Infinite Evolution: Dominating The Apocalypse With My God Tier Items
Chapter 303: Seth Dead?
Ash froze, sensing something off, the colossal dragon’s balance tilted ever so slightly, eyeing Seth’s crumpled silhouette warily.
The haze of darkness, coiling around Seth’s smoking frame grew thicker.
Inside his mental space the projection of the glyph dragon could be seen, rearing its head with glee as it stared through Seth’s eyes to see what was meant to be its future meal.
Its teeth bared as Seth’s consciousness assisted it, activating its ability... Dragon Manifestation.
[Warning! Warning! The host body is undergoing changes, genetic stability is lost, and it is advised to unequip the battle suit.]
Seth’s vision remained blurry, but his ears sharp as ever, he unequipped the armour, leaving his charred blistering flesh exposed to the toxic underground atmosphere.
It stung badly, he winced, a pained growl escaping from his throat, his chest glowed green and vital essence surged.
The icon of regeneration setting in as both bronze gene and the gene skill Vitality Overflow worked together to heal him.
All while an overflow of dark essence surged into his being.
His fingers dug into the burning mess of the cooling lava trail he was in, as he slowly rose.
Ash observed, feeling wary, the dragon’s flame core pulsed and its tail flicked.
It was a predator that gave no chances to prey, especially those considered dead.
Ash didn’t know what was happening, but the foreboding feeling budding in its heart definitely wasn’t good and uncomfortable.
But that was good, as long as it squashed the source, everything should be fine.
"Brother now kill that human!" Atherion’s voice rumbled from afar.
Ash scoffed, "Don’t tell me what to do! I know!" it growled.
The black dragon’s golden eyes glowed brilliantly, its wings kicked against the air, as waves of crimson rippled from the seams of its scales.
Smoke hissed from its nostrils, its claws digging into the earth for grip, this time Ash was more cautious.
It didn’t use just any ordinary flame breath, for the first time Seth was witnessing an ancient being who had gained power through cultivation activate a gene skill!
The dragon’s maws snapped open as a torrent flow beamed out, something that wasn’t flame, something darker, something more dangerous.
The beam struck tearing down on Seth and the earth beneath him, the dark current cascading with an unrelenting ruthless fury.
The air itself avoided the torrent, spiralling round the dragon’s breath as the element tore through all with an intensity that promised to leave no trace of its victim behind.
The dragon’s eyes glowed, as its essence roiled fueling its breath, and pouring more waves into the torrent caused the very earth to heave and crack.
The entire sky rumbled, as the dragon’s wings began to beat against the air, lifting its limbs away from the earth all while the intensity of its attack never dulled.
Darkness Blight!
They called it, a special ability Ash had awakened, a gene skill even if it never recognized it as one was what it was.
A skill that let him wield the dark matter to a certain degree, and that included manifesting pure raw darkness into a disastrous attack.
One that made it certain, this human would die, if it wasn’t already.
Just as this thought was setting in, its breath slowly calmed, its essence flow calming as its jaw snapped shut.
Hovering in the air, the beast stared down at the dark seemingly endless pit torn into the earth, one of its own making.
Reeking with thick coils of darkness, everything that was before the black matter breath had been eradicated.
The human too... it concluded, failing to sense any life force down the pit.
And even if the little thing might have survived, unlike dragons it had no wings, so getting out of a pit so deep, with his injuries would be impossible.
Ash felt satisfaction, its head swayed turning towards a certain direction.
"Hmmm, I did see a few more running that way... let’s get rid of the entire group now shall we." The dragon’s voice rumbled.
Its massive wings slowly rose pushing against the wind, causing heavy displacements in the toxic air currents.
And with a heavy flap... BOOOM!
The dragon’s frame tore into the distance in a blur, the heavy shockwave bursting through the area, and the wind clapping in turmoil in its wake.
Seconds passed before the area settled into silence, land now left in a smoking, molten, cracked mess, bearing the weight of both the dragon and its breath.
The pit of darkness remained silent, for a few more seconds, no commotion, no upheaval almost like Seth was dead?
Rumble, the earth shook, as mists of darkness wafted out of the pit, the entire lighting of the fiery plains becoming a few shades darker.
When a furious roar tore out of the pit, resounding through the skies and causing the earth to tremble.
Whoosh!!
The wind howled as a figure burst out of the dark depths of the pit, eyes glowing a brilliant shade of royal purple.
Half naked with an obsidian scaled skin, glistening beneath the minimal cover of the tattered clothes.
Behind him, protrusions of extra limbs, wings if you will, flapped, taking his frame higher.
While his glowing silver hair danced, his head held a crown of draconic horns, while his feet and hands glinted with bone piercing claws.
Basking in the wind, Seth closed his eyes for a few seconds to catch his breath... Just now that was close.
If not for Vitality Overflow he really might have been finished right then and there.
But fortunately it held on, till the glyph dragon could fully activate the dragon manifestation skill.
Seth’s eyes closed, he immersed himself in the familiar feel of overwhelming power coursing through his muscle strands.
His essence in multiplied quantity, flowing through his thickened pathways, bringing a soothing chill to course through him.
His scaled lids slowly parted, revealing a pair of pure royal purple pupilless eyes glowing in the skies.
His neck turned and his nose twitched, lining the dragon’s trail.
Behind him an extra limb peeked out from what was left of his combat pants, a tail flicking in the air like a snake that had caught the scent of prey.
Seth’s hands balled into fists, while his wings stirred heavily.
The dragon thought it could leave just like that? Fury raged in his heart, influenced by the emotions of the glyph dragon, Seth growled.
"My Turn!" The words barely echoed, when his wings moved, a thunderous clap of shockwave tearing through the skies while his frame catapulted forward soaring through the scalding skies.
Furious blasts of explosions trailing behind.
