensity as he looked at her with newfound understanding.
The woman was otherworldly in her appearance, her features so perfect they seemed almost unreal. Her hair flowed like liquid starlight, shining with white-gold brilliance that illuminated the space around her. Her eyes held an unfathomable depth, as if they contained the origin points of countless realities.
A prompt bloomed before Noah’s eyes unbidden.
Name: ???????????? [The Living Origin...THE Living Origin?]
Classification: ????????????
Complexity: ???????????? [Displayed as Pre-THE ]
Purity: ???????????? [Displayed as Pre-THE]
Grand Principles: ????????????
Singularity Principles: ????????????
Current Sovereignty Status: Extremely advanced in Way of Origin
Warning: This being’s current existence exhibits power of Pre-THE designation.
Analysis suggests this is likely a significant deception- a fucking lie.
Note: Entity is far more developed than surface observation indicates.
Threat Assessment: EXTREME
Noah looked at all of this information with analytical marvel, his mind racing through implications.
Opposite him, his intense gaze made the eyes of The Living Origin also lock onto him calmly. She looked him over with the same analytical precision he was using on her, and recognition seemed to spark in her gaze as well no matter how much it was hidden!
He had actually met one of THE Living Existences in the Infinite Unfurling, encountering them before they were known as the esteemed beings they would become in his era!
Seeing The Living Origin also got him questioning the nature of what truly happened in this past.
There were obviously multiple THE entities present in this era. THE Creature was feared, as was THE Living Paradox. How was it that in The Earliest Folds of his time, only THE Creature was prevalent alongside THE Living Existences as a collective? What had happened to the countless other monsters and powers that roamed across the Infinite Unfurling?
His mind buzzed with many questions that had no immediate answers!
But at this moment, the calm words of Tor cut through his contemplation.
"Have you looked enough?" Tor asked with dangerous politeness.
THE Time Surfer laughed with genuine amusement at the question.
"No, not nearly enough," she said with brutal honesty. "I might need a much closer look to properly understand what I am sensing."
Her eyes remained fixed on Noah.
"That thing you have beside you there does not belong in The Infinite Unfurling. Never has, never will. I can consider myself somewhat of an expert on time mechanics, and if there was someone fucking with time itself, I can usually manage to understand how and why."
Her smile widened with predatory interest.
"But that thing beside you should not be able to even exist here at this point in time. The temporal displacement is impossible by every metric I understand. I need to see how he can do such a thing when it seems he has not even reached THE Surface Depth of Absolute Sovereignty, so yes, I will need a much closer look."
She tilted her head with challenge in her gaze.
"The only question will be whether you will take some of my time before I am able to examine him properly."
At such pointed words, Tor smiled with a sense of profound brutality as he looked at THE Time Surfer up and down with his own analytical assessment.
"Hunger and Time," he said with philosophical weight. "Two concepts that many believe to be fundamentally different, operating on separate principles of existence."
His eyes began to spin like black holes.
"But they are not so different, O Time Surfer, right? You are the weaker practitioner of time compared to that...Living Temporal, is it? Let me educate you slightly. Everything is prey to Hunger eventually. Even time itself can be consumed, devoured, made part of something greater."
His smile became predatory.
"At this moment, I can already taste time on my tongue as I look at you. It is a little salty, with undertones of inevitability and decay. The flavor of something that believes itself untouchable but will ultimately be consumed like everything else."
He paused for emphasis.
"Your time authority is impressive, certainly. But authority over when things happen means nothing if those things are devoured before they can occur. Hunger exists outside of temporal flow because it is a constant, an inevitability that transcends your manipulations."
His voice dropped to something profound.
"So before you take a closer look at my junior here, ask yourself this question: Are you prepared to be tasted in return?"
With such words, existence itself began to tremble with the weight of conflicting Sovereignties preparing to clash!
The storm of snow in the surroundings intensified dramatically, becoming even heavier as the atmosphere charged with tension. The temperature dropped further despite already being at levels that would collapse weaker beings.
And in the space between THE First Hunger and THE Time Surfer, reality itself began to fracture under the pressure of their combined presence.
Noah stood amidst it all, about to witness a clash between genuine THE Sovereignties for the first time!
