The spring wind slipped by in secret; the whole night passed without words.

The next day, a blazing crimson sun slowly rose from the rippling water of the lotus pond. As if it had been washed clean, more like a water spirit dyed in brocade, it ascended toward the azure sky, stitching heaven and earth back together.

The sunlight was like lotus buds about to bloom yet not blooming, first turning purplish red, then ocher red, and soon gradually paling, bursting forth a thick white radiance tinged with clouds and mist.

Yin and Yang alternate, sunrise and sunset; the essence of nature is precisely such a tapestry of rules.

Isn’t the essence of life the same—man and woman, Yin and Yang—this is the law of natural harmony.

Sunlight shone through the window that had been shaken crooked, pouring into the room, falling upon Jiang Dali’s tall, burly figure standing before the window. It plated his layered, blocky body—like marble carved into a warrior—with a gentle glow, dazzling to behold.

The bed in the room had already collapsed, and several floor tiles had split apart.

Behind the gauzy canopy inside, Wang Yuyan and the other women were all hiding; the beauties on the bed bashfully watched the man by the window, like a mountain unshakable in a storm. Even now their hearts were still filled with long-lasting, burning ardor.

Whether it was Gusu’s famed Martial Arts master Wang Yuyan, or Qin Mo Murong Qingqing whose icy presence cowed the whole Martial World, or the world-renowned beauty Wan Wan—each of them was like a surging wave, hurling herself against the reef that was Jiang Dali, heedless of the rising and falling tides, unafraid to be dashed to pieces.

Wan Wan openly bared her alluring body and asked in a lazy yet magnetic voice, "village chief, once you leave this time, who knows when you’ll return? Where are we sisters supposed to go from here?"

Jiang Dali had long anticipated this question. He turned, gazing into the eyes of the three women, feeling the heat of their emotions, and said thoughtfully, "Clouds shift, dogs turn into dragons; human affairs are hard to defy. There are matters in this world more important that still await me. In your lives, it’s impossible that everything revolves around me alone."

The three women’s delicate bodies all trembled; they were just about to protest, when they suddenly grasped the meaning hidden in Jiang Dali’s words. They looked at each other in dismay, then their gazes all converged on Wan Wan’s abdomen. Shamefaced, they also felt an unspoken surge of envy.

Jiang Dali shook his head slightly, letting the three utterly exhausted women continue lazing in bed. He dressed himself, strapped on the Iron Nail Bracelet, closed the crooked doors and windows, then turned and left.

"Wooo——"

Outside the door, the Demon Dragon’s massive body was sprawled across the courtyard, nearly filling the entire yard. Even from far away, the oppressive aura it exuded was enough to make one’s heart pound.

This ferocious beast, which even the Chief of the Beast Taming House coveted with drooling envy, watched Jiang Dali’s figure emerge and let out a hissing, mournful cry. Its dragon head drooped, looking utterly dejected and listless.

Jiang Dali laughed heartily and strode over, reaching out to rub the Demon Dragon’s lowered, rough-scaled head, saying with a grin, "Old clerk, it’s not that Laozi doesn’t want you anymore, it’s that the places I’m heading to now are too dangerous. It’s not fitting for you to follow. Help me take good care of those three, yeah?"

The Demon Dragon’s ghastly green double pupils flickered as it emitted a low, gentle howl, like sobbing and sighing. Then it stretched out its long, forked blood-red tongue and licked Jiang Dali’s palm; its venom corroded the fine hairs on his hand until they sizzled and smoked.

"This way of showing affection of yours could really give that Fire Dog a run for its money—but you’re only allowed to use it on Laozi. Don’t go licking others at random."

Jiang Dali shook his head, then roused his War God Power. From his tail pillow acupoint Yan Shen surged forth the Illusion Soul Golden Wings; a fierce wind billowed. He laughed, and the instant his legs drove with force, his whole person shot skyward, tearing through the air and soaring into the high heavens.

The Demon Dragon let out a long, undulating roar, as if in farewell; the sound was incomparably pleasant to the ear.

Jiang Dali cast a glance down below, then his Qi Mechanism locked onto the Fire Qilin’s aura, which at that moment lay in a remote area outside the city. His Double Wings flickered once, and he swiftly tore through the sky toward the location of the Fire Qilin.

...

A short while later.

In a large open space where the air had grown distorted under the scorching heat, Jiang Dali’s figure dropped down from the sky.

"Roar!"

The Fire Qilin, like a ball of scarlet fire, instantly roused from its lazy State, opening its lantern-like red eyes to look at Jiang Dali. It bounded forward, its four limbs thudding ’thump, thump’ against the ground as if it were frolicking.

"Haha, just a few days cooped up and you already couldn’t take it?"

Jiang Dali approached with a smile, his whole body covered in a layer of golden Qi Force to shield his clothes, and threw his arms around the Fire Qilin for a good bout of affection.

Several hundred Zhang away, a dozen pairs of eyes were all watching nervously, anxiously, yet with worshipful awe, staring at the burly man hugging the Fire Qilin. Every face was flushed with excitement and fanaticism.

"Master, that’s the Black... Marquis Wei Wu? He really lives up to the name—so mighty! He actually dares to hug a Fire Qilin directly, and not even his clothes or a strand of hair is scorched."

"That Fire Qilin is Marquis Wei Wu’s mount. This great figure often rides it all over the land; how could he possibly be burned by its flames? His strength is truly unfathomable."

"A few days ago Marquis Wei Wu’s other mount, the Demon Dragon, also came. It’s in the Imperial Palace right now, and that Demon Dragon is terrifyingly powerful as well. Marquis Wei Wu really deserves to be called a Beast Taming Master Level character. Ferocious beasts like the Demon Dragon and Fire Qilin—we don’t have anything like them in our Beast Taming House. Sigh."

"Our Beast Taming House only has one Chi Long with Ying Long bloodline, and one Luanniao with Fire Phoenix Blood. Their strength is at the Heavenly Person Level, but they’re only about on par with that Fake Phoenix Marquis Wei Wu keeps."

A dozen core Disciples of the Beast Taming House murmured among themselves. Chief Chen Xin of the Beast Taming House, feeling complicated, watched Jiang Dali, who had already noticed them. He immediately plastered on a smile, carefully approached, ready to pay his respects.
