Aeon screamed aloud, his voice fracturing as his physical body began to break apart entirely. The glowing cracks across his skin widened rapidly, and actual pieces of his physical frame broke off and cascaded downward into the liquid plane below like shards of shattered glass.

Aeon pushed his ironclad will to its absolute limit, fighting with everything he possessed to hold onto his focus and never close his eyes. He mentally commanded the surrounding golden water to rise up, completely enveloping his fracturing frame in a dense liquid cocoon.

But while the Origin life essence managed to anchor his life force, it did very little to lessen the blinding, catastrophic pain.

For one agonizing internal minute, Aeon endured the absolute torment, until his threshold was finally pushed past its absolute breaking point.

The gold and purple light within his eyes began to dim rapidly as darkness crept over his vision, his consciousness on the verge of slipping away entirely.

But right before his awareness could collapse into the dark, the crisp mechanical chime of a system notification resonated deeply within his fading mind. A latent, terrifying power that had remained entirely dormant within him had finally triggered its absolute effects.

Deprived of his conscious will, the gold water forming the protective cocoon lost its shape, falling harmlessly back into the sea.

Then, an absolute spectacle unfolded across the tranquil waters.

Countless blinding particles of cosmic light began to converge over the Golden Ocean, drawing energy from every where across the sea, the cosmos that tightly compressed into a radiant, spinning sphere of pure life essence.

Slowly, the glowing matrix shifted, morphing its internal architecture into a pulsing cosmic embryo. Within minutes, the embryo evolved further, hardening its outer layers into a thick, heavily armored, cosmic-colored Dragon Egg.

The colossal egg calmly settled against the surface of the golden ocean, utilizing the sea of eternal genesis as its absolute nutrient source and cradle as different colorful particles of light entering the egg.

Deep within the shell, the hidden embryo grew and refined at an unimaginable velocity, opening a brand-new path for Aeon’s destiny.

This will be the sacred nest where a true version of him would finally be born.

One month passed.

Within the boundless expanse of the Ocean of Eternal Genesis, a three meter tall cosmic dragon egg lay cradled against the shifting waves.

Once in a while, a swirling spectrum of different colored energies would flow into the shell and slowly exhale back out, pulsing in a perfect rhythm, as if whatever being rested inside was quietly breathing.

Suddenly, without warning, the massive egg started to shake violently. Deep cracks immediately tore across its surface, and blinding rays of multi-colored light erupted from the fractured places.

Without a massive explosion or a destructive boom, the egg began to break down piece by piece. The shattered shards of the shell fell onto the water, floating flawlessly on top of the liquid plane without sinking a single millimeter, as if the golden ocean were a solid glass floor.

The light radiating from the core of the egg intensified more and more, burning with a brilliant, ancient power.

Finally, the remaining framework of the shell broke down completely. The multi-colored light intensified to an absolute peak, violently shooting a massive column of energy straight into the sky a roaring pillar of cosmic power so immense it could be clearly seen penetrating into the other planes and distant stars of the dimension.

As the pillar of light gradually dimmed, a sharp, powerful silhouette materialized within the fading radiance.

Aeon slowly stepped out from the remnants of the broken egg, his entire body softly radiating with colorful, shifting lights. He was noticeably taller, broader, and more imposing than before. His pristine fair skin was packed with extra muscle mass, looking completely streamlined without appearing bulky or grotesque, forming a perfect physical shape.

Elegant black runic tattoos remained beautifully scattered across specific parts of his frame. His white hair had elongated significantly, cascading smoothly down his back until it reached his waist. The signature icy-blue hair tips from his youth were entirely gone, replaced by a deep, pulsing cosmic-colored tip that looked like a living nebula.

His eyes had underwent a drastic transformation. The original gold and purple draconic irises were entirely gone, replaced by a cosmic, nebula like spectrum that held the depth of an entire universe.

His sharp dragon horns looked as if they were forged from a piece of the living cosmic sky itself, swirling with stars. Aeon stared intently at his reflection in the shimmering golden water, checking his new features thoroughly from head to toe. The ten year old child had completely vanished from reality. Standing in his place was a towering, 185 cm tall new version of himself.

"Damn. I look like a living cosmic god," Aeon muttered, his voice dropping into a deep, resonant rumble. "Except for my skin and the white part of my hair, almost every other part of my body has been completely remolded with cosmic colors."

He then looked down between his legs, and a devilish, highly satisfied grin spread across his face. "Nice to meet you, little one."

With a simple, focused thought, a fresh set of lightweight training clothes materialized over his body, perfectly adjusting to his new height.

"Alright, then. Let’s get straight to the main dish," Aeon declared, his cosmic eyes flashing with excitement. "I can clearly feel a catastrophic power change shifting inside me. I wonder what exactly changed while I was unconsciousness. I distinctly remember the system saying Evolution progress beginning."

"Let’s figure out then, status window", Aeon said as the blue window appeared before him.
