Chapter 133 - 116: Revenge
Chapter 133: Chapter 116: Revenge
"Ptooey!"
Gu Jie spat on him.
Lin Yuan was furious.
He would first break the boy’s arms and legs, then slowly tear his flesh from his bones...
"Lin Yuan, hurry up! I’m seeing something flying toward the Five Elements Sect on the satellite map. It must be Zhang Ji..."
The voice from the communication channel made Lin Yuan’s expression flicker.
Although he talked about getting revenge on Zhang Ji, in reality, just hearing the name scared him to death. He didn’t have the guts to take Zhang Ji down with him.
Perhaps it was because Gu Jie had seen through his facade of strength that he called him a weakling.
"Hmph. Let’s see how he feels when he loses someone close to him!"
"SHOOOM!"
"THWUMP!"
A beam of light pierced Gu Jie’s heart, blasting a massive, bloody hole straight through his chest.
Immediately, Lin Yuan didn’t dare to linger. He fired a random shot at a distant building before launching into the air and flying away at full speed.
’I’m at Mach 3! This is my top speed. He’ll never catch me...’
"BOOM!"
A tremendous bang erupted behind him. The next moment, a powerful force struck him from the rear.
Lin Yuan’s world spun as his body was uncontrollably slammed from the sky down to the ground.
Then, searing pain shot through his arms—the agony of them being forcibly torn off.
After his arms, came his legs.
They were severed right through the armor.
Blood sprayed everywhere as Zhang Ji ripped the limbless Lin Yuan out of his armor.
He infused Lin Yuan with Primordial Qi, sealing his wounds to stop the bleeding.
’Letting him die now would be getting off too easy!’
"Tell me where your accomplices are, and I’ll let you die a couple of days sooner," Zhang Ji said.
There had been fury in Lin Yuan’s eyes, but now, there was nothing but fear.
’I don’t understand. I can’t accept this.’
’Why? How did he catch up to me?’
’How can a human being be this powerful?’
Pain sent tears and snot streaming down his face. Fear made him tremble uncontrollably, and he was close to losing control of his bodily functions. But Zhang Ji forcibly sealed his orifices with Primordial Qi, denying him the chance to disgustingly embarrass himself.
Lin Yuan opened his mouth, but not a single word came out.
"This way?"
Seeing that he couldn’t speak, Zhang Ji pointed in a direction and asked.
A fluctuation in Lin Yuan’s Spirit denied it.
"This way? This way? This way!"
Zhang Ji now knew the direction. He grabbed Lin Yuan and headed that way.
In less than half an hour, he reached the coast.
He descended to the surface of the sea and scanned the area with his spiritual particles.
After a quick sweep of the area near the port, Zhang Ji locked onto his target.
With a faint lift of his hand, the seawater churned. Moments later, a massive submarine erupted from the seabed.
Zhang Ji gestured, and the sea dragged the submarine along, slamming it onto the shore.
"CRASH!"
With a deafening crash, the submarine was beached.
Zhang Ji approached, scanning with his spiritual particles. Mo Yu Primordial Qi gathered in his palm, compressed into a beam by the particles, and sliced open the entrance hatch, effectively cracking the submarine open.
Zhang Ji entered. At a glance, he saw people scattered about, knocked unconscious by the impact.
There were eight people in total. Three were already unconscious.
Of the remaining five, two were severely injured, and three stared in terror at the approaching Zhang Ji.
One man was holding onto something for support, his legs trembling, a puddle of urine spreading beneath him.
Seeing this pathetic sight, Zhang Ji couldn’t even be bothered to deal with them himself.
He took out his phone from the [Ark of Hope] with his left hand and made a call.
In less than twenty minutes, a helicopter arrived.
"Interrogate them thoroughly. See if there are any other accomplices," Zhang Ji instructed. "Oh, and don’t let them die too easily. Ratchet up the intensity a bit. This one can stay alive for a few more days. Understand?"
The one who could "stay alive for a few more days" was, of course, Lin Yuan.
The man who dared to come and provoke him personally couldn’t be allowed to die a quick death.
"To the Saint, this subordinate understands!" the man replied cautiously.
Zhang Ji’s words were simple, but they meant that a whole host of related individuals were probably going to die.
Even if he himself wasn’t involved, he was terrified of being caught in the crossfire should he fail in his duties and displease the Saint.
Zhang Ji waved a dismissive hand, no longer concerned with the matter.

「Five Elements Sect.」
Looking at the people lying in the hospital beds, Zhang Ji asked the doctor, "What’s the situation?"
The doctor’s name was Huang Ran. He had previously been a disciple and physician of the Five Elements Sect, and he was quite accomplished in medicine.
When the Five Elements Sect was disbanded, he was recruited by the government. Now, under Zhang Ji’s arrangement, he had returned to serve as the sect’s physician.
Huang Ran reported to Zhang Ji, "That man’s target for revenge was clear. The others weren’t the primary focus of his attack. Plus, you returned in time, so he didn’t get to carry out any retaliatory attacks out of spite. The casualties aren’t too severe—mostly minor injuries. However, five disciples have been permanently disabled. As for Sect Leader Chen, he has three broken ribs and some internal organ damage. He’ll probably need a year or so to recover..."
"What about Gu Jie?" Zhang Ji asked.
"Your disciple’s heart was almost completely destroyed, and his other internal organs were affected as well. Right now, he’s being kept alive by temporary medical equipment. We’re still searching for a compatible heart for him..." Huang Ran said carefully.
"How long can he last?" Zhang Ji asked, reading between the lines.
"If we can’t find one within five days..." Huang Ran trailed off.
Zhang Ji fell silent.
’I can’t be a nanny to everyone around me forever.’
’There will always be times when I can’t protect them.’
’Things like this are bound to happen.’
’So the best solution is for them to become stronger themselves.’
"Sigh. If we can’t find one, give him a grand funeral," Zhang Ji said with a sigh.
’Gu Jie really has a harsh fate.’
’His parents both died, one after the other. Zhang Ji took pity on him and wanted him to have a good life at the Five Elements Sect, but then this happened.’
’The kid has the worst luck.’
"Actually, there is another way," Huang Ran said suddenly.
"Speak," Zhang Ji said.
"In the Five Elements Sect’s hospital warehouse, there’s an Alchemy Heart that’s been stored there for a while. That heart is compatible with any living being, but it’s never been tested on a human. We don’t know what the consequences might be," Huang Ran said.
"That thing is still here?" Zhang Ji asked, surprised.
’He thought the government had taken that heart long ago.’
"When we left, we just stored it in the warehouse. I went to check on it when I came back. The Alchemy Heart is still there. It’s even still beating. The cell activity is very high; it’s not dead..." Huang Ran said.
"If we transplant it into him, what are the chances he’ll live?" Zhang Ji asked.
"Over ninety percent," Huang Ran said. "I’m just not sure about the side effects. I don’t know much about Alchemy Technology."
"Sigh. It’s a pity Robby isn’t here, or we could have asked him," Zhang Ji sighed, then said to Huang Ran, "Go ahead and do the surgery. It’s in the hands of fate now."
"Understood. I’ll go prepare for the operation right away," Huang Ran said with a nod.
