Chapter 109: I’ll take the Supreme Private Rooms, One for each of us
The disciple who had sneered earlier was the first to recover. His face was still pale as he hurriedly stepped forward.
"Senior Brother Y-Yu Liang, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean anything by it. I just... there had been some arrogant handyman disciples who acted as though they don’t fear anyone and look down on the outer disciples. Because of them, the relationship between the two groups has become rather... complicated."
His voice became increasingly awkward as he spoke, clearly embarrassed by his earlier attitude.
In the cultivation world, seniority was ultimately determined by strength. Age and how long someone had been in the sect mattered far less than the realm they had reached. A stronger cultivator naturally stood above a weaker one, regardless of their previous status. Although Yu Liang had once been a handyman disciple, his current strength had already far surpassed theirs. After sensing his aura just now, the disciple naturally addressed him as Senior Brother Yu. It wasn’t merely a polite title, it was the proper way to address someone stronger than oneself.
Ling Tao quickly nodded in agreement. "He’s telling the truth. There have been a few incidents. Some handyman disciples had indeed acted rather arrogantly and it has caused quite a bit of friction between handy man disciples and the outer disciples."
Yu Liang didn’t respond immediately. He simply looked at the disciple for a moment before turning his gaze toward the transportation area.
Seeing this, the disciple became even more nervous.
"S-Senior Brother Yu, I’m really sorry. I shouldn’t have judged you just because you were once a handyman disciple."
His apology this time was much more sincere.
Yu Liang glanced at him before giving a small nod. "It’s fine. Forget about it."
The disciple immediately let out a breath of relief.
Ling Tao, seeing that the awkward atmosphere had finally eased, pointed toward one of the flying ships.
"Why don’t we take that one? It’s leaving soon, and it’s heading in the same direction as Blackstone Mountain. You can travel with us."
Yu Liang followed his gaze.
The ship wasn’t particularly large, but it was well maintained. Its hull was made from dark-blue spirit wood reinforced with thin strips of silver metal, while several small formation plates were embedded along its sides. A pale blue protective barrier surrounded the vessel, giving its surface a faint glow. It wasn’t one of the luxurious flying ships used by wealthy disciples, but it was sturdy, fast enough for ordinary missions, and most importantly, it was leaving soon.
Yu Liang nodded.
"Alright. Let’s take that one."
The group soon boarded the flying ship together, and shortly afterward, the vessel slowly rose from the transportation platform before accelerating toward the distant horizon.
After standing there awkwardly for a while, the disciple who had sneered earlier finally gathered enough courage to speak again.
"My name is Zhao Ming," he said, rubbing the back of his neck. "And these are Chen Rui, Gao Feng, and Wang Teng. Senior Brother Yu, to make up for what happened earlier... I can book a private room for you on the ship."
The others immediately looked at him in shock.
"A private room?"
Zhao Ming’s expression stiffened, but he nodded firmly.
Everyone knew how expensive the private rooms on the sect’s transportation ships were. For an ordinary outer disciple, booking one would eat up a huge portion of their savings. They clearly hadn’t expected Zhao Ming to offer something like that.
Yu Liang looked at him quietly.
Judging by Zhao Ming’s expression, the apology was at least sincere, even if his sudden change in attitude was partly because of the strength he had displayed but Yu Liang didn’t really care about that. People naturally treated those stronger than themselves with more respect in the cultivation world.
Before he could respond, a ship attendant approached them with a polite smile as if he was waiting for this moment.
"Several rooms are still available. If you haven’t made a reservation beforehand, you may also book one after boarding. May I ask what type of accommodation you require?"
The attendant quickly explained the available options.
"Standard rooms cost fifty Low Grade Spiritual Stones per person. Superior rooms cost two hundred Low Grade Spiritual Stones. Private rooms cost one thousand Low Grade Spiritual Stones, while the Supreme Private Rooms cost five thousand Low Grade Spiritual Stones."
Yu Liang had actually intended to book a room before boarding, but after unexpectedly running into Ling Tao and the others, he had simply forgotten about it.
Zhao Ming immediately stepped forward.
"Then I’ll book a private room for Senior Brother Yu."
Before he could take out his spiritual stones, however, Yu Liang casually raised his hand.
"Wait."
Everyone looked at him.
Yu Liang turned toward the attendant. "I’ll take the Supreme Private Rooms."
The attendant’s smile widened.
"How many would you like?"
"One for each of us."
The group froze.
Even Zhao Ming stared at him in disbelief.
Yu Liang casually took out the required spiritual stones and paid the full amount.
[ Ding! Host has spent 30,000 low grade spiritual stones ]
[ Multiplier Triggered: 500x ]
[ Host Receives 15,000,000 low grade spiritual stones ]
"It’s already paid for. You guys enjoy yourselves." He said it with a simple smile, as though he hadn’t just spent a considerable amount of spiritual stones on them.
"Senior Brother Yu, this—"
"Don’t worry about it."
Yu Liang waved his hand before turning toward the attendant.
"Take me to my room."
The attendant immediately bowed.
"Of course."
As Yu Liang followed the attendant toward the upper section of the ship, Zhao Ming and the others remained standing there in silence, exchanging bewildered glances.
They had originally intended to spend a little of their own money to make amends.
They hadn’t expected Yu Liang to simply pay for everything himself.
For several moments, the group simply stood there, staring in the direction Yu Liang had disappeared.
Finally, Chen Rui couldn’t hold back any longer.
"Ling Tao... didn’t you say Senior Brother Yu used to be a handyman disciple?"
"Yeah," Gao Feng immediately added, still looking bewildered. "What kind of handyman disciple has this.. this kind of fortune?"
Ling Tao opened his mouth, but no words came out.
He was just as shocked as they were.
When he had last traveled with Yu Liang, the latter really had been a handyman disciple. At that time, Ling Tao had never imagined that they would meet again and find Yu Liang casually paying for Supreme Private Rooms for everyone.
"I... I don’t know," Ling Tao finally admitted.
Zhao Ming lowered his head, his face filled with regret.
"Senior Brother Yu was such a nice guy..."
He paused, remembering how he had sneered at Yu Liang earlier.
"But I..."
He sighed heavily and shook his head.
"What was I thinking?"
Before anyone could say anything else, the attendant returned with a polite smile.
"Everyone, your rooms have been prepared. Please follow me."
The group exchanged glances before silently following the attendant toward their rooms, each of them still trying to process what had just happened.
