Chapter 419: Chapter 419: Conflict Before the Entrance, the God of Lust’s Beloved

The man who was attacked was none other than Connor Webb.

Faced with the sudden, lethal attack,

his face showed no panic. Instead, a disdainful and cruel sneer spread across his features.

"Get lost, you piece of trash!"

Connor Webb barked, sidestepping with surprising agility.

He not only dodged the clumsy, artless stab with ease,

but he also followed through with a vicious kick to his attacker’s abdomen.

"UGH!" The attacker let out a muffled grunt. His body flew backward like a sack of potatoes, knocking over several people in the line and causing a wave of screams.

He wasn’t done yet.

Moving like a phantom, Connor Webb surged forward. Before his assailant could even hit the ground, he had snatched the metal shard from his hand. A cold glint flashed in his eyes as he ruthlessly stabbed back without a moment’s hesitation!

"ARGH—!!!" A blood-curdling scream echoed through the entrance as blood instantly stained the ground red.

The conflict had escalated, and blood had been spilled in an instant.

"Stop! What’s happening?!"

Laura Lowell’s expression changed drastically. She immediately cut off her communication.

The mechanical devices floating around her swiveled in unison, aiming at the center of the conflict, emitting a low hum and targeting beams.

She rushed over.

Seraphina Sullivan’s attention was also drawn to the sudden, bloody clash.

She had long been curious about the strange, miniature machines surrounding Laura Lowell.

She had assumed they were a part of Laura’s own Talent Ability.

Now, as Laura moved, she subconsciously activated her [Eye of Resume] and scanned her.

Only to find that the other woman was not a Player.

’Not a Player?’ Seraphina thought, her heart stirring.

’So, are these amazing machines "items" or "equipment" that other Players brought back from dungeon worlds, which were then collected, studied, and even mass-produced by the base to be issued to important non-combat personnel?’

This discovery gave Seraphina a new understanding of the Central Base’s technological level and resource integration capabilities.

Not only could they build those Sky Fortresses that looked straight out of science fiction, but they could also put high-tech creations from dungeons to practical use to some degree.

Their foundation was truly profound.

Of course, it was also possible these were surveillance devices created by someone else’s Ability.

But there was no time to dwell on it.

Everyone’s attention was fixed on the bloody conflict at the entrance.

Such a vicious attack and counter-killing right at the gates of the Central Base would have severe repercussions.

Laura Lowell rushed to the scene, her face ashen. "What’s going on?!" she demanded sharply. "Where are the on-duty law enforcement officers?! Why wasn’t this conflict stopped immediately?!"

However, she quickly realized something was wrong.

Several members in the base’s law enforcement uniforms, who should have been maintaining order nearby, were standing frozen in place like statues.

Their eyes were wide with terror, sweat beaded on their foreheads, and their bodies trembled slightly, yet they were completely unable to move.

They couldn’t even speak, forced to watch helplessly as the tragedy unfolded.

It wasn’t that they wouldn’t act—it was that they *couldn’t*.

Seraphina’s gaze passed over the chaotic crowd and locked onto the fat man who had just counter-killed his attacker and was now unhurriedly wiping the blood from his hands.

It was Connor Webb, the one who had been attacked initially.

What was even more eye-catching were the five young women surrounding him. They were all attractive, with outstanding figures, and dressed in relatively clean and decent clothes.

Some of them clung to him with fearful expressions, while others had vacant eyes, seemingly accustomed to the bloody scene before them.

In the apocalypse, it wasn’t strange for a powerful individual with Abilities to attract members of the opposite sex.

But this scene, combined with Connor Webb’s plain, even greasy appearance, and the complex expressions that occasionally flashed in the women’s eyes—looks that were not entirely adoration or dependence—made Seraphina instinctively feel that something was wrong.

’Something’s not right...’

Alarm bells rang in Seraphina’s mind. She activated the [Eye of Resume] again, this time aiming it directly at Connor Webb!

A stream of information flooded her vision. As she read the lines of description, a wave of intense disgust and a chilling cold crawled up her spine:

[Name: Connor Webb] (Divine Favored of the God of Lust)

[Gender: Male]

[Level: Level 3]

[Professional Skills and Talents:

1. Immobile: When holding your breath, you can designate one or more targets within your line of sight to enter a state of total paralysis, unable to move or speak. The Effect lasts until you resume breathing or the target breaks free with immense Willpower. The Effect is weakened or nullified against targets with a higher Spirit Attribute than your own.

2. Lust (Power of the Beloved): Passively emits a faint aura that slightly lowers the wariness and judgment of nearby members of the opposite sex. When actively triggered, it can significantly weaken a specific female target’s mental resistance, making her more susceptible to feelings of affection, trust, and even blind obedience. Note: Those with high spiritual power or strong Willpower can be partially or fully immune to this Effect.

3. Harem (Power of the Beloved): For each "wife" officially established through a certain "ritual" or "contract" (typically used in conjunction with the ’Lust’ Ability), Connor Webb gains one additional ’Life Replacement Time’.

When he suffers a fatal injury, one ’Life Replacement Time’ will be automatically consumed. The damage will be transferred to a random "wife" in his Harem, who will die in his place. The more women in his Harem, the greater his chances of survival.]

[Significant Weaknesses:

· Weak Spiritual Power: His own Spirit Attribute growth is low, resulting in extremely poor resistance to mental attacks, Control, and interference.

· Heavy Ability Reliance: The vast majority of his combat strength and survival assurance depends on the initial Control from [Immobile] and the life-replacement rules of [Harem]. His personal combat abilities are mediocre.]

After reading the nauseating description of these Abilities, especially the evil rule of [Harem] that treated his "wives" as mere consumables, Seraphina felt a vile rage shoot through her, and her stomach churned.

’How can you even call these Talents?’

’This is a clear abuse of the twisted Power granted by a Divine being—a wicked act of trampling on the will of others, treating lives as worthless pawns and tools for escaping death!’

The women surrounding him were likely poor souls controlled by his Ability, forced into an unequal "contract." Their lives were no longer their own; they had become this Demon’s "blood bags" and "human shields"!

No wonder he dared to act so violently and shamelessly at the entrance to the Central Base!

He had the Ability to control law enforcement, the trump card of "death substitution," and perhaps even some power or backing within the base!

"What a... disgusting Ability,"

Seraphina muttered, her eyes turning ice-cold.

’And this scum is a so-called Divine Favored?’

’The God of Lust? It seems some of these "Divine" beings are no better.’

On the scene, Laura Lowell had already called for backup. More soldiers and personnel wearing different insignias were rushing over.

Meanwhile, Connor Webb stood there nonchalantly, even brushing non-existent dust from his clothes, completely ignoring the injured person on the ground and the surrounding commotion.

The women by his side only huddled closer to him, cowering.
