Nervous he must have caused critical damage, he unraveled his senses into reality, letting his will need over the humans scanning their bodies to detect the harm he must have caused.

When he was done he let out a sigh of relief, it seemed he merely caused a rupture in the outer layer of their eardrums.

And the vibrations stemming from the quake caused the humans a mild concussion.

The soldiers were recovering relatively quickly and would be just fine without his intervention.

The moment he made this diagnosis, he retracted his will quickly—now that it was more dense and strong, no one knew what effect it could have on the humans.

He didn’t want to make another mistake stemming from his neglect and ignorance.

Collapsing back to sit, he decided to continue contemplating while the soldiers recovered.

He would have loved to speed up the process, but till he was fully confident in reining in his strength, he didn’t want to intervene.

"Hm, I guess the Draconification gene skill has to do with the divine transformation I underwent." Seth deduced, delving back into thought.

He refused to accept that this gene skill was somehow a result of the rewards gained from exterminating the dragons.

The facts simply didn’t add up or make any sense.

Squinting, he reasoned it had to be caused by his bronze cells.

Stuffed into the divine body of a dragon, a divine beast, the bronze cells must have bound with some draconic gene which caused this translation.

Either that or Force Embodiment was the cause.

Seth wasn’t sure which of these two deductions were correct, but he was 100% certain it was between the two or at least related.

’Wait, I see, it would make sense that the transformation should be responsible for the sudden stats inflation.’ Seth’s eyes lit up as he arrived at a very likely probability of what could be the cause.

’I see...’ Understanding dawned on Seth’s face as he processed the context, finding his deduction more likely.

He reasoned that the stats maxing must have been caused or influenced by the transformation.

After all, it didn’t make sense for a weak body to be able to handle or embody the form of a divine beast.

His theory was that, in order for his body to be able to handle the transformation without exploding to a pulp due to overflow.

The system had found a way to directly strengthen his body to handle the situation.

This had to be a glitch, a way of improving without following the conventional path.

Seth didn’t know where the system must have found the means to pull off such a feat, because from his observation so far the origin didn’t work with nothing.

Stats were gained by recycling one’s dead foes’ energy, same happened for loots and gene skills.

The system was bound by rules, and for it to pull off such a feat on his body, it had to have come at a cost.

The energy used to supply these stats couldn’t have stemmed from nothing.

Seth once again cycled back to the same conclusion.

But eventually it was clear he wouldn’t be able to figure it out without more context, so he simply retraced his thoughts.

"Fine, let’s just find out what my new gene skill can do." Seth said out loud while rising to his feet.

But before he activated the gene skill, he first of all tried to glean details of it.

A simple act that was meant to reveal the gene skill properties... but when he tried it on the Draconification gene skill, it didn’t respond.

Or, more accurately, it did respond—it just provided a string of question marks.

Seth’s brows raised as he was caught off guard by the flash of question marks.

Since the first day of the origin descent till now, the most the system had ever tried to hide for him were names and words he wasn’t allowed to see or hear.

Never had it shown a string of question marks like this before.

It was not that it was trying to hide contexts from him this time but that it simply had no clue what the skill did.

"Could this lack of context be related to how I gained the gene skill?" He thought in wonder.

After all this could theoretically be the cause, because normally gaining a gene skill had to come from the system in one way or another.

Either it stemmed from loot drops, or a purchase from the Primordial Flash Sale System or other means.

Either way, once he tried absorbing the gene skill, the system would have a chance to interact with it and scan, finding out its properties.

The same could be said even when one awakened a gene skill stemming from their genetic lineage.

But perhaps because he gained the skill through an unorthodox method, the system simply didn’t have the chance to scan or read it.

That also made sense why he didn’t get a notification of acquiring the gene skill.

To put it in layman’s terms, the system had no clue when or how the gene skill ended up in his body.

This realization made him hesitant about activating it.

He didn’t know what it could do, and for all he knew activating it would morph him into a full-fledged dragon.

And soldiers around could be affected by the sudden transformation.

He might mistakenly trample upon them, killing them, plus since the glyph dragon was still silent, Seth didn’t want to take chances.

Without the instinct of the little guy guiding him, he didn’t have any confidence in not causing friendly fire and killing a few allies.

Letting out a helpless sigh, he shelved the thought—testing the new gene skill was something that could only be done once he was sure others wouldn’t be affected.

With that, he focused on the last change on his status display, the plus sign sitting behind his racial skill.

This was fairly easy to understand... it probably just meant the Universal Adaptation racial skill was extra effective now compared to when he was a bronze human.

Scratching his head as that was the only conclusion he could come up with.

But he still wouldn’t be sure till it activated, and seeing that it was a passive skill, he would have to wait to find out more.

At that moment pained groans began to ring out as the human soldiers stirred awake for the second time.

Wearing a guilty smile, Seth waited for them to rise so they could proceed to search for the others and, of course, clear the corruption zone along the way.

"I hope I find a charm beast, I want to see how I’d fare against one." Seth couldn’t help but feel a surge of anticipation at the thought.
