Chapter 67: Chapter 67: The Clash Of Titans

Despite his enormous body, he was incredibly agile, appearing before Aeon in a split second while hoisting his fist. With devastating force, he threw a punch straight at Aeon’s calm face.

With a simple raise of his hand, Aeon caught the gigantic fist with his palm, stopping it completely.

Buuuum! Whoosh!

The sheer force of the impact sent a powerful shockwave through the air, creating violent gusts of wind that swept past Aeon on either side.

Varkun’s eyes narrowed upon seeing how effortlessly Aeon stopped the punch. Although dragons possess incredibly strong bodies, titans are generally superior in that aspect.

While his fist was still pressed against Aeon’s palm, Varkun grinned and spoke. "You are strong. I guess I have to get serious now."

He pulled his fist back, stepped a few paces away, and took his stance once more as thick orange energy enveloped his entire body. When he moved again, his footsteps were disciplined and bizarre, making it difficult to pinpoint his exact position.

[Fist Technique: Earth-Rending Fist]

Varkun reappeared in front of Aeon. This time, his fist was embedded with his martial cosmic energy, making the strike tens of times stronger than his previous attack. Carrying enough force to reduce an entire town to nothing, Varkun threw the punch at Aeon.

Whooosh!

The instant Varkun’s fist arrived mere inches from his face, Aeon fluidly dropped his stance. He bent his knees to lower his center of gravity while keeping his upper body perfectly straight.

With his left palm, he easily deflected Varkun’s attack to the side. Simultaneously, he struck Varkun’s abdomen with his open right palm, sending him flying.

Buuuuum! Whoosh!

The titan crashed violently into the arena wall, completely destroying the area of impact.

Boooom!

It all happened in a single second. Aeon moved with fluid grace, wasting absolutely no energy. To onlookers, it looked like Aeon had merely brushed the attack aside and gently tapped Varkun with his right palm.

But Varkun—who actually felt the devastating force behind that gentle touch—would beg to differ. For a long moment, he didn’t emerge from the crater he had made.

The other students only cast a brief glance at the commotion before refocusing on their own fights.

Boooom!

From the deep indentation in the arena wall, Varkun reappeared, shattering the stone debris blocking his path. His face was now a picture of total concentration. If he had been slightly serious before, he was now going one hundred percent all out.

Another dense layer of energy enveloped his fists. He then took his stance once more and lunged forward.

From the sidelines, Tharos watched Varkun’s movements and grinned. "Oho, he’s using Fist Intent. That kid must be exceptionally strong to force Varkun to use Intent. This is a good show. Huhuhu." He chuckled, keeping his eyes glued to the battle.

[Lightning Fist Technique: World-Shattering Lightning Fist]

Varkun’s entire body crackled with lightning as he moved, executing erratic steps before suddenly appearing right in front of Aeon, aiming a strike directly at his abdomen.

Whoosh!

Aeon redirected Varkun’s fist yet again and countered with a devastating punch aimed at Varkun’s face. Still alert, Varkun dropped his stance and managed to duck under Aeon’s attack.

Seeing an opening, Varkun thrust his fist toward Aeon’s abdomen once more, his Fist Intent radiating with destructive power.

When the strike was just inches from his body, Aeon intercepted it with his left palm, fluidly redirecting Varkun’s fist downward. The momentum drove Varkun’s fist straight into the arena floor.

Whoosh! Boooooom!

Without giving him any time to recover, Aeon whipped his right leg upward, kicking Varkun square in the neck with pinpoint precision.

Once again, Varkun flew across the arena and crashed into another wall, nearly taking out several students who were fighting along his trajectory.

Whoosh! Booooom!

When the dust finally cleared, Varkun didn’t stand up. He lay unconscious on the ground. Aeon had deliberately targeted a specific pressure point with his kick to knock him out instantly.

’Oops, I guess I went a bit too far. I should have drawn it out for a couple of minutes instead of finishing it so quickly. My bad, bro,’ Aeon thought, offering a joking apology in his mind.

After centuries of fighting shadow dummies back in his Omniverse Dimension, he had adapted to ending fights as efficiently as possible, never giving his opponents a single chance to recover.

Sometimes, he would lower his combat power drastically just to force himself to use every trick in the book against thousands of shadow dummies stronger than him.

’I’ll fight him properly some other time. But damn, he really has some good stats on him,’ Aeon muttered inwardly as he pulled up Varkun’s Status Window.

[Name: Leonard Arclight]

[Race: Titan]

[Title: —]

[Path: Warrior]

[Cultivation Rank: D+]

[Talent Rank: Divine]

[Special Talent: Divine Destruction Sovereignty] (Divine)

[Physique: Heaven-Crushing Titan Physique] (Divine)

[Bloodline: Ancient Thunder Titan Bloodline](Ex)

[Affinities: Destruction (Divine), Thunder (Ex), Earth (Ex)]

Aeon was especially fond of the Destruction affinity. As the spirits had told him, it was easily one of the strongest affinities in existence.

He still had one bonding slot left, but he had already decided to use it on Evelyn. He had looked through the other students during history class earlier today, but Evelyn possessed exactly what he needed.

’If I acquire Evelyn’s Emotion and Soul affinities, my soul power and mastery will improve tremendously. Combined with the [Eternal Dream Soul Physique] I got from the quest reward, and Evelyn’s physique, I’ll become unstoppable,’ Aeon thought, barely able to contain his excitement.

[A/N: Dream Sovereign Soul Physique (Ex)—> Eternal Dream Soul Physique (Infinite)]

’Having a Soul affinity, especially at the Infinite rank, means I’ll have a much deeper connection to the soul path, allowing me to reach unprecedented heights in my future cultivation.’

Dismissing the status window, Aeon looked around the arena to watch the other students clash. Leonhardt was locked in combat with a male angel, their swords constantly clashing in a flurry of sparks.

Lunaria was fighting a beast-kin girl with wolf ears and a tail, who moved with swift agility, slashing at Lunaria with her claws like a beast.

But the most intriguing matchup was the fight between Sophia and Seraphina.

’Sophia really despises this girl,’ Aeon commented mentally, observing how fiercely Sophia was driving her attacks.

Sophia swung her sword with lethal intent, aiming for vital points with every strike, while Seraphina simply parried or dodged with a light smile.

This only fueled Sophia’s rage—and once a female red dragon gets furious, they become a terrifying force to be reckoned with.

Boooom!

Sophia unleashed a heavy strike, her sword energy obliterating a section of the arena wall. Seraphina slipped away just in time, leaving a long, deep gash in the ground where she had been standing.

Whooosh!

Seraphina countered by teleporting from her position and reappearing directly behind Sophia, thrusting her sword forward.

Relying purely on her sharp senses and battle instincts, Sophia have been managing to defend herself against Seraphina, who used teleportation to strike from her blind spots.

This time too, Sophia pivoted instantly, turning around to lock her blade against Seraphina’s incoming strike.

As their blades ground against each other, both girls pushing forward to gain dominance, Seraphina reached out to Sophia using a Sound Transmission technique.

"Hey, sis. Calm down. I know you love Aeon, but I love him too. So there’s no need to be so angry with your own sister," Seraphina transmitted, locking eyes with her.

Hearing Seraphina casually declare her love for Aeon only made Sophia angrier. She flooded her blade with more Martial Cosmic energy, pushing back harder against Seraphina’s sword.

Using Sound Transmission herself, she spat back furiously, "Aeon is mine, do you understand? I will kill anyone who tries to take what belongs to me."

Instead of taking offense, Seraphina simply smiled. "Oh, how obsessive. Aeon always did like that about you. But you don’t truly understand him, Sophia. He is the type of man who wants to have many women, yet he loves them all unconditionally and equally, as if he has multiple hearts. That is exactly why I’m perfectly fine with him having multiple partners."

Sophia’s brow furrowed deeply.

Seraphina pressed on, throwing a final question that cut deep. "He will never belong to you alone. Now that you know that, what are you going to do?"

As if struck by a bolt of lightning, all the boiling rage inside Sophia vanished in an instant.

Seeing her guard lowered, Seraphina teleported again and reappeared behind Sophia. Using the hilt of her sword, she struck at Sophia’s neck before leaving one last message.

"Think through what you will do."

Bam!

Seraphina struck her neck, causing Sophia to lose consciousness. Before she could fall, Seraphina caught her and gently laid her down on the ground.

Aeon had heard their entire conversation and just shook his head. It couldn’t be helped. His sense of hearing was so refined that, if he wanted to, he could easily hear anything from millions of light-years away.

As for the situation between Sophia and Seraphina, it was not something he needed to intervene in. At this moment, their relationship was a mix of friendship and mere acquaintance.

Although he loved Sophia, he couldn’t say the same for Seraphina. Just because she was beautiful and tied to his future didn’t mean he liked her, let alone loved her.

Even for him, these feelings of liking two people at the same time were entirely new, and he wanted time to understand them. Loving many partners unconditionally and equally, and having a Harem is entirely two different feelings and concepts.

Shaking the persistent thoughts from his head, Aeon went back to enjoying the fight while the medical team took both Sophia and Varkun to the medical department.
