Chapter 355: Chapter 355: Kill, Slave Whip

She watched Solomon Ennis through her sniper scope.

’The Slave Whip... Such a fine item, but what a waste. In your hands, it’s only used to satisfy your perverted desires.’

Seraphina Sullivan watched as he occasionally drew a long, glossy black whip that seemed to be woven from the spine of some creature.

He used it to shred a few approaching zombies, and a cold glint flashed in her eyes.

’Since he’s a potential problem—and one who has already shown clear hostility—it’s best to eliminate him as soon as possible.’

’It’ll save me from future trouble.’

Her killing intent was set; she no longer hesitated.

Seraphina Sullivan took a deep breath, concentrating intensely, fully activating the passive Effect of [Hundred Shots Hundred Hits].

She locked Solomon Ennis’s figure firmly in the center of her crosshairs.

She knew very well that against an opponent of this caliber, especially a Divine Favored, she couldn’t give him any chance to breathe or fight back.

With a thought, a [Space Bullet] began to coalesce in her "chamber."

This time, Seraphina Sullivan decided not to conserve her energy. She would go for a one-shot kill to eliminate this problem for good!

PFFT!

The first [Space Bullet] shot out silently, aimed at Solomon Ennis’s abdomen.

This would cause a massive wound but was less likely to be instantly recognized as a fatal attack, which might trigger some life-saving trump card.

PFFT! PFFT!

Immediately after, with almost no interval, the second shot aimed for the heart, and the third went straight for the head!

The three bullets formed a triangle, targeting Solomon Ennis’s three most vital spots!

...

In the plaza, Solomon Ennis had just smashed the last few zombies into meat paste with a single punch.

He was still fuming internally, ’Next time, I have to find a perception-type Skill or item. It’s too damn frustrating to let those rats get away...’

However, the very moment that thought arose...

An unprecedented, bone-chilling sense of mortal danger, one that seemed to freeze his very soul, washed over him like a tsunami!

It was ten times, a hundred times, more intense than when he was targeted on the battlefield with the amalgamate!

"Who?!"

He roared in his mind, horrified, his combat instincts instantly pushed to their absolute limit!

[Titan Power] surged wildly, and grayish-white skin instantly covered his entire body, pushing his defense to its peak!

At the same time, his [Slaughter Art] Talent activated in response to the threat.

A dense, almost tangible, dark-red killing aura rapidly flowed and condensed over his body, attempting to form a slaughter shield with the property of "conceptual defense"!

A dual defense!

This was his strongest defensive stance. In the past, he was confident he could even withstand a fully charged attack from an expert of the same level!

But this time, he had miscalculated.

The first [Space Bullet] arrived.

The seemingly indestructible slaughter shield and Titan skin, upon contact with the bullet, seemed to not exist at all.

It was pierced straight through!

And then—

TSSSK—!

A sound so faint it was almost negligible, like space itself being torn apart.

Solomon Ennis felt a sudden cold in his abdomen.

Looking down, he saw a basketball-sized, perfectly circular hole with mirror-smooth edges that had appeared out of thin air in the center of his stomach!

The organs, spine, and even parts of his abdominal cavity within it were gone, as if erased by a master-class eraser.

Vanished without a trace!

All that remained was a bizarre hole, clear from front to back!

BLECH—!

He spat out a large mouthful of blood mixed with chunks of his internal organs.

His eyes filled with incredulous horror and confusion. "Wha... at..."

Before the excruciating pain and the sensation of his Life Force rapidly draining could fully register in his brain, the second and third [Space Bullets] arrived one after another!

A similar hole appeared where his heart had been.

Half of his head was instantly sheared off.

The mixed expression of brutality, shock, and disbelief on Solomon Ennis’s face was frozen forever.

His massive Titan body swayed, the light in his eyes quickly dimmed, and then, like a clay statue with its skeleton removed, he collapsed to the ground with a THUD, kicking up a cloud of dust.

The man who had been a source of dread for Dustin Sullivan and Julian Shaw, the notorious "Player Killer," the Beloved of the God of Slaughter—Solomon Ennis.

Just like that, in less than three seconds, he died silently under the sights of Seraphina Sullivan’s sniper rifle.

He never even saw where the attack came from, nor could he mount any effective counterattack.

Confirming that the target showed no more signs of life, Seraphina Sullivan wasted no time. She immediately put away her sniper rifle and rushed to the plaza as fast as she could.

She had to get the loot before the surrounding zombies were drawn by the scent of blood and devoured the corpse.

After quickly dispatching a few stray zombies attracted to Solomon Ennis’s corpse, Seraphina Sullivan approached the body, her gaze immediately locking onto the black whip still clutched unconsciously in his hand.

The [Slave Whip].

She carefully pulled the whip from his grasp as she activated [Item Identification]:

[Slave Whip]

[Effect One: Physical Taming Whip] Continuously striking the same target with the whip will mix the excruciating pain with a kind of twisted mental pleasure, gradually eroding the target’s willpower and causing them to develop a pathological dependence on and tendency to obey the wielder. The number of strikes and the effect are influenced by the target’s Willpower, spiritual resistance, and the difference in spiritual power between both parties.

[Effect Two: Spirit Whip] The whip’s strike can be imbued with a powerful Spirit Shock, directly attacking the target’s spiritual core. After successfully leaving a "Spiritual Imprint," the wielder can forcibly influence or even control parts of the target’s thoughts, emotions, and simple actions within a certain range. The imprint’s effect can be stacked, but there is a risk of it being cleared by strong willpower or a Special Ability.

"The Effects are indeed bizarre and powerful..." Seraphina Sullivan murmured, running her hand over the cold, slick body of the whip, a flash of satisfaction in her eyes.

In Solomon Ennis’s hands, this whip was a menace.

But in her hands... well, it couldn’t be called a good thing.

But perhaps it could be a decent Control or support weapon, especially when dealing with tough-skinned targets or those who needed to be taken alive.

Seraphina Sullivan didn’t linger.

She quickly stored the whip in her Space, gave Solomon Ennis’s body a quick check for any other valuable items, and then turned and left without hesitation, her figure soon vanishing into the complex ruins.

A clean, efficient hunt was concluded, and a massive potential threat was eliminated preemptively.

And Seraphina Sullivan’s arsenal now included a new piece of equipment that had to be used with caution, but whose power could not be underestimated.

’Alright, I’ve got what I wanted. Now I can get back to focusing on clearing out zombies and completing the system’s mission.’

Seraphina Sullivan put away the [Slave Whip] and said to Sean Chandler and Flora Sullivan, "Next, we’ll..."

Before she could finish, Sean Chandler’s expression changed abruptly. His pupils contracted as he shouted sharply,

"Watch your back!"

"What?"

A chill ran through Seraphina Sullivan. Reacting almost instinctively to the warning, she tapped her toes to the ground and shot forward and to the side like a startled cheetah, simultaneously forcing her body to twist in mid-air to face the direction she had come from.
