Chapter 126: 126 | Quiet Orders

Lin Tian’s gaze settled on Madam Shen.

"My Queen."

Madam Shen stepped forward. Her mature figure carried the graceful fullness of a woman in her prime, while her composed posture reflected the authority she had built within the Resource Hall.

"I await your order, Master."

A faint softness appeared in Lin Tian’s eyes.

"The first changes in the resource flow have already begun. Have you noticed anything unusual?"

Madam Shen nodded.

"The Eastern Valley route has started taking slightly longer. A few requests have also been returned for routine verification, but nothing has raised suspicion."

She paused, then added quietly, "I was careful."

Lin Tian gave a small nod of approval.

"I know you were."

The simple acknowledgment made her expression soften for a moment. Madam Shen had long since learned that Lin Tian rarely praised unnecessary things, which made even a few quiet words from him feel meaningful.

"Do not force the matter," he continued. "Let the inconvenience accumulate naturally."

"I will."

Lin Tian then looked toward Lady Yun.

"My Shadow Queen."

Lady Yun emerged slightly from the shadows. Her slender, mature figure moved with quiet grace, every motion controlled and measured.

"I am listening."

"Any changes?"

Lady Yun’s eyes narrowed faintly as she recalled what she had observed.

"Nothing large enough to confirm a connection yet. But Elder Liu’s routine has a few inconsistencies. Certain movements around Alchemy Peak become more cautious whenever her symptoms worsen."

Lin Tian’s expression became thoughtful.

"Good. Keep watching those periods."

Lady Yun nodded.

"I will."

A brief silence followed before she added, "I also made sure none of our people approached her directly."

Lin Tian met her eyes.

"That’s why I trust you."

For the first time, a faint smile touched Lady Yun’s lips.

"Then I will continue."

His gaze shifted to Aunt Lin.

"Aunt Lin"

Aunt Lin stepped forward. The mature strength in her figure reflected years of forging and cultivation, yet there was a familiar warmth in her eyes whenever she looked at him.

"The formation remains stable," she said. "The flaw is still dormant."

She hesitated briefly before continuing, "I left it exactly as instructed."

"I know."

Lin Tian’s voice softened.

"You’ve done enough. Don’t risk yourself just to make the pressure rise faster."

Aunt Lin’s eyes warmed slightly.

"Then I will wait."

For a moment, the tension of the meeting eased.

These three women were not merely pieces on a formation board. Each had taken a place beside him and carried part of the Shadow Web without needing constant supervision.

Lin Tian looked at them quietly.

"We’ve come this far without exposing ourselves. Keep that discipline."

Madam Shen, Lady Yun, and Aunt Lin all nodded.

"We will."

Lin Tian leaned back slightly.

"Let the changes accumulate on their own. When Alchemy Peak finally reacts, we will already be ready."

No further orders were necessary.

The three women remained for a few moments longer before preparing to leave, each carrying a different expression—Madam Shen’s quiet satisfaction, Lady Yun’s focused calm, and Aunt Lin’s warm confidence.

Outside, the morning mist still covered the distant peaks.

Within the Cloud-Sea Pavilion, the next step of the Shadow Web had already begun.

Lady Yun nodded. Her Middle Stage Foundation Establishment cultivation gave her enough strength to move through the Inner Sect safely, while her shadow techniques kept her presence concealed.

"I need reliable information about the areas surrounding Elder Liu’s furnace chambers," Lin Tian said. "Learn the layout whenever you find a safe opportunity, and identify the Inner Sect disciples she relies on most often."

Lady Yun listened without interrupting.

"Also, compare her movements with the times when her Phantom Burns worsen. I want to know what usually happens before her condition changes."

"I understand," Lady Yun replied. "I will observe the pattern first and act only when the opportunity is safe."

Lin Tian’s expression became slightly more serious.

"Do not take unnecessary risks. A useful report is worthless if you expose yourself to obtain it."

For a moment, Lady Yun’s guarded expression softened.

"You are worried about my safety?"

"Of course," Lin Tian answered simply. "I trust your judgment. I don’t want that trust turned into recklessness."

A faint smile appeared on Lady Yun’s lips.

"Then I will return with information, not trouble."

Lin Tian nodded before shifting his attention to Aunt Lin.

"My Forge Queen."

Aunt Lin stepped forward. Her mature figure carried the sturdy strength of a cultivator and craftsman, while the confidence in her eyes softened whenever she looked at him.

"You have already proven what you can do with the Umbrella of Shifting Heavens," Lin Tian said. "But showing that level of progress too often would draw attention."

Aunt Lin immediately understood.

"Because people would start asking why my craftsmanship improved so suddenly."

"Exactly."

Lin Tian nodded.

"For now, keep your public work within the range expected from an Early Stage Foundation Establishment Master Forger. Produce practical artifacts and ordinary spiritual tools. Let your true progress remain hidden."

Aunt Lin smiled softly.

"I understand. I won’t give anyone a reason to look too closely at the Artifact Pavilion."

Lin Tian’s expression eased.

"That’s why I can leave it in your hands."

A warmth appeared in Aunt Lin’s eyes.

"I won’t disappoint you."

Lin Tian then looked at all three women.

"Keep your actions separate. Madam Shen handles the resource flow. Lady Yun gathers information. Aunt Lin keeps her true ability concealed."

The three women nodded.

"We understand."

Lin Tian leaned back slightly.

"We are not trying to bring Elder Liu down in a single move. We only need the pressure to become inconvenient enough that she eventually starts looking for the cause."

His gaze turned toward the distant direction of Alchemy Peak.

"Until then, every setback must have an ordinary explanation."

No one spoke.

The plan did not require grand movements. It required each part to advance quietly without interfering with the others.

"Return to your positions," Lin Tian said.

Lady Yun left first, disappearing into the corridor shadows. Madam Shen followed soon after, already considering the next set of resource requests. Aunt Lin remained for a moment longer.

She looked back at Lin Tian and smiled.

"Take care of yourself too."

Then she turned and left.

The hall fell silent.

Lin Tian’s eyes remained on the distant peaks of Alchemy Peak.Nothing had happened yet. That was exactly how he wanted it.

The doors closed behind them, leaving Lin Tian alone in the quiet of the Cloud-Sea Pavilion.

He rose and walked toward the grand balcony.

The morning mist was beginning to clear, revealing the sprawling architecture of the Crimson Nimbus Sect below. Disciples moved through the courtyards, merchants carried supplies between the pavilions, and cultivators hurried toward their daily duties, unaware of the subtle changes taking place beneath the sect’s orderly surface.

Lin Tian rested his hands against the cold stone railing and looked over the sect.

He was eighteen years old.

In the eyes of the sect, he was still only a talented young disciple who had gained the attention of a few influential figures. He had spent more than a month in quiet seclusion, consolidating the gains from his recent cultivation while keeping his true strength carefully concealed.

But remaining hidden for too long would eventually become suspicious.

After more than a month of seclusion, another long period inside the pavilion would begin to look unusual. He needed to be seen doing what an ambitious Inner Sect disciple was supposed to do.

"A normal Inner Sect mission," Lin Tian murmured.

He did not need the sect’s ordinary rewards, nor did he lack cultivation resources. What he needed was a reason to appear active within the sect’s established system.

A mission would provide exactly that.

It would allow him to leave the Cloud-Sea Pavilion, interact with other disciples, and show the Hall Masters that he was still following the path expected of an ambitious young cultivator.

More importantly, it would take him away from the heavily monitored inner peaks, giving him room to test the true limits of his "[Primordial Yang-Tyrant Body]" without risking damage to the Cloud-Sea Pavilion.

Lin Tian straightened and turned from the balcony.

The plan was simple.

Madam Shen would continue applying subtle pressure to Elder Liu’s resources. Lady Yun would gather information and watch for patterns. Aunt Lin would keep her true forging ability concealed.

And Lin Tian would step into the open.

He did not need to control every movement around Elder Liu. He only needed the pressure to keep building while he remained invisible within the ordinary flow of the sect.

"The next move is mine."

Lin Tian left the balcony.

The quiet orders had been given, and the Shadow Web would continue moving quietly without requiring his constant presence.

Now it was time for him to return to the role everyone expected him to play, a talented young disciple with nothing unusual to hide.

The Mission Hall would be his next stop, where he could resume his ordinary role within the sect.
