Infinite Mana: I Am The Absolute Supreme
Chapter 135: Heavenly Demon race arrived
As Victor walked through the grand banquet hall alongside Sofia, the atmospheric pressure of cosmic powerhouses grew noticeably denser near the central pavilions. Representatives from top-tier star domains and supreme races thronged the polished aisles, their eyes gleaming with intense focus the moment Victor came into view. Sofia glided beside him with effortless grace, occasionally nodding to dark-armored demon officials who bowed deeply as she passed.
Within moments, diplomats and grand patriarchs from various star systems swarmed forward, their initial hesitation completely dissolving into eager attempts to secure a bond with the newest direct disciple of Lord Cristofer.
An elderly patriarch wearing silver robes adorned with burning star patterns stepped into Victor’s path, bowing with grand ceremony. "Greetings, Your Highness Victor. I am Patriarch Solon of the Astral Sun Clan. Our clan controls three primary star domains and seven pristine star veins. My youngest daughter, Elena, is a supreme prodigy who has reached the World Realm before the age of fifty. She would be an exceptional match for a talent such as yourself."
A young woman standing behind him stepped forward, her eyes glittering with pride as she offered a polite bow. "It would be an honor to cultivate alongside you, Your Highness," Elena said, her voice smooth and confident.
Before Victor could respond, a towering man clad in azure armor made of compressed star-metal physically pushed past the elderly patriarch, his massive voice booming over the ambient hall music. "Ignore that old fool, young man! I am High Marshal Drake of the Thunder Sovereign Domain. Wealth and territory mean nothing to true cultivators. My daughter, Seraphina, is the undisputed rank one prodigy of our eastern quadrant. She needs a husband who can match her terrifying combat strength!"
Seraphina, wearing dark blue battle armor that highlighted her athletic stature, stepped up beside her father and looked directly into Victor’s eyes with an intense, challenging gaze. "I do not care for political alliances, Victor Walker. But I respect strength above all else. Marry me, and together we can dominate the central star domains."
Sofia let out a soft, amused chuckle beside Victor, leaning in slightly. "You see, junior brother? This is what happens when you shatter universe-level records. Everyone wants a piece of your future."
Shortly after, several other distinguished female prodigies from top-tier races bypassed their elders entirely, stepping forward to propose themselves directly. A ethereal maiden wrapped in shimmering frost aura approached with graceful steps, stopping merely two feet away from Victor.
"I am Kaelen of the Frozen Peak Domain," she declared calmly, her cool eyes fixed entirely on him. "I offer myself to you as a companion. My ice spirit body will greatly aid your cultivation speed, and I require no grand titles or ceremonies."
"Sorry ladies and gentlemen, I already have a fiance," Victor declared with a calm, grounded smile that gently shut down the barrage of marriage proposals.
A collective wave of sadness and disappointment washed over the crowd. Many young prodigies sighed, while galactic patriarchs shook their heads, lamenting the missed opportunity to tie their bloodlines to such a transcendent talent.
"Oh? Who is she junior brother?" Sofia asked, stepping beside him with an intrigued expression, having just finished her conversation with the demonic officials.
"I’ll take her someday to meet with you senior sister," Victor replied, his eyes softening slightly as he thought of her.
"No need for that. She is already here."
Boom!
A tremendous aura suddenly released by a group of people who entered the grand hall room. The heavy pressure rippled through the massive space like a physical shockwave, causing the floating tables to tremble and the hanging crystal nebulae to flicker violently.
"Who are they? How audacious to release their aura here," muttered several racial envoys, clutching their chests under the heavy pressure. Though people were afraid by the apocalyptic aura, they believed the elven race was stronger and would handle them soon, considering this was the core territory of the elven empire.
Then they saw the new comers. Five people entered the room, moving with an eerie, unbothered confidence, and a remarkably beautiful woman was standing quietly among them.
"The heavenly demon race," the faces of the envoys of the supreme races turned pale. The ambient chatter in the vast banquet hall died instantly, replaced by a suffocating, absolute silence. A god race was here.
Victor turned his gaze toward the entrance and looked at them. He recognized two from the five immediately. Diana was here, standing quietly in the center, and beside her was Yehan. He didn’t recognize the leader, though. He was a middle-aged man with handsome features, dressed in dark robes that seemed to absorb the light around him. They had that calm and commanding presence as if real gods had descended among mortals.
Victor became happy seeing Diana here after such a long time, a rush of relief washing over his chest. But then his happiness vanished completely.
Her eyes were hollow, staring blankly ahead as if she was sleepwalking. There was no excitement on her face, no spark of recognition, even after seeing Victor standing just a short distance away.
Victor suddenly felt a jolt in his heart, a sharp spike of cold adrenaline piercing his chest. He instantly knew something was wrong.
"Master, that woman’s soul is under a curse by a universal supreme," Astrion’s voice entered his mind, cold and precise.
Victor clenched his fist until his knuckles turned white, his veins bulging beneath his skin. His aura flared for a fraction of a second as he prepared to step forward and snatch her away from the group by force.
"Don’t be in haste master. The curse is extremely delicate. Without killing the caster, even I won’t be able to remove the curse unless I become a cosmic entity," Astrion replied swiftly inside his mind, halting Victor’s advance.
Victor stopped his movement, suppressing the boiling rage deep within his soul, forcing his expression to remain completely neutral.
"Victor, won’t you greet your creators?" Suddenly the leader of the heavenly demon race looked at Victor and smiled coldly, his sharp eyes locking onto the young man. "We brought lady Diana here as well. How can you not show any enthusiasm?"
The surrounding diplomats and envoys exchanged bewildered glances, completely lost.
"What? What creator?" people were confused, whispering frantically among themselves.
"Looks like you don’t know. Victor is a test subject from one of our breeding grounds. So he is basically a Heavenly demon slave," a young man standing behind the leader replied with a haughty face, looking down on Victor with absolute contempt.
They had initially considered asking Victor politely to join the heavenly demons to secure his unique power, but seeing his sharp, knowing expression, they already understood that Victor had learned about their broader scheme. Realizing negotiation was pointless, they discarded all pretense and showed no further restriction or restraint.
Suddenly, a shimmer of radiant light cut through the hall, and Lord Cristofer appeared directly in front of them, his grand Universal Realm pressure stabilizing the surrounding space.
"Greetings Your Highness Klaus. Please take a seat and we can talk. Victor is my disciple," Cristofer said respectfully to the middle-aged leader.
They were both universal emperors in terms of raw cultivation, but the standing and background of the heavenly demon leader were vastly superior due to his god race heritage.
