Infinite Ascension: The Chronicles Of The Infinite One
Chapter 75: Against a Constellation
Chapter 75: Chapter 75: Against a Constellation
As Aeon stood back up, his spirits rushed toward him, their voices laced with deep worry.
"Master, are you alright?" the Void Spirit asked anxiously.
Aeon spat out the blood pooling in his mouth, responding to them mentally. ’I am. I can’t be killed easily. But he is strong. Really strong,’ Aeon thought, keeping his gaze locked on the white-eyed figure.
Immediately, Aeon fully activated his Infinite Eyes of Omniscience. The mystical sigil manifested within his pupils as he sought to assess the enemy’s power.
But the moment he read the rank and combat stats of the entity before him, his expression turned deadly serious for the first time since arriving in this world.
’Shit, it’s a fucking Constellation. Even though he’s just a Low-rank Constellation, he possesses 70 Million Star combat power,’ Aeon cursed mentally, evaluating the massive threat.
’I only have 1 Million Star combat power. The bastard is seventy times stronger than me. As long as he doesn’t possess an item or an ability that can bypass my [Infinity’s Embrace] and completely erase my existence, I will survive this,’ Aeon reasoned, maintaining a cautious guard.
The armored figure broke the silence, his voice dripping with disbelief. "Hey, mortal. How are you still alive? Even if you healed the physical wound, the Ruin Energy should have corrupted and destroyed your soul."
Aeon didn’t bother to reply. Instead, he took immediate action. With a single thought, he shattered all the seals limiting his true power.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
Instantly, the atmospheric pressure around them spiked a million-fold. A thick, roaring torrent of multi-colored energy erupted, swallowing Aeon’s entire body.
The warrior’s white eyes widened in shock. He felt the terrifying surge of Aeon’s aura, sensing the immense, volatile power the mortal suddenly wielded.
After a few seconds, the blinding energy slowly receded, revealing Aeon’s newly unleashed form. Sprouting from his back were twelve magnificent wings.
Six were a half pure angelic and half dark angelic feathers, while the other six were the scales and leather of a dragon and demon.
A small Yin-Yang symbol was etched onto the center of his forehead, and his sclera had turned a pitch-black hue. His original horns were now accompanied by a secondary pair of devilish horns, though his draconic tail remained unchanged.
The white-eyed Constellation stared, completely taken aback by Aeon’s grotesque yet divine appearance and the illogical spike in his power—a level of strength no mere mortal was ever supposed to possess.
"Did you use a pill or an artifact to temporarily boost your power? It’s impossible for a mortal to naturally harbor that much power," the figure demanded, carefully examining Aeon’s new state.
’And that multi-colored energy is remarkably dangerous,’ the armored warrior thought, eyeing the energy pulsing from Aeon. ’I can actually feel a sense of danger from it. How can an energy exist that threatens me? It feels equal to Ruin Energy itself.’
Then, Aeon’s calm voice echoed through the clearing. "You’re a Voidborn, right? I never expected to encounter a Constellation-rank one so soon. My name is Aeon. What is yours?"
Aeon asked his question while materializing a sleek katana from his inventory. The Voidborn then stared at him for a brief second before bursting into a maniacal laugh.
"Hahahaha. Introducing yourself to your executioner? How honorable. I like you already, mortal. Well, it will be for nothing anyway, since you’ll be dying shortly. My name is Vorthak. Consider it an honor that you are permitted to know it."
Vorthak introduced himself with supreme arrogance. Aeon remained silent, choosing instead to equip his Nano Armor—a divine-rank suit he had received from Sophia.
Instantly, a deep purple, high-tech suit morphed across his flesh, seamlessly sealing every single inch of his body.
Unfortunately, because he was currently acting within the boundaries of the mortal plane, the passive effects of the divine-rank armor were halved. But something else bothered Aeon more.
How was a Constellation-level entity even capable of manifesting in the mortal realm in the first place?
Before he could voice the question, Vorthak vanished. He materialized directly behind Aeon, driving a heavy punch squarely into his back.
CRACK! BAAAAM!
Once again, Aeon’s spirits and his Nihil Protection barrier rushed to intercept the blow, but they were effortlessly shattered. The devastating punch connected with Aeon’s spine, launching him across the terrain.
"Huh? A mortal actually possesses a piece of Divine-rank armor? Hahaha! What a magnificent harvest! I’ll just slaughter you and claim the suit for myself," Vorthak mocked, watching Aeon skim across the dirt.
After sliding several dozen meters, Aeon stabilized his footing. He dropped into a low, focused stance, gripping his katana with both hands.
Funneling all of his concentration into the enemy, Aeon locked Vorthak with his Infinite Eyes of Omniscience, meticulously calculating his opponent’s next movements and highlighting his weaknesses.
Taking the initiative, Aeon went on the offensive. He raised his katana, gathering every single variant of energy at his disposal and condensing them entirely into the tip of the blade.
Instantly, Primordial Cosmic energy from his magic core, Primordial Martial Cosmic energy, and Primordial Spirit energy coalesced, stabilizing at the very edge of his weapon.
Aeon them raised the katana high above his head and, with every ounce of his strength, unleashed a violent downward slash.

SHINK! WHOOSH!
A microscopic, infinitely long line of compressed energy tore across the battlefield toward Vorthak, appearing as though it cleaved through both the heavens and the earth simultaneously.
Sensing the sudden, catastrophic threat, Vorthak rapidly erected hundreds of layers of fortified barriers made of pure Ruin Energy.
BOOOOOM! CRAAAACK!
To Vorthak’s horror, the incoming sword energy sliced through the hundreds of defensive walls as if they were wet paper. With an expression of pure panic, he watched the remaining edge of the slash land directly onto his chest armor.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
In front of Aeon, a deep, straight chasm was carved into the earth, while the dense clouds directly above them were split completely in half.
The zone where Vorthak stood was completely engulfed in a massive cloud of pulverized dust and debris.
Through his Omniscience vision, Aeon could see the result clearly. Vorthak had been forced back several steps. His dark armor around the chest was deeply gouged, and a stream of dark blood began leaking from the wound.
To Aeon’s disappointment, however, the overall damage was minimal. Despite the immense power behind the strike, only a relatively minor laceration had appeared on the enemy’s torso.
An attack of that caliber could have effortlessly bisected hundreds of thousands of stars if unleashed in open space, yet directed entirely at Vorthak, it had barely managed to draw blood.
As the dust finally settled, Vorthak’s expression had completely changed. He was utterly enraged—not because the injury was severe, but because he had actually been wounded and threatened by the attack of a mere mortal.
"You dare spill my sacred blood?!" Vorthak roared furiously. The deep laceration on his chest began stitching itself back together, healing completely in the blink of an eye.
Vorthak vanished again from sight, instantly reappearing right in front of Aeon in a crouched stance. This time, his fists were heavily coated in a dense, pulsing layer of Ruin Energy. With cataclysmic force, he drove a straight punch directly into Aeon’s abdomen.
Though Vorthak’s speed was astronomical, the Infinite Eyes of Omniscience allowed Aeon to perfectly track the trajectory. Even though his physical body wasn’t fast enough to dodge the incoming strike entirely, Aeon had no intention of letting Vorthak land a free hit.
The moment the devastating fist slammed perfectly into his stomach, Aeon invoked a single command in his mind.
’End.’
BOOOOOOOOM!
The kinetic impact of the punch launched Aeon backward, sending him tumbling hundreds of meters away. Simultaneously, Vorthak froze mid-motion, his eyes widening in sudden shock and agonizing pain.
"Aaaaaaargh!" Vorthak screamed at the top of his lungs, dropping heavily onto one knee as he vomited liters of dark blood mid-shriek.
Aeon, however, was far from unharmed. The moment he managed to stabilize his skidding body, he too collapsed onto one knee. His helmet retracted, and he coughed up a massive torrent of blood.
Instead of allowing his body to regenerate instantly, Aeon had actively chosen to seal his own passive healing factors.
’This is a perfect opportunity to harden my resolve, gain real experience and accomplish ’that’,’ Aeon thought, spitting the remaining blood from his lips.
On the other hand, Vorthak still remained .
in agony, continuously hacking up dark fluid. ’What is happening to me? I feel like my very existence is slowly being chipped away by an unknown force,’ the Constellation panicked, clutching his throbbing head.
Aeon stared at the kneeling man but refrained from launching a follow-up attack. Even though the enemy was seventy times stronger than him in raw power, his arsenal was packed with Infinite-rank abilities. If utilized correctly, victory was entirely possible.
"How does that feel? Quite painful, isn’t it? Next time, you maggot, be very careful before you decide to call me a lizard," Aeon sneered, his voice dripping with arrogant mockery.
Hearing the mortal’s insult, Vorthak’s rage reached a boiling point. He hastily retrieved a pristine pill from his spatial ring and swallowed it whole. Instantly, the eroding effect stopped, and his vital condition stabilized back to normal.
He then reached back into his spatial ring and drew out a massive red sword that pulsed with a sinister, malevolent glow.
Glaring at Aeon with murderous intent, he barked, "I don’t care what kind of cheap trick you just pulled, mortal. I am going to chop you into pieces!"
Vorthak then unleashed half of his Constellation aura, letting it explode across the pocket dimension.
WHOOOOSSSH! CRACKLING!
BOOOOOOOOM!
The ground trembled violently as the surrounding space began to fracture. Dark rifts ripped through the air, forcing reality to desperately stitch itself back together.
With half of his true power fully unleashed, Vorthak lunged at Aeon.
Whoooosh!
Before Aeon could completely register the movement, Vorthak’s crimson blade materialized directly in his field of vision.
Thanks to the immediate intervention of the Time and Space Spirits—who managed to warp the fabric of reality and artificially slow Vorthak’s momentum—combined with his Infinite Eyes of Omniscience, Aeon barely managed to raise his katana and parry the strike.
Yet, the sheer disparity in raw physical strength was overwhelming. Aeon was continuously driven backward, cornered and repeatedly injured by the shockwaves of Vorthak’s relentless assault.
But Aeon refused to stay passive. Relying on more than just his swordsmanship, he seamlessly blended high-level martial arts, dozens of Forbidden-tier magic spells, and his specialized soul abilities to aggressively counter-attack Vorthak.
Whooosh!
Boooooooom! Booooooom!
For the next thirty minutes, the two entities traded catastrophic blows. As the clash wore on, Vorthak’s frustration morphed into absolute fury.
He could not comprehend how a mere mortal was capable of using martial arts, magic, soul abilities, and an arsenal of bizarre, unclassifiable powers all at the same time.
’How can a single mortal handle this many distinct power systems?’ Vorthak thought, his mind racing as he shattered another one of Aeon’s incoming spells.
’And whatever ability he’s using to manipulate space and time to decelerate my movements is incredibly infuriating. I don’t believe he has mastered the Law of space and time at this age, but he is far too dangerous to be left alive. I must execute him here, no matter the cost.’
BLAAAM!
Vorthak anchored his feet, glaring across the ruined battlefield at Aeon with unbridled killing intent.
Inside his purple nano-suit, Aeon was in rough shape. Deep wounds marred his body, and blood leaked heavily from multiple lacerations. Despite the physical toll, he maintained a rigid defensive stance, keeping a cautious lock on Vorthak.
The pocket dimension’s terrain was completely obliterated. Titanic craters scarred the earth, and the landscape was deeply cross-hatched by hundreds of sword slashes.
As their eyes locked through the settling dust, Vorthak’s chaotic rage suddenly quieted into a chilling, focused calm. "I have shown you immense mercy by holding back half of my true strength," he said coldly. "But I will no longer play games with you, mortal."
The moment the words left his lips, Vorthak fully unsealed his restrictions.
Instantly, a cataclysmic, suffocating pressure descended upon the pocket dimension. The ground didn’t just shake but was disintegrated, splitting into massive chasms.
The fabric of local space began to crumble and fold in on itself, utterly incapable of containing a Constellation’s unbridled, unrestricted power.
’Damn it. This gate’s structure won’t be able to hold his full power,’ Aeon realized, sensing the immediate danger as he stared at Vorthak, who was now entirely enveloped in a roaring, pitch-black torrent of Ruin Energy.
’If this gate collapses entirely, I don’t know if I’ll be able to find my way back to Nexus Earth.’
Aeon let out a slow breath, his gaze hardening. ’I guess it’s finally time to use that. No more holding back. I’ve gathered enough real-world combat experience from this guy anyway.’
Aeon casually raised his left hand. With a perfectly calm, echoing voice, he snapped his fingers.
