Chapter 44: Chapter 44: The End of the Long Isolation

#N/A: Finally are done with the training Arc. This Chapter will be the last of the FIRST training Arc. From here on will be The ACADEMY Arc. Thanks for patience.

BUUUUUM! BOOOOOOM!

Across the deep, unyielding vacuum of a vast cosmic space sparkling with distant, burning stars, a dark silhouette flew through the void hundreds of times faster than the speed of light.

With a devastating, crash, the hurtling figure slammed squarely into a massive blue burning star, causing the entire celestial body to instantly explode into a brilliant, blinding supernova.

Aeon stood perfectly anchored in the empty void, his cosmic eyes scanning the territory around his position.

Circling him from every angle were hundreds of shadow dummies, each manually tuned to carry the exact same unsealed combat power as Aeon himself, with the exception of ten elite shadow dummies standing directly behind the front-line army, who had been perfectly modified to be 10x stronger than Aeon’s current strength.

Aeon was going completely all out this time, deliberately refusing to his raw power. He wanted to force his mind to face true hardship, to struggle fiercely under extreme pressure, and to look straight into the jaws of a desperate conflict.

He knew with absolute certainty that as he ascended the wider universe, there would inevitably come a day when he would face a sovereign entity vastly stronger than himself.

He had zero intention of freezing out of pure fear when that fateful day arrived. He wanted to ensure his mind could instantly compute a tactical solution to fight, survive, and slaughter any enemy.

That was the sole reason he was aggressively fighting hundreds of shadow dummies sharing his exact level of power, alongside ten shadow dummies that operated at a baseline ten times more destructive than his own.

Locking his cosmic eyes onto the massive crowd of approaching shadow dummies, Aeon voiced out a command words as he activated one of his most advanced spatial abilities.

"[Domain Expansion: Infinite Abyss]"

Boooooom!

In a drastic, violent explosion of conceptual power, a colossal dome of dark-purple energy rapidly erupted from his foot, completely enveloping all several hundred shadow dummies within a fraction of a millisecond to lock them inside a massive, vacuum-sealed barrier.

Instantly, the entire shadow dummies found themselves trapped within a vast, near-endless expanse that held absolutely no sky or ground. Consisting entirely of a suffocating, absolute darkness.

The only illumination filtering through the void came from tiny, highly condensed violet and silver stars floating impossibly far away across the background space, giving the profound, haunting impression that entire dead galaxies had been buried deep within the dark architecture of the domain.

The very fabric of the localized space morphed, fractured, and violently changed its geometric shape with every passing second, rendering the internal environment of the domain exceptionally chaotic, volatile, and unstable.

Caught within the spatial flux, the hundreds of shadow dummies found their energy drastically weakened, their balance and combat coordination completely thrown off because the spatial coordinate they were standing on was constantly breaking apart beneath their feet.

Aeon’s lips slowly curled into a wide, highly amused smile as he surveyed the layout of his domain. "Damn. I have always wanted to say those words aloud," Aeon chuckled to himself, his voice echoing smoothly off the boundless space. "Gojo would be incredibly proud of me right now. Hahah."

Instantly, without a single second of a delay, Aeon raised his hand and executed a sharp flick of his fingers.

The first fifty front-line dummies were instantaneously sliced into microscopic pieces by the sheer pressure of the collapsing space itself.

VMMMM—SHRAAAK!

Their severed, transparent limbs scattered across the void for a brief moment before their forms turning entirely into harmless dust particles.

Seeing their frontline wiped out in a single turn, the remaining shadow dummies displayed an intense weariness.

Some rapidly chanted advanced spell matrices to manifest protective shields around their coordinates, others aggressively enveloped their limbs with thick layers of Martial Cosmic Energy, while the rest channeled their Spiritual energy to protect themselves.

But their desperate defensive adjustments hardly did anything to stall his momentum. Reaching his hand across space, Aeon siphoned his katana, [Void Cleaver], straight out of his inventory.

The weapon was a magnificent, violet-black katana forged with a vibrant, crimson-pink glowing edge that constantly radiated a faint energy and a steady trail of starlike sparks.

This blade was one of the annual sign-in rewards he had successfully got from his system before he had initially stepped inside this Omniverse Dimension centuries ago.

Gripping the hilt with an ironclad hold, Aeon wielded the sword with a blistering speed thousands of times faster than the speed of light, transforming into a streak of multi-colored cosmic energy as he traveled seamlessly through the enemy’s lines.

The exact millisecond he materialized back into a solid form three kilometers behind his targets, the heads of thirty separate shadow dummies cleanly fell away from their shoulders, their severed constructs instantly vanishing from the domain.

WHOOSH! SHIIING!

Shifting his stance, Aeon found himself standing directly face to face with the ten strongest shadow dummies.

He had been locked in a brutal, non-stop war against these specific ten shadow dummies powerhouses for days on end, a grueling process that forced his mind to continuously engineer completely new combat tactics, evasion routes, and counter-strikes mid-motion to survive.

There were hundreds of individual instances during the prolonged clash where his life had drifted exceptionally close to death—not that he could ever die in here.

But within this simulation, he had looked straight into the cold reality of death again and again.

Even now, trapped deep within the structural disadvantage of his own domain, the ten weakened shadow dummies still operated at a threshold exactly five times stronger than his unsealed state.

---------

WHOOOSH!

The colossal, dark-purple energy barrier slowly dissolved into fine mist, returning the area of how it was.

Aeon dropped heavily onto his knees over the floating void, his chest heaving violently as he breathed hard, his skin covered in a cold sweat.

The black training clothes he wore were completely shredded and cut in dozens of different sections, with several areas heavily scorched, exposing his bleeding and charred skin beneath the fabric.

He had barely managed to secure a definitive victory against the final squad of shadow dummies, having been forced to completely exhaust every single technique, special ability, and tactical maneuver hidden inside his massive arsenal just to anchor his survival.

Except for the Primordial energies within his Arcane Path due to his ability [Infinite Energy Core] from his [Infinite Arcane Dao Physique] other cores were entirely emptied of energy.

For continuous decades of internal time, he had deliberately chosen to train himself in this brutal, uncompromising manner.

Forcing himself to battle hundreds of shadow dummies—some matching his tier, others operating vastly past his limits was the perfect method he designed to continuously improve himself, ensuring his ego would never succumb to arrogance or become satisfied with the staggering level of power he currently held.

With a quiet thought, Aeon vanished from the vast cosmic plane, teleporting seamlessly back to land over the calm, glowing waves of his golden ocean world.

He dropped straight into a cross-legged meditative posture on top of the liquid plane, and aggressively draw the rich ambient energy inward to fully replenish his cores.

For five consecutive hours of internal time, he remained sitting in motionless silence, doing nothing but channeling the enegies stabilize his body.

Under the immense vitality of the Ocean of Eternal Genesis, his severe physical lacerations, structural burns, and ruptured pathways healed completely instantly, restoring his skin to a smooth, unblemished slate.

When he finally snapped his eyes wide open, Aeon rose smoothly to his full height. With a casual snap of his fingers, his ruined, blood-matted garments transformed, replaced instantly by a pristine, clean black training uniform.

He had changed massively over the course of the past 1,826 internal years of deep isolation. His physical frame had grown noticeably taller, standing at an exact height of 190 centimeters.

His physical muscles had filled out cleanly, becoming significantly more compact and dense, while the broad, sweeping framework of his shoulders granted him a vastly stronger, far more imposing and majestic appearance.

Aeon looked downward, examining his clear reflection within the golden liquid water below.

What slightly bothered him wasn’t the natural physical growth of his stature, but the major changes in his appearance altered his features.

The color of his draconic horns, his eyes, his tail, the tips of his long white hair, and even his fingernails had completely changed.

Every single one of those traits now held a deep, shifting cosmic coloration, intricately mixed with a visible field of swirling stars and nebulas.

"Well... if anyone asks, I will simply explain that I fell into a deep state of unconsciousness the exact second my core initiated its breakthrough into the D-rank, and I have absolutely no idea what happened to my body during that time. And when i woke up i found shells around me," Aeon murmured, mapping out his cover story.

Before stepping back NexusEarth, Aeon made a decision to seal his currentcombat strength, making him display as that of a slightly above average D-rank cultivator.

The fragile spatial fabric of Nexos Earth or any other standard mortal plane across the Mortal realm could not handle the raw, star-shattering gravity of his unsealed power.

If he walked into the outside world unsealed, his sheer presence would cause the localized dimensions to fracture and collapse.

Furthermore, even if the structural laws of the outside world were somehow fully capable of handling his mass, he had zero desire to show the wider public what he was truly capable of executing.

This mortal realm was constantly being monitored by the cold, calculating eyes of distant Constellations an gods.

Though their direct observation capability was heavily limited and throttled by universal barriers, they still maintained a steady network of eyes across the continents.

If he ever foolishly displayed his multi-path mastery in public—showing off his multi-elemental Arcane path or his Spiritual Path telekinesis simultaneously, he would instantly be targeted as a universal anomaly and hunted down by high-tier factions.

Luckily, under the current laws of reality, those cosmic deities were completely barred from descending directly into the Mortal Realm unless they chose to have their power forcefully deducted and capped down to a mortal baseline.

But who could ever guarantee that there weren’t a few monstrous, ancient entities capable of completely defying those universal restrictions to descend upon this world with their full, unmitigated cosmic power intact?

Aeon wasn’t choosing to act out of cowardice, he was simply practicing caution. Aeon extended his arms outward, stretching his limbs slightly to loosen up his stiff muscles.

"It is time to head back home. It has officially been a single day since the five-year deadline arrived in the outside world. Well, at least for me, it has only been a year."

Under the extreme time-dilation mechanism of his omniverse dimension, he was scheduled to remain inside for exactly 1,825 internal years to match the outside world’s timeline, but he had intentionally stayed behind for one additional year to perfectly orient his mind, audit his custom techniques, and balance his cores.

With a single sharp thought, Aeon activated his sealing technique, sealing his active power cleanly at the D-rank boundary.

A series of thick, dark energy chains and glowing purple restriction runes erupted across his physical skin, flaring with a brilliant light for a brief moment before they receded smoothly back beneath his pores, completely masking his presence.

"All done. Time to go back," Aeon murmured, a sudden wave of deep nostalgia washing over him as his thoughts drifted to his family.

"I genuinely miss my parents, my mother, and everyone else."

Remaining locked inside the solitude of this domain for 1,826 consecutive years was an exceptionally long period for a mind that had spent its first life believing that existence naturally terminates at the 100-year mark.

Fortunately, backed by his Infinite Adaptation and tue effect of tis dimension, his mind hadn’t succumbed to madness, nor had his mental age degraded into that of a cynical, exhausted old man.

He still firmly retained his mature, adult mindset, paired beautifully with his intense, youthful love for magical things and cosmic progression.

With a simple thought, a swirling dimensional portal fractured the air directly in front of him. Aeon didn’t hesitate for a single second, stepping forward to march straight through the threshold.

The exact millisecond his boots cleared the gap, the portal smoothly dissolved into particles of light, vanishing completely from the golden ocean plane.
