Infinite Cashback: My God-Tier Cashback System
Chapter 208: Brothers Reunited
"Bro, why don’t you drive a sports car? They’re way cooler."
Sitting in the passenger seat of the G-Class, Trish swung her long legs as she sipped on a jelly drink, admiring the scenery passing outside the window.
"I’m going to someone else’s wedding, not my own. There’s a difference."
If he showed up to Julian’s wedding in a supercar, wouldn’t that just look like he was trying to steal the spotlight?
A Mercedes-Benz G-Class was still a luxury vehicle, but with enough hard work, many people could realistically aspire to own one. A supercar, on the other hand, remained little more than a dream for most.
"Speaking of weddings..." Trish turned toward him with a mischievous grin. "Which sister are you actually planning to marry?"
She had been wondering about that for a long time.
There was no way her brother could marry all of his girlfriends.
If she had to choose, she’d vote for Sophie.
They’d known each other the longest, and Sophie had always treated her like a real little sister.
But she liked Naomi, Vivienne, and Arabella too.
’Brother can’t possibly date all of them and then just abandon the rest... right?’
"Honestly..." Luca smiled helplessly. "I haven’t thought that far."
Every woman in his life was incredible in her own way.
Any one of them would be someone’s dream wife.
The problem was that he had too many dreams standing in front of him.
Trish wasn’t surprised by his answer.
Her brother really was hopeless when it came to women.
But one thing she admired was that he never treated any of them casually.
Whether it was Sophie or any of the others, he was sincere.
If even one of them left, she’d bet he’d regret it for the rest of his life.
...
After arriving at Golden Water Bay, Luca dropped Trish off with Naomi.
Before leaving, he gently ruffled Naomi’s soft hair.
"I’ll pick her up later."
"I’ll take good care of her," Naomi replied with a smile.
Only after seeing the two women head inside did Luca return to the G-Class.
He had barely fastened his seatbelt when his phone rang.
"Bro, don’t forget my wedding today."
The voice wasn’t Evelyn’s.
It was Julian’s loud, unmistakable voice.
"As if I’d forget. I’m already on my way."
"Good. By the way..." Julian grumbled, "When are you finally taking my number off your blacklist?"
Only then did Luca remember.
He’d thought about removing it two days ago... then completely forgotten again.
"Ahem... slipped my mind. I’ll fix it now. I’m driving, so I’ll hang up."
As soon as the call ended, he removed Julian from his blacklist.
The moment he did, his phone started vibrating nonstop.
Message after message flooded in.
It looked like a machine gun firing notifications.
Luca opened the chat and couldn’t help shaking his head.
Julian had been sending him a wedding countdown every morning at exactly nine o’clock.
Day after day.
The man’s persistence was almost frightening.
...
By the time he arrived at the hotel, only a handful of people were gathered outside.
Judging from their appearance, they were all relatives of the groom.
Neither Julian nor Evelyn had arrived yet, meaning the wedding procession was still out.
"That’s a G-Class!"
The murmurs immediately spread through the small crowd.
While the vehicle wasn’t particularly rare among the wealthy, to Julian’s relatives it was still an unmistakable luxury SUV.
The younger ones stared with obvious envy.
After parking, Luca stayed inside, scrolling through his phone.
He didn’t know anyone outside anyway.
Just as he was chatting with Cecelia about when they should "work together" again, someone knocked on the window.
Looking up, he saw two familiar faces wearing identical grins.
One tall.
One short.
Luca motioned for them to step back before opening the door.
"Well, if it isn’t our dorm’s two top students. What brings you here?"
"Hahaha!" Noah Bennett burst out laughing. "See? I told you he hasn’t changed at all. No matter how long it’s been, the first thing he’ll do is roast us."
Caleb Ross sighed dramatically before transferring one dollar to Noah.
"I should’ve known better than to bet against you."
Noah accepted the transfer instantly, looking as pleased as if he’d won the lottery.
Watching him, Luca and Caleb shared the exact same thought.
’Still the same cheapskate.’
The four of them had shared a dorm room throughout university.
They were roommates.
Brothers.
And occasionally each other’s fathers whenever someone did something stupid.
After graduation, Caleb and Noah had both been accepted into postgraduate programs. They were only a couple of weeks away from finishing.
If it hadn’t been Julian’s wedding, neither of them would’ve traveled all this way.
"Bro." Noah circled the G-Class, inspecting it carefully. "Nice ride. If the boss hadn’t told us you’d made it big, I honestly wouldn’t have recognized you."
Caleb nodded.
"Same here. If he hadn’t mentioned it beforehand, I would’ve thought this belonged to someone else."
Their shock was completely understandable.
Back in college, everyone knew Luca’s family struggled financially.
While everyone else spent weekends gaming in the dorm or hanging out on campus, Luca was always out tutoring students to make extra money.
Quite a few girls had given up on pursuing him simply because of his family circumstances.
Now?
Only a few years had passed.
He was driving a G-Class, and the watch on his wrist probably cost more than most people’s yearly salary.
Without saying it aloud, both of them arrived at the same conclusion Julian once had.
’Could this guy actually be the hidden heir of some wealthy family?’
’Three years of secret training... and now he’s finally inherited everything?’
Luca could understand why they were thinking that.
Anyone would.
If they knew about everything else he owned, today’s surprise would seem almost insignificant.
The three walked toward the reception hall together.
At the entrance, Julian stood in a tailored suit beside Evelyn, greeting arriving guests with a smile so wide his cheeks looked sore.
"There you guys are!"
The moment he spotted them, his eyes lit up.
Taking Evelyn’s hand, he walked over to greet them.
"Congratulations, Boss. Sister-in-law." The three spoke almost in unison as they handed over their red envelopes.
"You really didn’t have to bring gifts," Julian said politely.
Even so...
His hands accepted every red envelope without hesitation.
As he passed Luca, he lowered his voice.
"I’ll return yours later."
He still remembered the villa.
Without that house worth tens of millions, Evelyn’s parents would’ve never agreed to the marriage so easily.
He and Evelyn had already decided they’d repay the money little by little, no matter how long it took.
Luca simply shook his head.
It wasn’t worth arguing over.
There was only eighty dollars inside the envelope anyway.
Practically pocket change.
[DING!]
[You spent $80 from the Host Account.]
[Triple Cashback activated.]
[Reward: $240.]
Luca smiled to himself.
’Not bad.’
He’d attended a wedding...
And somehow walked away making a profit of one hundred and sixty dollars.
