Chapter 2867: Chapter 147: True and False Shamans (Part 2)

A tall and sturdy man, with a head full of red hair, had an ancient and simple face, steady and spirited eyes, as if flames were burning within them, engraved with indestructible faith, and his strong telekinesis.

His upper body was half-naked, revealing rock-like muscles and blood-red flame patterns on his back.

He also carried some strange sachets and medicine bottles emitting a peculiar fishy smell.

His cultivation was at the Late Golden Core Stage.

The other person was a woman, heavily made-up, with lips of dark green, long and narrow eyebrows, and very heavy eye shadow.

Judging by her facial features, she was a seductive beauty.

Yet only her face was visible.

Her entire body was wrapped in a turquoise robe, vaguely showing her graceful figure, but no skin other than her face could be seen.

Her aura was profound, also at the Late Golden Core Stage.

"Two Late Golden Core Stage..."

Mo Hua felt a chill inside, and judging from the strong telekinesis emanating from these two, this man and woman were most likely the true "Shaman Lords" whom Chief Dan Lie had warned him about, originating from the Royal Court and would participate in this alliance meeting.

Sure enough, as these two entered, everyone around, whether chieftains, elders, or barbarian generals, rose to greet them:

"Lord Yan Zhu."

"Lord Qing Zhu."

These tribal leaders spoke in very respectful tones.

Even though they held high positions in large tribes and wielded great power over thousands, they still dared not show any disrespect to the true shamans.

This was a world of difference compared to their attitude towards Mo Hua.

They mostly regarded Mo Hua with cold eyes and derision, let alone respect.

Being able to consider the big picture and not exposing Mo Hua as a "fake" on the spot was the greatest "honor" they extended to such a fraud.

Mo Hua was also somewhat shocked.

Previously, he thought that the shamans of the Royal Court probably weren’t much better than himself.

But now, seeing this "Yan" and "Qing," two real shamans, sensing their strong aura and resilient telekinesis.

Mo Hua couldn’t help but think that perhaps... it wasn’t unreasonable for others to look down on him.

These two real shamans, both at the Late Golden Core Stage, one tall and majestic like divine fire.

The other, at the Late Golden Core Stage, possessed a graceful, elegant figure with a mysterious allure.

While he himself was at the Late Foundation Establishment Stage, not tall, with a youthful face.

In such a comparison, anyone with eyes could easily tell who was the real shaman and who was the fake.

Even Mo Hua saw himself as a "counterfeit," let alone others...

Mo Hua sighed in his heart, feeling a slight... bit of "inferiority."

Of course, outwardly he remained composed, a shaman lord who was indifferent to honor or disgrace, steady as Mount Tai, dignified and reliable.

At the highest point of the alliance meeting, there were two seats.

These were specially prepared for the two Royal Court shamans.

The one referred to as "Lord Yan Zhu" was the valiant man with the upper body bare and covered in fire patterns.

While the one with a graceful figure wrapped in a turquoise robe, revealing only a beautiful face, was "Lord Qing Zhu."

The titles of both included the word "Zhu," likely to highlight their identity as shamans.

And the terms "Yan" and "Qing" probably related to their cultivation techniques or the deities they served.

With everyone’s support, Yan Zhu and Qing Zhu took their seats and the first thing they did was look at Mo Hua.

Because in the whole assembly, only Mo Hua was at the Foundation Establishment Stage.

Only Mo Hua was the "odd one out."

Only Mo Hua remained seated and unmoved, not rising to greet them, seemingly indifferent to their presence.

Qing Zhu’s gaze lingered on Mo Hua’s fair and delicate face, without any words.

Instead, it was Yan Zhu who glanced at Mo Hua and asked faintly:

"And this one is..."

No one answered, the scene turned a bit quiet.

Finally, Chief Dan Lie of the Danque Tribe stepped out to introduce Mo Hua: "This one... is also... a Shaman Lord."

Dan Lie felt a slight torment and a bit of embarrassment inwardly.

After all, to praise Mo Hua, a fake shaman, in front of real shamans really tested the thickness of one’s skin.

A trace of "habitual" ridicule flashed in Yan Zhu’s eyes as he turned to Mo Hua, asking gently:

"Then may I ask this ’Shaman’... when did you enter the Royal Court? When were you given the divine register? When did you heed the teachings of the deities? Which master do you respect? What sect and lineage do you belong to? Are you a Lower, Middle or Upper Witch? Who permits you to roam the world? Who bestowed upon you the title ’Zhu’? What deity’s path are you propagating?"

Mo Hua remained silent.

He cursed inwardly.

These people of the Great Wilderness really have a problem, so many intricate rules for just a shaman, who are they guarding against? Is there any point?

Mo Hua’s eyes flickered slightly, and he replied calmly: "I don’t know..."

Everyone was stunned.

Even Yan Zhu and Qing Zhu had a flash of astonishment in their eyes.

Usually, those pretending to be shamans in front of them, even when exposed, would at least bluff a few sentences in self-defense.

But for this person to directly say he did not know...

Wasn’t this a blatant "fraud"?

Couldn’t even make up a few lies.

Yet here he was, sitting in a high position, on par with the tribal leaders?

The great chieftains and elders present, upon hearing this, changed their expressions, looking coldly at Mo Hua, clearly displeased, evidently ashamed of being "fooled" by him.

Chief Dan Lie looked strange.

Even Lugu was somewhat puzzled, not understanding Mo Hua’s intention.

Yan Zhu’s eyes narrowed slightly, looking at Mo Hua: "So, you are not a shaman, and your identity is fake?"

But Mo Hua shook his head, "No, I am a shaman."

Yan Zhu’s eyes turned cold, "You claim to know nothing, yet you say you are a shaman?"

Mo Hua countered: "Who told you that being a shaman requires knowing all those nonsensical things?"

Yan Zhu laughed instead of getting angry: "The tradition of the Great Wilderness, the inheritance of the Royal Court, the rules of the shamans, have been this way for thousands of years, passed down through the ages, could they be false?"

Mo Hua calmly replied:

"The inheritance of the Great Wilderness is the business of the Great Wilderness. The inheritance of the Royal Court is the business of the Royal Court. These are merely human-made rules, what do they have to do with deities? As a shaman, do you honor the will of the deity, or the worldly rules set by man?"

Yan Zhu was momentarily stumped by Mo Hua’s words.

Even Qing Zhu looked a bit dazed.

The others also exchanged bewildered glances.

Yan Zhu’s gaze turned icy, staring at Mo Hua, he sneered: "What bold words, so you say you honor the will of the deity?"

Mo Hua, his face not flushing, nodded: "Naturally."

Yan Zhu’s gaze was indifferent: "Not entering the Royal Court, not being consecrated, having no foundation, no inheritance, no shaman rank, no shaman name, yet you dare proclaim yourself a shaman? You truly are bold..."

But Mo Hua shook his head: "It wasn’t I who claimed to be a shaman."

Yan Zhu sneered, "Then who told you?"

Mo Hua earnestly nodded: "It was the Lord of the Temple, personally told me."

Yan Zhu looked at Mo Hua, momentarily speechless.

Mo Hua kept a solemn demeanor, continuing:

"I was born in ignorance, since my birth, I knew not the years, nor my tribe, nor whence I came, nor where I was going, wandering aimlessly between heaven and earth. One day, I suddenly dreamed, seeing gold light filling the skies, glazed brilliance, a deity like an innocent child bestowed the grace of the deities upon me, and told me of the great calamity in the world, the great suffering of the people, and the endless nightmare about to descend upon the earth..."

"While people, in their ignorance, continued to fight and slaughter each other. The Divine Way decays, trapped in old illnesses, confined by dogmas, people serve the name of the deities, yet never truly listen to the teachings of the deities, indulging in personal desires, committing acts of degradation, leading to the great calamity upon the world, the creatures facing a disaster of extinction."

"Hence, the deity, like an innocent child, personally consecrated me as a ’Shaman,’ to shoulder the teachings of the deity, embody the divine power, to walk the earth, to rid of evil spirits, propagate the divine message, save the people from disaster, and illuminate the hearts with light..."

Mo Hua’s eyes were clear, his expression devout, teeth white like jade, words flowing with eloquence.

All the great chieftains were shocked and stunned upon hearing this.

Yan Zhu was even dumbfounded on the spot.

This kid...

He wasn’t incapable of making up lies, he was too good at it.

This skill with words, even Yan Zhu, having been a shaman for so long, was seeing for the first time.
