Meanwhile back on Seth’s end...

The dragons had erupted into a mass of annihilative force at point-blank, the raging tide of flame clashing with darkness swallowing him and the entire area whole.

Fortunately he had been smart enough to run in the opposing direction of where his recovering soldiers were located, sparing them of the full brunt of the blast that disregarded distance.

Swallowed by the blinding pain of flames and darkness tearing through his scales and the flesh underneath.

Defence, despite how tough he had come to be after this transformation, still couldn’t withstand the eruption of a titan-class lifeform.

His frame spun uncontrollably down a bottomless pit carved by the quaking blast, his mind going dizzy and blurry as the remnant savage force of his opponent’s will gnawed relentlessly at the edge of his mind.

Attacking him both on a physical and mental scale, the suicidal beast making sure to deal as much damage as it could and it succeeded!

"Fuck!" Seth hissed from the blinding pain of both mind and body suffering from damage, his flesh gone, left with nothing but a bony exterior protecting what was left of his organs while his vitality struggled to keep up with the damage he suffered.

The blast was everlasting and unrelenting even as the quaking force settled the remnant essence as though having a mind of its own guided by the crazed will of its dead owner ravaged against Seth’s body relentlessly.

The dragon really wanted him dead even in death the beast refused to let Seth be...

It wasn’t until, after a long, drawn-out time of suffering — his body reconstructed only to be ravaged again — that his body, forced by the extreme situation, finally entered a force adaptation state!

His bronze cells devoured the attacking essence energy, dividing even further, pushing to the peak of the bronze human state and gaining immunity against the dead beast’s force — only then did he finally see a brief opening to complete an instant regeneration.

His wings caught their grip on the wind, as he gathered balance and launched himself upwards. Spared from the blinding sea of pain, his mind cleared, finally free of the plague of his opponent’s dispersed will.

Seth wasted no time sorting up from down, and racing up and out of the bottomless pit in one streaking charge!

Whoosh!

He kicked up a burst of wind as he finally made it out, gliding in the air, his chest swelling and falling as he let out misty breaths, fortunately due to the dragon manifestation transformation he was able to filter out the oxygen he needed out of the perilous toxic atmosphere.

He glided over the abyss that was once land and lava all reduced to nothing...

Seth felt his scalp turn numb at the sight. These beasts really were scary if backed into a corner!

His eyes flashing coldly, "Next time I end them before anything like this happens again," he assured himself, finding this to be the only solution.

This time, if he had slain the dragon before it had a chance to even understand what was happening such a disaster would never have occurred.

But one couldn’t really blame him, even he didn’t know he would be dealing a fatal blow in one shot.

While he did expect the battle to go one-sided, he never expected it could be quite this lopsided...

This much power... it made Seth worry, wouldn’t the backlash equate to the power scale?

Plus there was still this...

[Warning! Further Draconic Transformation will be Activated in... 1m:03s]

With this much power did he still need more? He didn’t, but he still couldn’t stop the control.

His current state was that of a case where he might have been the one to start the engine, but the level of power generated had long spiraled out of his control.

Tapping into access to a power beyond his rank, he couldn’t choose when to stop or continue, not while he was still a mere awakened.

Flying far into the distance, Seth summoned his genetic battle suit’s helm...

Unequipping it, the helm landed in his grasp, as he pressed on the radio transmission, activating it.

"Do you copy?" he called to the static noise on the other end.

The battle suits of his entire unit had been scrapped by the dragon flames, so the only mode of communication could only be initiated by himself, and even if his unit could, they were all still probably unconscious.

And somebody had to inform the rest of the current situation...

"Boss... I.s... Th... Yo?" a voice barely comprehensible crackled over the transmission... letting Seth sigh in relief.

Fortunately it seemed only his side had been assaulted, and the raging explosion hadn’t affected the others by much.

"It is... Listen, there has been a change of plans, before I speak further I need to know if all units are still active."

There was a brief second of silence and static before...

"Uni...t o.n....e Acti...ive!"

"Unit t...wo act..ive!"

"...nit.. ree... tive!"

"Uni...t... four...."

"Unit... F...ive... tive!"

".....it.. Six... acti...."

One after the other, the units alerted their presence over the transmission, though the signal was a bit scrambled, it allowed Seth to clear all doubt.

Indeed his men were fine, a bit shaken up probably but still fine regardless, now...

"Good, now here’s the next mode of action, I will be needing you all to converge and retreat, I will be taking full charge of the assault from here, with any luck I will be able to install the device safely and retreat, but just in case, you guys should remain at the lava pit entrance ready to receive me if I can’t make it out on time!" he dished in one go, hoping they’d all get it.

With the choppy network he might have to repeat himself a few times, so without waiting for a reply, he repeated his words again, finally getting confirmation on their end.

"Understood!" their voice transmitted overlapping but clear, they got his orders.

Fortunately his men had come to trust him, no one wasted time objecting to his orders in concern for his safety, they all respected his decision and went with it.

"One more thing guys... be safe!" he said lastly before cutting off the transmission dismissing the helm.

In the distance, he finally caught sight of land... and what seemed to be a horde of berserk dragons laying in wait...

Seth’s expression twisted into a scowl. "You’ve gotta be kidding me..."
