Chapter 114: Chapter 101: Be More Prepared Next Time

When Zhang Ji appeared on the jet bridge, countless eyes instantly focused on him.

Although they had confirmed he was on the plane, the Eastern Extreme Country’s officials still found it hard to believe when Zhang Ji actually swaggered down from the aircraft.

"Zhang Ji, surrender peacefully..." A drone flew up close to Zhang Ji, a law enforcement officer’s voice broadcasting from it.

Zhang Ji glanced around, a hint of disappointment on his face. There were only a few hundred armored robots. The drones in the sky were just standard models, and in the distance, he could make out two armored vehicles and a few heavy sniper rifles at most.

To actually cause him trouble, they would need at least a thousand combat-ready armored robots, along with bombers and rocket launchers.

And to think he had looked forward to this for so long, even considering whether he should avoid a direct confrontation. What a letdown.

’Looks like I’ll have to show a bit more of my power, let things build up.’

"My tea is getting cold," Zhang Ji said.

In the distance, Lu Yan and the others, hearing his words through the drone’s audio feed, looked utterly baffled.

"’Tea’s getting cold?’ What does that mean?"

Lu Yan didn’t understand.

Then he saw Zhang Ji move.

BANG!

In an instant, Zhang Ji was off the jet bridge and underneath the plane, landing right in the middle of the encircling robots.

’So fast! Was that a supersonic movement?’

With a seemingly casual palm strike, Zhang Ji brushed across the head of a Spirit Soldier.

CRUNCH!

The moment his palm made contact with its head, the Spirit Soldier’s head instantly collapsed inward, then burst apart.

BOOM!

Shattered metal fragments sprayed everywhere.

Before they could even react, a dozen or so robots had disintegrated in an instant.

The armored soldiers of the Bladed Edge squad in the rear opened fire.

"Fire!"

RAT-A-TAT-TAT-TAT!

A torrent of bullets rained down.

But this kind of attack had been useless against Zhang Ji before, and it was even more so now.

Zhang Ji could clearly perceive the trajectory of every single bullet.

’Slow. Far too slow.’

As if taking a stroll in a garden, he dodged the vast majority of the bullets. For any he couldn’t avoid, he simply stirred up a current of air to block them.

While moving, he even took out a few more Spirit Soldiers.

BANG!

BANG! BANG!

Three heavy sniper rifles took aim at Zhang Ji simultaneously. Using AI-assisted targeting, they predicted his possible evasion paths.

To their credit, the attack pattern truly did lock down his movements. If he didn’t use a burst of power, he would have to take a direct hit.

However, the heavy sniper rounds that had once been such a headache for him were now something he could completely ignore.

PFFT!

The defensive air current was torn apart.

The Wind God Kick only contained techniques for gathering air currents to attack. This skill of forming a Shield from those currents was something Zhang Ji had figured out on his own. Its defensive power was, at best, equivalent to the Grandmaster Level of the Iron Body Skill.

So it was no surprise the bullet tore through it.

But that was the extent of it.

VWOOM!

A deep blue Primal Qi flared to life, enveloping Zhang Ji completely.

Primal Qi Body Protection!

An incredibly domineering technique.

It involved spreading Primal Qi across the entire body for a perfect, gapless defense.

Under normal circumstances, a Grandmaster wouldn’t be able to hold it for thirty seconds before their Primal Qi was exhausted.

Even an ordinary Terrestrial Immortal couldn’t maintain it forever, at most holding it for about ten minutes.

But Zhang Ji’s immense Primal Qi allowed him to maintain it for over two hours.

Upon mastering the Five Forms True Skill, Zhang Ji’s Primal Qi reserves had increased twenty-fold.

Mastering the Profound Iron Body Refining Skill further increased his physical strength, which in turn massively boosted the amount of Primal Qi he could hold. Compared to before his breakthrough, he now had over thirty times the Primal Qi.

The Great Eater Technique provided the largest buff of all. Compared to his Primal Qi levels back when he fought the Bombing Missile, he now had over a hundred times more!

He had never tried it, but if he was given time to fully charge up, he could blast a trench over a kilometer long.

However, the potency of the energy itself hadn’t increased.

Only the quantity had changed.

To increase its potency, his only current method was to use his Spirit to compress the Primal Qi, enhancing its piercing power.

CLANG! CLANG! PFFT!

Of the three heavy sniper rounds, two were directly deflected by the Primal Qi protection, and the last one was caught barehanded by Zhang Ji.

He pinched it tightly between his index and middle fingers, its kinetic energy instantly nullified.

It didn’t even manage to move him by a single millimeter.

Back then, a heavy sniper round a tier weaker than this had been enough to send the Grandmaster-Level Zhang Ji flying.

Zhang Ji stood motionless, letting the bullets rain down on him, examining the bullet in his hand with a meaningful expression.

RAT-A-TAT-TAT-TAT-TAT!

PING! PING! PING! PING! PING! PING!

The bullets from the Pioneer, Bladed Edge, and Spirit Soldier units were deflected by the Shield of air, never even reaching his Primal Qi Shield, much less his skin.

His perfected Horizontal Training Power didn’t even have a chance to be put to the test.

"Looks like I might have overestimated you?" Zhang Ji murmured.

BOOM!

Zhang Ji raised his hand. The wind from his palm strike was ferocious, instantly shattering one armored unit. The violent shockwave sent two nearby Pioneer units flying.

This was the first time since the fight began that he had used one of his martial arts techniques.

’That’s right. Before, I was just throwing a few casual punches to see if the durability of these tin cans had changed.’

’Now, *this* is a true martial arts technique.’

The Tiger Palm of the Tiger Form Fist!

BOOM! BOOM!

He struck out with two more palms. Any unit he hit was instantly pulverized, the immense force and his Primal Qi invading the armor to shatter everything within.

The debris littering the ground was a testament to the terrifying power of his every palm strike.

In just a few seconds, the area around Zhang Ji was already full of wreckage.

Of the hundreds of Spirit Soldiers and Pioneers, less than thirty now remained.

The very same Spirit Soldiers that had once forced him and Zheng Chengze to flee were now no match for him in a single exchange. If he truly wanted to just finish off these armored robots, he could have simply fired off a few dozen blasts of Primal Qi to settle it.
