Incubus Lord: Lust Harem System
Chapter 370: The Shadow of the Void
Chapter 370: Chapter 370: The Shadow of the Void
Kai’s charge tore across the arena floor like a natural disaster given form.
His six arms swung in alternating arcs, each claw trailing ribbons of necrotic fire that left scorched afterimages in the air.
His demonic body moved with terrifying speed, far beyond what his original cultivation should have allowed, propelled by the forbidden power he had consumed.
The crowd screamed.
On the arena floor, Damon stood exactly where he had been.
His wooden sword rested on his shoulder.
His golden eyes tracked Kai’s approach with the calm of a predator who had already seen the outcome.
The distance closed.
Kai’s first arm came down, a claw wreathed in black fire aimed at Damon’s skull.
Damon didn’t move.
The claw stopped three inches from his face, halted by an invisible wall of pressure.
Kai’s eyes widened.
His second arm swung from the side, a horizontal strike aimed at Damon’s ribs.
Again, it stopped.
Damon’s smile widened.
"You’re fast," he said, his voice carrying clearly across the now-silent arena.
"But speed means nothing when you’re fighting someone who exists outside your reality."
He raised his wooden sword.
But this time, something was different.
The blade began to glow.
A darkness deeper than shadow began to pool around the wooden surface, a void that seemed to drink the very color from the air around it.
The sword’s edge began to shimmer, the air itself warping and distorting where the darkness touched it.
The Chaos Devourer’s power.
Damon had been holding back.
He had been using a wooden sword, fighting with basic techniques, never once drawing on the true power of the ancient artifact that now resided within his soul.
But now, facing Kai’s demonic transformation, facing the culmination of the Reventon family’s corruption, facing the moment where the Eclipse Cult’s champion stood before him...
He decided it was time to show them what real power looked like.
He closed his eyes.
For a single heartbeat, the world went silent.
In that frozen moment, Damon reached deep into his core, into the place where the Chaos Devourer’s power resided.
The energy that answered was not spiritual.
It was the energy of the Pre-Creation Era, the power that existed before the laws of cultivation, before the rules of combat, before the very fabric of reality was woven.
It was the power of Chaos.
The wooden sword in Damon’s hand began to change.
The wood cracked and splintered, not from damage, but from transformation.
The blade itself began to dissolve, reforming into something new.
It became a line of pure nothingness.
The arena’s temperature dropped.
Kai’s demonic form froze mid-charge, his six arms still raised, his claws still extended, his necrotic fire still burning.
Even Kai’s corrupted power, even the forbidden arts of the Eclipse Cult, even the demonic grafts that had been fused to his body...
They all recognized what they were facing.
They all understood, on some primal level, that they were looking at something that did not belong in this world.
Damon’s golden eyes opened.
Deep within his irises, patterns of silver and black swirled, the mark of the Chaos Devourer’s power bleeding through his Incubus Celestial Eyes.
He looked at Kai.
And he spoke.
"Chaos Slash."
A line of nothingness appeared between Damon and Kai, stretching from the tip of Damon’s blade to the space directly in front of Kai’s chest.
A vertical rift, blacker than any shadow, wider than any blade, deeper than any void, ripped across the arena floor.
The rift devoured everything in its path.
Kai’s demonic form was caught in the edge of the rift.
His necrotic fire was consumed.
His bone armor was erased.
His flesh was torn by the space where his body existed had been cut away from reality itself.
Kai screamed.
A scream of pure, primal terror.
The scream of a creature that had never, in all its existence, encountered something that it could not corrupt, could not consume, could not dominate.
And for the first time since the tournament began, Kai felt true fear.
The rift closed.
The line of nothingness faded.
And Damon stood in the center of the arena, his wooden sword restored to its original form, his golden eyes calm, his breathing steady.
In front of him, a trench stretched across the arena floor.
It was a wound in the arena itself, a place where the stone had been removed from existence, leaving behind a smooth, impossibly clean edge that seemed to absorb light.
And at the far end of that trench, Kai stood.
His demonic form was shattered.
Three of his six arms were gone, severed at the shoulder, the wounds perfectly clean, as if they had never existed at all.
He was on his knees.
His remaining three arms trembled as he tried to push himself up, failed, and collapsed onto the stone.
The arena was silent.
Everyone in that stadium, from the lowest servant to the highest elder, understood that they had just witnessed something that should not exist.
Something that defied every law of cultivation they had ever learned.
Something that belonged to a different era, a different reality, a different existence entirely.
In the royal box, King Aurelius Solaris rose from his throne.
His face was pale.
His hands were gripping the armrests so tightly that the wood was cracking.
"Grand Marshal," he said, his voice barely a whisper. "What... what was that?"
Grand Marshal Vane did not answer.
For the first time in centuries, the Saint Spirit Realm Ninth Level cultivator had no words.
In the VIP box, Alistair was standing, his face a mask of disbelief and terror.
Brought to his knees by a single strike from a boy who had been hiding his true power the entire tournament.
On the arena floor, Damon Arcknight lowered his wooden sword.
He looked down at Kai’s broken form, at the demonic cultivator who had slaughtered dozens, who had terrorized the tournament, who had been the Eclipse Cult’s greatest weapon.
He tilted his head.
"Get up," he said.
His voice carried across the silent arena.
"We’re not done yet."
Kai’s remaining three arms twitched.
His head lifted slowly, his multiple eyes meeting Damon’s golden gaze.
There was no rage in them anymore.
Only fear.
And for the first time in his life, Kai understood what it meant to face something that he could not defeat.
"Good. I was hoping you’d survive that."
He raised his wooden sword again.
The darkness began to pool around the blade once more.
And the entire arena held its breath, waiting to see what would happen when the boy decided to strike again.
