Chapter 100: Elite Vanguards appeared
Chapter 100: Elite Vanguards appeared
He used teleportation once more and finally arrived in Aurora City.
The city was more crowded than before. Streets were filled with awakeners, merchants, and federation officials moving in structured urgency.
Everything felt active, almost like the world itself had accelerated.
Diana probably already started the merging process, he thought to himself.
Without wasting any time, he changed direction toward the federation hall.
He contacted Arthur through the communication link.
"President, meet me. It is urgent," he said firmly.
Then he sent a message to Diana as well, keeping it brief and direct.
Within twenty minutes, all the sages gathered inside the federation hall.
The atmosphere inside the hall shifted immediately.
An immense pressure spread through the space, not from hostility but from pure power.
Everyone could feel it clearly.
It was coming from Victor, but it was not magus aura.
Arthur’s expression turned serious as he observed him closely.
"Which level are you at in martial cultivation?" Arthur asked.
Victor stood calmly, his expression steady and unreadable.
"I have reached the Sage level," he replied.
A brief silence followed those words.
Even among sages, that statement felt unreal.
"Sage level?" Elyndros repeated with visible shock. "This soon? How did you manage it?"
Victor did not answer immediately. His gaze moved across the room as if measuring the weight of time itself.
"It is a long story," he finally said. "But I am here today because I need the help of humanity."
The moment those words were spoken, the mood in the hall changed.
Everyone became alert. They understood that when Victor spoke like this, the situation was never ordinary.
Diana stepped forward slightly.
"What kind of help do you need?" she asked.
Victor’s expression darkened slightly.
"From this moment onward, every awakener must assist in capturing monsters alive," he said. "I need all monsters to be delivered without killing them."
A few murmurs spread across the hall, but no one interrupted him.
He continued in the same calm but heavy tone.
"I will handle the killing myself. You only need to gather and transport them."
He paused briefly before adding further instructions.
"This message must be spread across all of humanity. It must be done immediately."
Arthur narrowed his eyes slightly.
"And what will people gain from doing this?" he asked.
Victor looked at him directly.
"They will receive system points for each monster submitted alive. In fact, they will receive double the amount compared to killing them normally."
A wave of surprise passed through the sages.
"System points?" Lyria asked in disbelief. "You are able to negotiate with the world system?"
Victor did not show any pride or hesitation.
"I suppose I can," he replied simply. "There is no time left for doubts. The apocalypse behemoth is showing signs of awakening."
Only then did the Sages understood why Victor looked so agitated.
"Why would it awaken now? Didn’t we have 10 years in our hand?", Merlin asked with a frustrated tone.
" Well, one thing lead to another.", Victor replied and continued again.
"We do not have much time remaining. Everything must be prepared as quickly as possible."
Arthur nodded immediately.
"We will relay the announcement across all channels without delay," he said.
Victor gave a final instruction before turning away.
"There will be a global system announcement. You only need to organize efficiency. Collect monsters from awakeners and send them to me."
The meeting ended soon after that.
A moment later, a notification echoed across the world.
[Global Announcement: All awakeners on Ethereum are instructed to capture monsters alive and submit them to federation personnel. Each monster submitted will grant twice the system points compared to normal kills. From this moment onward, killing monsters is forbidden.]
Shock spread across every region of the world.
Awakeners stared at the message in disbelief, unable to process what they were reading.
Inside the federation hall, Arthur remained silent for a moment.
He had always believed the system was a distant, godlike existence that no one could influence.
Now, that belief had completely collapsed.
Victor had changed the rules of the world itself.
Diana stepped closer to Victor as others began dispersing to carry out the orders.
"You are really doing all of this alone," she said quietly.
Victor looked at her for a brief moment.
"Do not fight any monster unless it requires more than one percent of your strength," he said. "Coordinate with the other sages and support the collection effort instead."
Diana frowned slightly.
"Can you tell me about the origin of my power?" she asked.
Victor paused for a moment, then shook his head.
"The system will explain it to you in detail. I am leaving now."
Before she could respond, he disappeared from the hall.
Diana remained still for a moment, watching the empty space where he had been.
She wanted to follow him, but she also understood that he was carrying responsibilities far beyond her understanding.
Victor reappeared in the wilderness.
The land stretched endlessly around him, silent and untouched compared to the cities.
A short while earlier, the system had only accounted for monsters on land.
The ocean had been excluded completely.
Now he needed to change that.
"Tell me about the ocean monsters," Victor asked calmly. "How much can I gain in one month if I move without stopping?"
The system responded immediately.
[Around one billion points.]
Victor exhaled slowly.
The ocean was still largely untouched by humanity. That made it dangerous, but also extremely valuable.
He made his decision without hesitation.
He would handle the ocean personally.
Humanity would handle land monsters and gather them in one place.
This division of labor was the fastest possible method.
Meanwhile, far away from Ethereum, in the Andromeda galaxy,
"My lord," a humanoid dragon reported with urgency. "Our vanguard team has been eliminated. Something powerful is present on that planet."
The figure sitting on the main seat did not show surprise.
Instead, a slow smile formed on his face.
"That planet is capable of producing something strong enough to kill a pure blood demonic dragon," he said calmly. "It is indeed interesting."
His eyes narrowed slightly.
"It seems our company has discovered a treasure."
The atmosphere in the chamber turned colder.
"Send a batch of elite vanguards. If they fail as well, we will deploy the main army."
The subordinate hesitated for a moment.
"There is a competing company as well. They must not discover this planet."
The lord leaned forward slightly, his expression calm but dangerous.
"Handle the officials of the Resource Gathering Ministry. We must secure exclusive rights to that planet."
"Send elite team 7."
The subordinate froze slightly.
"Elite team 7 is currently on another mission," he said carefully. "Their captain recently broke through to Lord level."
The lord did not change expression.
"That makes them perfect for testing."
He leaned back slightly.
"If they fail, deploy the next wave of elites."
The subordinate hesitated.
"That will take thirty days."
The lord nodded.
"That is fine. We will use that time to prepare the purple dungeon."
The subordinate bowed.
"As you command."
The conversation ended, and preparations began immediately.
Thirty days passed in silence and constant destruction.
Victor remained active without pause.
He moved across oceans, continents, and hidden monster zones, collecting enormous amount of points.
At one point, he sat alone on a remote island.
[Evolution Points: 300 million]
"How many points worth of monsters have been collected over there?", he asked.
The system’s voice echoed in his mind.
[Around 2 billion monster points have been collected on the surface.]
Victor narrowed his eyes slightly.
"That is not enough," he said quietly.
A strange feeling pressed against his instincts.
Something was approaching.
Something large.
"Looks like I will need to break through to Sage realm first, or possibly even Elemental Lord realm," he muttered.
He raised his hand slightly.
"How many points are required to break through Sage realm?"
[One billion points. For Lord realm, calculation will be available after Sage breakthrough.]
Victor clicked his tongue in frustration.
"That is too much," he said.
He had been fighting nonstop, using even his avatar to maximize efficiency.
Yet he had only accumulated three hundred million points.
The gap was still large.
Suddenly, the system spoke again.
[Victor, demonic dragons are attempting to open a purple dungeon. A Lord-level entity is likely to descend. What will you do?]
His expression changed instantly.
A wave of rage flashed through his eyes.
"So they are finally moving again," he said coldly.
He looked at his skill interface.
[Mythical Spell: Avatar.
Required points: 200 million.]
He did not hesitate.
"How much for Epic rank?" he asked.
[One hundred million points.]
"And the sword needs 10 millions."
Victor exhaled slowly.
"I am still short," he muttered.
Then his eyes sharpened.
"Still, I will reach Epic realm first. Then evolve the spell."
The system responded immediately.
[Ding! Two hundred million evolution points deducted.]
[Mythical spell "Avatar" has evolved into Lord rank spell "Incarnation".]
[Incarnation: You can create an elemental lord realm incarnation.]
Victor observed the result.
The ability had changed in name and tier, but its structure remained familiar.
However, the power behind it had increased.
That alone was enough.
He immediately spent the remaining points.
[Ding! One hundred million evolution points deducted.]
...
At that moment, the sky over Aurora City began to shift violently.
Cracks of dark energy spread across the heavens.
A pressure unlike anything before descended upon the world.
Citizens stopped in place, staring upward in fear.
Inside Aurora City, sages felt their instincts scream.
Something was arriving.
A massive dungeon gate began forming in the sky.
It was not white.
It was not red.
It was purple.
A sage whispered in disbelief.
"I have never seen a purple dungeon before."
Diana stood still, her expression cold and focused.
"That is not a normal dungeon," she said quietly. "An elemental lord is coming."
She began preparing for battle instinctively, but then she stopped.
Her expression changed slightly as she remembered Victor’s instructions.
If she fought something beyond her limit, her bloodline might be exposed.
That possibility carried consequences far greater than the current crisis.
Her hand lowered slowly.
She looked at the forming gate in the sky.
"Victor," she murmured. "Are you truly able to handle this without me?"
