Chapter 258 - 219: Qunxu Continent
Chapter 258: Chapter 219: Qunxu Continent
At the apex of the Supreme Capital, where wind and snow converged, Zhang Ji relished his roast duck with rice.
Below, Starships were rapidly loading and unloading cargo.
The Saint Silver Church Country’s Demon Crystal Ore resources were bountiful. With Origin Star’s current mining techniques, there was little concern about running out of Magic Crystals anytime soon.
Demon Energy Technology also had its own merits. Ether particles, in particular, were extremely malleable and had applications in all sorts of areas.
In addition, Zhang Ji was also planning his next steps.
After obtaining the Primordial Sword Bone through modification, he had gained new insights into the combat style of the School of Principle.
He had made the Celestial Intent Seal his next modification target.
He planned to use the systems of Spirit Patterns and sigils to modify it, transforming it into one of his own organs with his Alchemy Skills and then installing it.
This concept had already received Shen Xi’s approval, and it was currently working out a suitable method.
Once the calculations were complete, Zhang Ji would soon be able to install an organ capable of unleashing an incredibly powerful attack.
The strike from the Celestial Intent Seal could practically be considered the strongest attack Zhang Ji currently had at his disposal.
Although the energy consumption was a bit high, as long as the great array of the Celestial Essence Realm was completed, he wouldn’t be short on energy.
Furthermore, if his subsequent Inner World method succeeded, he most likely wouldn’t have to worry about energy consumption either.
Suddenly, Zhang Ji gazed into the distance, his expression growing profound.
At that moment, several time-space rifts appeared on Origin Star.
Back when he played the game, by the time of the Interstellar Journey expansion, there were several hundred time-space rifts in total.
They connected to hundreds of worlds, some large and some small, some dangerous and some weak, and some so barren they had no resources to speak of.
Zhang Ji was certain that they were now on the eve of the Time-Space Disorder expansion.
Speaking of which, he was really a bit ahead of the current version.
With his current strength, he should be considered quite top-tier in any of the numerous time-space rift dungeons.
With a flicker of his thought, the Spiritual Projection Device activated, projecting an image of Cyril before him. Cyril was currently training in the Ruins Realm within his dojo.
"Cyril, a few time-space rifts have appeared. Arrange for some people to investigate and bring back information," Zhang Ji said.
After saying that, he closed the projection and continued eating his roast duck with rice.
After finishing his meal, he casually grabbed a handful of wind and snow. His Re-Creating Heaven and Earth Hand directly transformed it into another serving of roast duck with rice.
However, after just one bite of this serving, Zhang Ji lost his appetite.
"It has no soul."
Although it tasted the same, it lacked the process of a chef’s cooking, and eating it truly felt like something was missing.
From Zhang Ji’s perspective, it was missing a story.
When he ate, he could always see the journey of the food, from its creation to the moment it became a meal, which was a very interesting process.
But the one he created out of thin air wasn’t the same; he couldn’t read much information from it at all.
In that sense, it was even worse than a pre-packaged meal from a factory.
Still, Zhang Ji didn’t let it go to waste, eating everything, plate and all.
There was no need to worry about digestion; for him, he could now eat dirt and convert it into energy.

「Late November.」
Origin Star had undergone many changes.
The success of the interdimensional war allowed more resources to be brought over.
At the same time, numerous technologies on Origin Star were officially released for commercial use, greatly improving the lives of the populace.
The cost of living for ordinary people was approaching zero.
Even if you decided to just slack off and do nothing, you were still guaranteed food and shelter.
It didn’t matter; it was just like maintaining a combat-ready unit.
If things ever got desperate and you were needed, they could just modify you with Alchemy Technology and throw you onto the battlefield as basic cannon fodder.
Additionally, the plan for universal evolution had been launched.
An Alchemy Bloodline Potion called "Overlimit" was put into production.
As its name suggested, once this bloodline potion was injected, an ordinary person could, with a certain investment of resources and training, obtain the physique of a Transcendent Level martial artist.
Depending on individual talent and available resources, the entire process would take about five to ten years.
Ultimately, it was no longer a dream for the entire population to reach C-Class.
Star Vein Resonance Elixir was also being used on a massive scale.
Robby had developed it a long time ago. However, the production of Star Moss was limited back then, so Zhang Ji only used it as a reward for those close to him. But now, the supply of Star Moss was completely different. It was already being cultivated on a massive scale in the Rhombus Star World. The ozone layer there had been destroyed, and Star Moss happened to be a special plant that thrived by absorbing celestial energy. Toss some over there, add a bit of Alchemy Growth Potion, and it grew everywhere.
Anyone with a little knowledge of Alchemy could buy the materials online and make it themselves. Even buying it directly didn’t cost much—it was barely more expensive than purified water. Finished drinks were readily available in stores.
After drinking it, a bit of sunbathing could rapidly increase bloodline integration and accelerate its growth.
The technology for miniaturized, controllable nuclear fusion reactors—the Iver Miniature Fusion Reactor—had also matured.
It had already passed military testing.
During the recent attack on Lan’er World, the combat robots equipped with this power system were so powerful that ordinary B-Class martial artists were no match for them at all.
Their long-range Energy Cannons fired continuously, providing suppressive fire that frustrated even Master Level Extraordinaries.
Their Magic Power reserves were not even one-thirtieth of a single reactor’s.
If they were truly outmatched, the robots could also self-destruct.
In an instant, they could obliterate everything within a few hundred meters, and since it was clean energy, there was no pollution.
Of course, aside from military applications, the more significant changes were in production.
Origin Star had already begun production reforms before, but now the changes were even more thorough.
Mechanized labor had been fully implemented across the board.
Human labor would soon be completely obsolete.
For a civilization to reach for the stars, how could it let its intelligent individuals spend their days on an assembly line?
They needed to go out and explore, to risk their lives and evolve!
There were so many worlds waiting for them to pioneer, to expand the frontiers for Origin Star and the Saint King Council.
Being shackled by repetitive labor was far too wasteful.
Zhang Ji also planned to wait until more Starships were built, then open up exploration to civilian teams, allowing them to cross the time-space rifts and carve out new territories.
With so many worlds, the current manpower was nowhere near enough.
For Origin Star to develop rapidly, the populace had to be mobilized.
They needed to join this great age of exploration, to go prospecting for gold together.
Buy a ticket for a ship, and you could head directly to an Otherworld to pioneer. Any resources brought back would be reviewed and inspected by the Origin Star platform. If they were deemed safe and valuable, they could be sold directly through the platform. You could also purchase materials from other worlds on this same platform to speed up your own growth.
Only then would the foundation of this platform truly be laid.
It would finally start to resemble the Interstellar Journey expansion.

「December 1st.」
Zhang Ji found Robby, who seemed to be on the verge of a mental breakdown.
He was not in a good state. He was completely dejected, his complexion was awful, and he looked as if he had pulled ten all-nighters in a row.
But with his current physique, even ten consecutive all-nighters shouldn’t have left him looking so haggard.
"What happened? Didn’t rein it in after getting married and ended up ruining your body?" Zhang Ji asked.
For friends like Robby, he made an effort to grant them a sliver of privacy and respect and wouldn’t casually use his Prajna Stance to read their minds and personal information.
"The bloodline research failed," Robby said.
"Giles’s?" Zhang Ji asked, realizing what he meant.
"Yeah." Robby looked as though his entire understanding of the world had been overturned. "I’ve never seen a bloodline like it. The deeper information is completely unobservable. Every time I look, the data is different. It’s constantly changing, presenting new combinations. With our current observation methods, it’s completely impossible to get a true picture..."
If it couldn’t be observed, it couldn’t be modified or transplanted with Alchemy Skills.
It was as if he had been working for nothing all this time.
But more than that, it was the bloodline’s reality-defying changes that he couldn’t comprehend.
Zhang Ji, however, wasn’t surprised.
If he wasn’t mistaken, Robby’s Ape God bloodline was definitely not a so-called S-Class bloodline.
It was the blood of an Old God.
In the game, the Old Gods were background-level, beyond-the-pale powers, classified as K-Class.
And K-Class wasn’t even a rank above SSS-Class; it meant that all beings beyond that tier were simply "K."
They were no longer part of that power-leveling system.
If Robby had actually figured it out, Zhang Ji would have seriously suspected him of having a system or something.
"How about you study my bloodline?" Zhang Ji offered.
He was very curious about his own current state and whether Robby could figure anything out from it.
Hearing this, Robby’s mood shifted, and the curiosity of a researcher once again took over.
Zhang Ji immediately gave him some tissue to study.
Even though they were separated from his body, Zhang Ji could still sense the cells and particles. No matter how far apart they were, a faint connection remained.
It was quite profound.
He felt that if his main body were to die, he could revive through the tissue sample he left with Robby, then quickly cultivate to recover to his full strength.
"Basically a phylactery," Zhang Ji chuckled.
With such powerful immortality, as long as he didn’t encounter a powerful being capable of cross-dimensional attacks, he could basically guarantee his survival.
He rather hoped Robby would be able to discover something.
However, if Robby really managed to create a bloodline potion from his genes, he estimated that few on Origin Star could even handle the genetic information it contained.

「December 3rd.」
The exploration teams Cyril had dispatched to investigate the Otherworlds returned.
They brought back information on all four worlds corresponding to the time-space rifts.
According to their preliminary findings, the first world was almost lifeless. It was mostly covered in yellow sand and completely unsuitable for life from Origin Star. However, it contained a considerable amount of minerals, as well as vast quantities of gigantic metal carapaces and skeletons.
The researchers speculated that life’s evolutionary path on that world had gone astray. Its lifeforms had evolved to incorporate large amounts of a certain native metal into their skeletons and carapaces. However, microorganisms couldn’t decompose this metal. Eventually, the accumulating corpses of these creatures destroyed the ecological balance, leading to a mass extinction event.
The remaining carapaces and skeletons were all highly energy-conductive metallic materials, making the world essentially a giant mine.
The second world was relatively ordinary. Its atmospheric composition was more complex than Origin Star’s, with higher oxygen concentrations. However, apart from extensive vegetation and numerous large beasts, nothing special was found. There were no intelligent species capable of developing a civilization, nor were there any traces of the supernatural.
The third world had not yet been fully explored. Based on the information gathered so far, this world was possibly immense and housed a civilization in a more classical era. They did detect supernatural traces and discovered a few human individuals possessing the physique and immense power of B-Class martial artists.
The fourth world was simply classified as hazardous. Its world barrier was severely damaged, leaving it almost completely exposed to the void. No living creatures remained, the environment was harsh, and the world was on the brink of collapse. Samples collected revealed no resources worth the risk of acquisition, so it was immediately labeled as having no development value.
Of the four worlds, the first and third had distinct characteristics that Zhang Ji recognized.
Especially the third one. If he remembered correctly, this should be the world known as the Qunxu Continent.
It was an ultra-vast, continent-shaped world with a diameter of over three light-years. It had produced numerous SSS-Class masters. Even in the Interstellar Journey expansion, it was a high-level dungeon world that was great for grinding.
Its resources were incredibly abundant, and it contained many ultimate treasures that would tempt even the top civilizations in the Origin Universe.
In that case, he couldn’t leave the exploration and development entirely to his subordinates. He would have to go personally. At the very least, he had to go and claim the top-tier treasures he knew about from the game.
