Chapter 400: Chapter 400: Information on the Divine Kingdom of Sweet Dreams and Other Kingdoms

Upon returning to the pastry section, Seraphina Sullivan immediately dove into the tense yet orderly preparations for the banquet’s dessert course.

As the up-and-coming pastry chef who had been hand-picked by the Princess and had delivered an outstanding performance, she was granted a considerable degree of autonomy and permission to allocate resources.

This allowed her to unleash her creativity more freely and, at the same time, made it easier to execute her "little plan."

Following the banquet’s requirements to the letter, she began crafting a variety of exquisite desserts.

She was meticulous with every step of the process, ensuring the final products met the banquet’s aesthetic standards.

But amidst this busy process, Seraphina’s hoarding tendencies quietly began to surface.

Her eyes, forged in the fires of the apocalypse, had already marked all the special ingredients, leftover scraps, and even inconspicuous decorations in the pastry section—and indeed the entire kitchen—as potential "loot."

’Thankfully, Scavenger’s Farm is a Skill, not a physical item.

I can still use it normally in this instance, where items are restricted.’

As she deftly piped cream into a puff pastry, Seraphina used her spiritual power to secretly transfer nearly half of a nearby basket of fresh blueberries into her Scavenger’s Farm space.

Taking the opportunity to retrieve rare ingredients from the Vault of Special Ingredients—a privilege specially granted by the Princess—Seraphina kicked off her "zero-dollar shopping spree."

The key opened the great door of the vault for her.

The dazzling array of ingredients inside left her mesmerized.

The vault was located deep beneath the castle. Its walls were made of giant rock sugar crystals, the temperature inside was constant, and the air was filled with a complex, intoxicating aroma.

The shelves and crystal cabinets displayed ingredients the likes of which Seraphina had never seen before—like "honey" that flowed like liquid gold.

The sight left Seraphina dazzled, her mouth watering.

She didn’t hesitate, but she also wasn’t greedy enough to empty the entire place.

Instead, she selectively "transported" certain ingredients that, while relatively common here, were absolute treasures to her—along with a few samples of the rarest items—carefully moving them into a corner of her Scavenger’s Farm with her spiritual power.

The rainbow key seemed to grant her a certain level of authority, making her "transportation" process significantly smoother.

Just as she finished one "transfer of goods" and was gleefully contemplating her next targets,

"Pastry Chef Sullivan!"

A crisp voice, tinged with nervousness and shyness, spoke up beside her.

Seraphina turned to look.

She saw a fluffy, orange-furred squirrel wearing a miniature chef’s apron and a tiny white chef’s hat.

It was holding up a small cake, decorated with nuts and piped cream flowers, that was nearly as large as its own body.

It tilted its head back, looking up at her timidly.

The little squirrel’s large tail swished back and forth restlessly, its beady black eyes full of anticipation and a hint of anxiety.

Her Eye of Resume revealed his name was Beau.

"Pastry Chef Sullivan, could... could you take a look at this nut and cream cake I made and tell me what you think?"

The little squirrel lifted the cake a bit higher, its voice faint but full of passion.

"I followed the traditional recipe, but I always feel... like it’s missing something. The desserts you make are so highly praised by the Princess and Madame Spider, you must be incredible!"

Seraphina was a little surprised.

This was the first colleague in the pastry section who had been friendly enough to approach her and ask for advice.

She glanced at the little squirrel, then at the cake in its paws. While its design wasn’t exactly top-tier, she could tell it had been made with great care and generous ingredients.

Seraphina took the cake and, using a small silver spoon, scooped a little taste into her mouth.

The texture was rich and dense, and the crunch of the nuts paired well with the silky cream.

The coolness of the cream was also just right.

Although it couldn’t compare to the stunning creations she made with her Talent, it was a first-rate piece of work by conventional standards.

Above all, she could see the creator’s passion and attention to detail.

"It’s delicious," Seraphina said, putting down the spoon and offering her sincere praise.

"The nuts are roasted perfectly, the cream is whipped nice and light, and your measurements are precise. It’s a very well-executed piece, clearly made with a lot of heart."

"Really?!"

The little squirrel’s eyes instantly lit up like two tiny stars.

Its whole body trembled with excitement, and its large tail began to swish frantically.

"That’s wonderful! Thank you, Pastry Chef Sullivan!

M-my name is Beau!

My dream is to one day become the best—no, even just an officially recognized personal Milk Tea Master and pastry chef in the Peach Kingdom!"

Looking at this earnest, passionate, dream-filled little squirrel, an idea sparked in Seraphina’s mind.

The other chefs were either cold or wary toward her, making it difficult to ask for details about the banquet or this dream world.

But this Beau seemed so sincere and already admired her. Perhaps he was the opening she needed.

"Beau, your craft is already excellent. Keep at it, and your dream will definitely come true."

Seraphina started with a word of encouragement.

Then, she casually broached a new subject.

"By the way, Beau, have you been working in the Peach Kingdom for a long time? You must know this place very well, right?

I’m new here, so I’m still not clear on a lot of things about the Divine Kingdom of Sweet Dreams."

Beau was on cloud nine after being praised by his idol.

Hearing her question, he immediately puffed out his tiny chest and said proudly,

"I’ve been an apprentice in the Peach Kingdom for almost three years!

I’m no master chef, but I know quite a bit about the ins and outs of the kingdom!

Whatever you want to know, Pastry Chef Sullivan, just ask!"

Seraphina chose her words carefully. "For example... in the Divine Kingdom of Sweet Dreams, besides our Peach Kingdom, are there other... similar places?

How big is the Divine Kingdom, exactly? What are the other places like?"

Seraphina wanted to understand the larger world of this instance.

She figured this was the perfect chance to ask the little squirrel before her.

She had learned from Lamb that he’d been here many times and that this instance was incredibly vast.

Furthermore, the mission was different every time.

Beau blinked his beady black eyes, looking a little surprised.

"Huh? You don’t know, Pastry Chef Sullivan?

The Divine Kingdom of Sweet Dreams is huge!

There are lots of kingdoms like our Peach Kingdom, protected by the power of the God of Sweet Dreams! Most of their residents are friendly, and the kingdoms are themed around wonderful things like fine food, music, and art.

There’s the Peach Kingdom, which is all about desserts.

The Kingdom of Dorothy, which is all about music.

The Starry Kingdom, which is all about art.

And so on, there are lots and lots more!

For example, there’s the Starlight Concert Hall right next door, and the Rainbow Amusement Park a bit farther off.

There’s also the legendary Fairy Tale Library, hidden deep within a sea of clouds.

Every place has its own unique features and residents!"

He spoke with great enthusiasm, clearly full of love for his dream homeland.

Seraphina was stunned.

’It really is a massive world!’

’This isn’t a small instance at all, but a complete, multifaceted "dream world"!’

To obtain information more efficiently and discreetly, especially about the impending threat, Seraphina decided to stop beating around the bush.

She looked at Beau, who was chattering away excitedly.

A fragrant pink mist drifted from her lips.

Her Skill, Sweet Fragrance, had been quietly activated!
