Infinite Mana In The Apocalypse

Chapter 3993: Deterioration! II

Chapter 3993: Deterioration! II

It seemed as though immense calamity would descend upon the forces that had gathered around the source of their enhancement, that the being responsible for their empowerment would be eliminated before their eyes through methods they possessed no capability to prevent or counter!

But in the next moment, two figures moved with synchronized precision.

The veiled Paradoxical body of Duke Gwendolyn materialized beside the Primordial Death with movements that challenged causality itself, her obsidian armor blazing with authority that made space-time bend around her presence.

Simultaneously, her Living Origin body appeared on the opposite side of the massive creature, brilliant radiance erupting from her form in waves that should have been sufficient to illuminate entire Folds!

Duke Gwendolyn’s philosophical approach to this crisis demonstrated mastery of how opposing forces could be reconciled through will and wisdom.

Her Paradoxical aspect reached out to rewind an inevitable ending...not preventing the Primordial Death’s arrival, but creating a state where its presence existed in quantum superposition between having occurred and remaining theoretical possibility.

At the same moment, her Origin body worked to establish the previous state of existence that had existed before the creature’s arrival, imposing the concept of restoration!

The collision between these opposing interpretations of what should be considered real created a zone of fundamental uncertainty that even the Primordial Death found difficult to navigate.

Its cursed authority, designed to operate within weavings where ending was the only constant, struggled to function effectively in space where beginning and conclusion existed simultaneously.

Under the enhanced capabilities granted by Noah’s Festival of War, Duke Gwendolyn’s combined efforts proved sufficient to push back the Primordial Death, forcing the creature to retreat from its advantageous position through application of force that should have been impossible for just two Dukes to achieve!

The sight of 2 entities...even one as formidable as a Duke, successfully repelling the massive skeletal horror sent shockwaves through every consciousness present.

Other Dukes rushed toward this position with movements that left brief tears in reality.

Their sharp gazes moved between Duke Gwendolyn and the veiled Paradoxical figure that seemed to move under her direct command, questions forming in their ancient minds.

Yet none of them voiced these concerns immediately. The current crisis demanded coordination rather than interrogation, and with the Symphony empowering all of them, they possessed a genuine opportunity to eliminate the Dead Existences entirely and seal the tear in space before additional reinforcements could arrive from realms of ending!

Information could wait until victory had been secured and the immediate threat neutralized.

Noah observed all of these developments with cool analytical detachment.

His gaze locked upon the massive distant figure of the Primordial Death as it repositioned itself following Duke Gwendolyn’s successful repulsion.

If that being attempted to eliminate him specifically and not Moiraine, Yoshinami’s Crown of Inevitable Retribution would activate with devastating precision, delivering True Death to an enemy whose power operated at the level of Dukes.

But it did not target him.

And this possibility represented one of his primary strategic objectives for participating in this conflict...the opportunity to eliminate threats that normally existed beyond his capability.

As he tracked the creature’s movements with predatory interest, his attention was simultaneously drawn to another Duke who had positioned himself near the tear in space-time.

This entity appeared as a figure wreathed in pure white radiance, his form carrying two magnificent swords that blazed with crystalline authority.

Yet another swordsman in these grand weavings of existence!

The Duke representing Living Laws raised his weapons toward the massive wound in reality, brilliant illumination gathering around his blades as he prepared to deliver a weaving that would seal the breach through application of undeniable juridical force!

His voice echoed out as seas of Living Law gushed out from his swords!

"Immutable foundation of existential order. Unwavering pillar of absolute truth. Bind that which seeks to break. Seal that which refuses structure. Command the chaos to kneel. Iron chains of inevitability. Converge. Restrict. Embrace the weight of existential law and submit to its glorious dominion!

HUUM!

He intoned with voice that carried the weight of law being established, white light beginning to weave itself around the edges of the tear.

The incantation built toward crescendos that made reality itself respond, white light beginning to stitch the edges of the wound in space-time as undeniable law imposed itself.

The tear was about to close!

Yet just as this elaborate binding reached near completion, just as success seemed within reach through application of ultimate juridical authority...

BOOM!

Noah’s eyes pulsed with alarm as he witnessed a massive obsidian chain shoot out of the tear with speed...speed that was utterly terrifying!

The horrific chain was meant to collapse the Living Law Duke before his sealing could be completed, its surface wreathed in deathly authority that promised systematic unmaking of everything it touched. The terrifying Law barely managed to evade complete annihilation, yet even his partially successful evasion came at tremendous cost...half of his body shattered into obsidian dust upon contact with the cursed weapon, his form becoming translucent as he paled and retreated from his position near the tear.

From the breach in reality, eight more massive chains emerged with the sound of entropy being given physical form.

Behind them, pushing through the expanding wound in space-time, came something that challenged every assumption about what horrors could emerge from realms of ending.

The massive head of an obsidian entity appeared....the manifestation of absolute conclusion given the appearance of twisted innocence. It resembled a baby’s head scaled to impossible proportions, its features carrying the kind of wrongness!

The torn rift expanded even further as this abomination forced its way through, reality stretching and warping around its passage until the breach became large enough to accommodate additional horrors.

Behind the first nightmare, two more figures of Primordial Deaths began to peek through the expanded opening...entities whose power rivaled or exceeded that of the skeletal entity that had already emerged, their presence promising escalation into a catastrophe!

All Dukes who observed these developments paled with grimness. If this situation continued to deteriorate according to current patterns, they would be forced to call upon additional collective forces.

The tear absolutely had to be closed before the situation became truly unmanageable, before the breach grew large enough to accommodate the invasion of forces that devoured everything!

Yet as the assembled Dukes turned grim with recognition of approaching calamity, Noah looked upon these developments with excitement that bordered on euphoria.

This was exactly the kind of opportunity he had been positioning himself to exploit...the emergence of enemies whose power operated at levels that would trigger Yoshinami’s ultimate protection while simultaneously providing him with resources that could elevate his capabilities tremendously!

He prepared to move forward, to position himself within the line of sight of these monstrous creatures whose authority operated at the level of Dukes.

Any one of them would do!

Any one!

If they attempted to eliminate him, their death would be guaranteed!

So he moved to ensure such confrontation at this most perilous moment, anticipation flooding through his consciousness.

And yet...

One could plan and prepare for every conceivable eventuality, could calculate variables and probabilities with the precision of destiny, could position resources and capabilities with strategic perfection that accounted for every foreseeable development.

But at the end of all such preparation, through means that no amount of foresight could control or predict, things possessed an inexorable tendency to deviate from expected patterns in ways that challenged even the most comprehensive planning!

Because right after Noah began his advance toward optimal positioning...

BOOM!

Shit hit the fan.
