Chapter 292: Chapter 292: I will treat you the best I could

Damon reached into his storage ring and pulled out five more rings.

They gleamed under the soft light of the penthouse, each one crafted from polished obsidian with silver veins running through the surface like rivers of starlight.

He walked around the room, placing one in Selene’s palm, then Seraphina’s, then Alena’s, then Flare’s, and finally Lumina’s.

"What’s this?" Lumina asked, turning the ring over in her fingers.

"A storage ring," Damon said.

"But I already have one," Alena said, holding up her own plain silver band.

"This one’s different."

He waited for them to examine the rings more closely.

Selene’s eyes narrowed as she sent a thread of spiritual energy into the obsidian band.

Her breath caught.

"This interior space is enormous," she said, her voice carrying genuine surprise.

"I’ve never seen a storage ring this large. It must be at least a hundred meters in each direction."

The other women’s eyes widened as they inspected their own rings.

"But that’s not the best part," Damon said.

"Send your spiritual sense deeper into the ring. Feel the formation at the core."

Selene closed her eyes and probed deeper.

Her eyes snapped open.

"There’s a communication array embedded in the ring," she said slowly.

"These rings can communicate with each other."

"Exactly," Damon said.

"Each ring is linked to the others. You can send messages, share location, even transmit images across any distance. As long as you wear the ring, you’re connected to each other."

Ariel held up her own ring, the one Damon had given her weeks ago.

"I’ve been using mine since he gave it to me," she said with a soft smile.

"It’s how I knew he was safe during his training."

Mio and Mia exchanged glances, then held up their own rings.

"Same here," Mio said.

"We’ve been testing the range. It works across the entire sect grounds."

The new recipients stared at their rings with renewed wonder.

Seraphina turned hers over, examining the silver veins.

"I’ve never heard of storage rings with communication arrays built in," she said.

"These must be incredibly rare."

"They are," Damon said simply.

"And now they’re yours."

He watched as they each slipped the rings onto their fingers.

Selene hesitated.

She held the ring in her palm, her expression unreadable.

’He’s giving these to the tournament fighters. Not to me.’

She was an elder, already at King Spirit Realm Fourth Level, already powerful enough to protect herself.

She didn’t need a fancy ring.

She didn’t need to be included in this.

She started to lower her hand.

But Damon caught her wrist.

"Selene."

She looked up, her frosty eyes meeting his golden gaze.

He pulled her into a hug, his arms wrapping around her mature frame.

"You’re the strongest here," he whispered into her ear.

"The most experienced. The most feared."

He pulled back just enough to look into her eyes.

"But you’re still my woman."

Selene’s breath hitched.

"And that means you get the same treatment as everyone else."

He released her and turned to face the others, his expression serious.

"I don’t care who you were before."

He swept his gaze across the room.

"Since now, you are my women. And I will treat you the best I could. Equally."

The room fell silent.

Ariel’s eyes glistened with unshed tears.

Mio and Mia clutched each other’s hands, their expressions soft and vulnerable.

Seraphina’s emerald eyes shimmered with an unspoken emotion as she looked at Damon, her usually calm and composed demeanor cracking just slightly.

The ring on her finger felt like a brand, a mark of belonging she had never dared to hope for.

She had spent years alone, dedicated solely to the path of the sword, believing that was all she needed.

But now, standing here among his other women, she realized how hollow that solitude had been.

Her lips parted as if to speak, but no words came—only a deep, resonant warmth spreading through her chest.

Alena pressed her palm flat against her chest, feeling her heart pound erratically beneath her fingers.

Her forest-green eyes were wide, her breath caught in her throat.

And for the first time in her life, she let herself simply feel it without needing to understand it.

Lumina’s golden eyes held a new light, a warmth that hadn’t been there before.

The hidden princess, who had spent years perfecting her disguise and maintaining her iron composure, found her defenses crumbling.

She looked at the ring on her finger, then at Damon, and felt something shift deep within her soul.

She allowed herself a small, genuine smile—the kind she had never shown anyone before him.

Flare’s arms slowly uncrossed.

She looked at the ring on her finger, then at Damon, her orange eyes tracing his features.

And for the first time since they met, her expression held no defiance.

Just acceptance.

"Thank you," she whispered, so quietly that only Damon heard.

He smiled at her.

One by one, the women slipped the rings onto their fingers.

The obsidian bands glowed briefly as they settled into place, then dimmed.

Selene stared at the ring on her finger.

It felt warm against her cold skin.

She looked up at Damon, and for a moment, the frozen mask cracked completely.

"I don’t know what I did to deserve you," she said quietly.

"But I’m grateful."

Damon stepped forward and kissed her forehead.

"You just had to be yourself."

He turned and spotted Neko in her cat form, curled up on a silk cushion near the window.

He walked over and scooped her up gently.

Neko purred and rubbed her head against his chest.

"Alright everyone," Damon said, turning toward the door.

"The opening ceremony is about to begin."

The women straightened their robes, adjusted their weapons, and formed a line behind him.

Ariel stepped to his left. Lumina moved to his right.

The rest followed in a graceful arc, their presence filling the room with power and beauty.

Damon opened the door and led them out.

The Sky-Sovereign Hotel’s golden corridors stretched before them, and beyond the windows, the Great Solaris Arena gleamed under the morning sun.

Thousands of cultivators had gathered from across the continent.

But none of them had what Damon had.

A family.

A harem.

An army of women who would follow him into hell itself.

And he would lead them to victory.

He stepped through the hotel doors into the sunlight, Neko warm against his chest, his women at his back, and the tournament ahead.
