Infinite Cashback: My God-Tier Cashback System
Chapter 240: Meeting Luca’s Parents!
The three of them paid no attention to the whispers spreading through the crowd around them.
After a brief silence, Vivienne stepped forward.
Just as everyone watching expected her to slap Luca across the face...
She smiled warmly instead, gently took Cecelia’s hand, and said with genuine delight,
"Don’t call me Miss Vivienne anymore. From now on, let’s call each other sisters. What do you think... Sister Celia?"
If this had been ancient times, Cecelia would have been expected to address Vivienne as her elder sister.
Fortunately, modern times were much simpler.
Vivienne had never cared about seniority anyway.
As long as Luca was happy, nothing else mattered.
Still...
Watching Cecelia become the first to carry Luca’s child made her feel a tiny bit impatient.
’If only we hadn’t used protection our first time... maybe I’d be pregnant too.’
The stunned crowd watched the two women walk side by side toward the G-Wagon, chatting like close sisters before climbing into the back seat together.
Many single men nearly collapsed in despair.
’How...?’
’How could two women who are both beautiful, successful, and wealthy willingly share the same man?’
’Why won’t either of them look at me?’
’Okay... maybe I’m not as handsome.’
’I’m definitely not as rich.’
’And... maybe I’m not as tall.’
’But other than that, I’m not much worse than him... right?’
On the other hand, a few women who dreamed of marrying into wealth looked at Luca with sparkling eyes.
Rich.
Handsome.
And obviously incapable of staying faithful.
Perhaps fate would give them a chance to meet him someday.
Who knew?
If they managed to get close enough, even a tiny fraction of his wealth could change their entire lives.
...
Inside the G-Wagon...
Luca drove while Vivienne and Cecelia sat together in the back.
"Where’s Trish?" he asked curiously. "Didn’t she come with you?"
Normally, whenever something exciting happened, Trish was always the first person to rush over.
Not only had she been looking forward to meeting Cecelia...
She’d practically danced around the house after hearing about the pregnancy.
Skipping today’s airport pickup was completely unlike her.
Vivienne covered her mouth and laughed softly.
"You really do know your sister."
"She wanted to come."
"But your Dad dragged both her and Rachel to driving school."
"If he’d let her decide..."
Vivienne smiled helplessly.
"...she might still be putting it off six months from now."
Luca shook his head with a helpless smile.
Not long ago, Trish had confidently declared she’d get her driver’s license within a month so he could buy her a sports car.
Reality...
Was very different.
Every lesson came with a new complaint.
One day it was too hot.
The next day the instructor was too strict.
Then the parking spaces were too narrow.
At the pace she was going...
Rachel might already be driving herself to university before Trish finally mastered reverse parking.
...
By the time they reached the villa, evening was approaching.
Inside, Mrs. Hale was busy cooking dinner while Naomi and Sophie helped prepare the dishes.
Hearing the front door open, Mrs. Hale immediately turned off the stove, wiped her hands on her apron, and hurried toward the entrance.
Luca smiled.
"Mom, this is..."
"You don’t need to introduce her."
Mrs. Hale rolled her eyes before gently taking Cecelia’s hand.
"Celia, come inside."
"You shouldn’t be standing around. You’re pregnant."
Then she turned toward Vivienne.
"And you too. You’ve been driving around all afternoon. Go sit down and rest."
Luca remained standing by the doorway, mouth slightly open.
He hadn’t even gotten the chance to finish introducing anyone.
Fortunately...
Naomi and Sophie walked over together.
Each gave him a warm hug.
Only then did his wounded pride recover slightly.
After glancing around the living room, he asked,
"Where’s Dad?"
Sophie smiled sweetly.
"He went to pick up Trish and Rachel."
"They should be back before dinner."
"Good."
Luca nodded before suddenly remembering something.
He leaned closer to whisper into Sophie’s ear.
Before he could speak, Sophie gently pushed him away, cheeks flushing pink.
"Naomi’s still here."
Naomi immediately puffed out her cheeks.
"That’s right."
"I’m still standing here."
She grabbed Luca’s arm and deliberately complained,
"You only whisper to Sophie."
"You never whisper to me."
Just as he was about to explain himself...
He noticed the mischievous smiles the two women were trying so hard to hide.
"So you two planned this together?"
The pair burst into laughter.
After laughing for a while, Sophie finally said,
"You wanted to ask about Rachel, didn’t you?"
"Exactly."
Luca sighed.
"What if she walks in and sees everyone living here?"
"That would be disastrous."
Rachel finding out wasn’t the real problem.
The real problem was...
What if Diana found out afterward?
He had always intended to tell her eventually.
Just...
Not yet.
Sophie smiled reassuringly.
"Relax."
"Rachel already knows."
Luca blinked.
"What?"
After Sophie’s explanation, everything finally made sense.
Some time after finishing her college entrance exams, Rachel had become obsessed with browsing online forums.
Since she planned to apply to San Fierro University with Trish, she often visited the school’s discussion board.
One day...
She stumbled across photos of Luca and Arabella together.
At first, she’d assumed he’d broken up with Sophie.
But after quietly observing her sister for several days, Rachel realized Sophie wasn’t heartbroken at all.
That’s when she figured out the truth.
Afraid Sophie had been deceived, she confronted her.
Unable to hide it any longer...
Sophie confessed everything.
She even begged Rachel to keep it a secret from their mother.
To Sophie’s surprise...
Rachel agreed.
She never told Diana.
In fact, she acted as though she knew absolutely nothing.
Luca couldn’t help shaking his head.
He truly hadn’t expected all of this to happen behind his back.
’If you don’t want people finding out...’
’Maybe don’t give them something to discover in the first place.’
...
Not long afterward...
Mr. Hale returned with Trish and Rachel.
The moment Trish spotted Cecelia, she practically flew across the room.
"Sister Celia!"
She circled around her excitedly, gently touching her stomach every few seconds while enthusiastically reminding her what to eat, what not to eat, what to avoid, and what to be careful about.
Anyone listening would’ve thought she was the experienced mother.
Meanwhile...
Rachel quietly found a seat in the corner of the living room.
She watched everything silently.
At one point, her eyes accidentally met Luca’s.
A faint blush spread across her cheeks.
She quickly lowered her head and silently mouthed,
"Luca."
Then she hurriedly looked away.
...
After dinner...
Mrs. Hale led Cecelia upstairs to share everything she knew about pregnancy and childcare.
Vivienne, Naomi, and Sophie naturally followed.
Even Trish excitedly tried to tag along.
Unfortunately...
Mrs. Hale stopped her at the door.
"Adults only."
The door closed in her face.
With a long sigh, Trish dragged herself back downstairs.
She immediately noticed Rachel sitting on the sofa, completely focused on a game on her phone.
"Rachel!"
"You’re gaming again?"
Rachel didn’t even look up.
"I invited you to play."
"You said no."
A few seconds later...
"Ugh!"
She tossed her phone onto the cushion.
"I lost again."
Luca smiled.
"You play games that often."
"Thinking about becoming a professional?"
Since he happened to own a gaming club now, the question came naturally.
Rachel immediately shook her head.
"No, no."
"I’m decent for a casual player..."
"But professional?"
She laughed and waved both hands.
"I’m nowhere near that level."
Besides...
She didn’t stick to a single game.
Whenever something looked interesting, she’d download it and give it a try.
Turning gaming into a career meant playing only one title every day.
That...
Didn’t sound fun to her at all.
