Chapter 444: Chapter 440: Celestial Spirit Artifact

In the Great Thousand Realms, it is well known that the combat power of Celestial Martial Realm Kings is graded on a ten-star scale.

There is a significant gap in combat power between each star. A Two-Stars King is stronger than a One-Star, a Three-Stars King is stronger than a Two-Stars, and so on. The higher the star rating, the greater the strength.

Once a King reaches Nine-Stars Combat Power, they are no longer considered an ordinary King, but a king of kings, revered as a "Celestial King"!

Golden Cicada was one such Celestial King, regarded as a legend by countless Martial Artists in the Six Eastern Provinces.

The difference in combat power among Celestial Martial Realm Kings lies in their comprehension of the Laws.

The deeper one’s comprehension of a Law, the stronger their combat power. If one can comprehend the Power of a Law to the point of Perfection, they become a Top Level King with combat power reaching Seven or Eight Stars.

As for those at the Celestial King Level, they comprehend multiple Laws, not just one. Furthermore, they can achieve Law Fusion...

The power born from Law Fusion is far greater than the sum of its parts.

Of course, this path is incredibly difficult. Otherwise, there wouldn’t be only Four Great Kings in the Great Thousand Realms today.

As for Ten-Stars Combat Power, it is known in legends as a "living myth," but whether it truly exists is unknown.

Here in the Six Eastern Provinces, the Seven Great Kings’ comprehension of the Laws was not particularly profound; they were all at the Entry Level.

It’s not that they didn’t want to comprehend the Laws on a deeper level; it was simply too difficult for them. A person’s potential is finite, and reaching the Celestial Martial Realm had already exhausted most of theirs. Taking another step forward was an insurmountable task.

The Thunderbird Ning Jiang had just summoned, however, was the manifestation of a Minor Achievement Law.

If a Martial Artist could bring their Law comprehension to the Minor Achievement Stage, their combat power would typically be around Three or Four Stars.

With their Entry Level comprehension of the Laws, the Seven Great Kings only possessed One- or Two-Stars combat power. That’s why the palm-sized Thunderbird was able to so easily blast and injure the Primordial King’s giant hand.

’Damn it, how can he wield a Minor Achievement Law?’

The Seven Great Kings’ eyes filled with dread, utterly stunned by Ning Jiang’s move.

A Minor Achievement Law was already capable of threatening their lives. At the Celestial Martial Realm, even a slight difference in Law comprehension resulted in a massive gap in combat power.

’This is bad. Among us, only the Celestial Sword King’s comprehension of his Law is the most profound, having reached the peak of the Entry Level. While he’s extremely close to Minor Achievement, he’s still a step away. His combat power is at Two-Stars, while the rest of us six are only at One-Star. But the Law of Thunder this brat is wielding has power equivalent to at least Three-Stars!’

The minds of the Great Kings reeled.

’This meant Ning Jiang was effectively a Three-Stars King. They were six One-Star Kings and one Two-Star King, all ganging up on him.’

Despite their superior numbers, they held no significant advantage.

A single Three-Stars King was more than enough to crush them all!

"Everyone, don’t panic! His power can’t possibly last forever. Once it runs out, he’s a dead man!"

the Celestial Sword King said coldly.

"Is that so? Then let’s see who dies first—me or all of you. Celestial Sword King, you can have a taste of my power, too."

With a cold voice, Ning Jiang beckoned with his palm. Another Thunderbolt descended from within the Law of Thunder. "Go."

This time, the Thunderbolt took the form of a butterfly, still only the size of a palm. It fluttered gracefully, seeming to move slowly, but in the blink of an eye, it was right in front of the Celestial Sword King.

"Break."

Using his hand as a blade, the Celestial Sword King viciously chopped down.

BOOM...

Terrifying Thunderbolt Power exploded. This time, there wasn’t a flash of light that enveloped the land for hundreds of miles, but the Celestial Sword King was sent tumbling backward uncontrollably, his entire body charred black.

Pfft.

He spat out a mouthful of fresh blood, his expression grim.

"Good. Very good. How many years has it been since anyone managed to injure me? Ning Jiang, you dared to wound me! Only your death can atone for this!"

The Celestial Sword King’s voice was ice-cold as the sharp aura around him surged, climbing ever higher. Standing there, he seemed to become a Divine Sword incarnate, sharp enough to pierce the heavens and the earth.

"Ning Jiang, you should be proud. You’ve forced me to draw my sword."

With a backhand grip, he grabbed the hilt of the sword on his back and drew it in a single motion!

SHIIING!

A flash of white light, like a rainbow, streaked across the sky. The moment the sword left its scabbard, the Celestial Sword King’s aura exploded. With the blade in hand, his entire body was engulfed by roiling Sword Qi. The very air was transformed by his presence, solidifying into countless blades of Sword Qi that crisscrossed the sky with a piercing whistle.

’A Celestial Spirit Artifact.’

Ning Jiang’s eyes narrowed. He recognized its grade at a single glance from the aura it emitted.

Generally speaking, Spirit Realm Powerhouses use Low Grade Spiritual Artifacts, Primordial Spirit Fourth Tribulation Realm experts use Middle Grade ones, Earth Martial Realm cultivators use Upper Grade, and those at the Heaven-Reaching Realm use Top Grade.

Once a cultivator becomes a King, the Spiritual Artifacts they wield are known as Celestial Spirit Artifacts.

For instance, the Demon Slaying Sword Ning Jiang once wielded was a Celestial Spirit Artifact. However, its spiritual core was damaged, making its power a pale shadow of its former glory.

However, Celestial Spirit Artifacts are exceedingly rare, and not many Kings actually possess one.

The fact that the Seven Great Kings possessed Celestial Spirit Artifacts was a testament to thousands of years of accumulated resources. Otherwise, forging a single one would have taken them centuries.

How could someone who had only recently stepped into the Celestial Martial Realm possibly have several centuries to forge their own Celestial Spirit Artifact?

Furthermore, forging a Celestial Spirit Artifact required Divine Materials of Celestial Level quality.

"I heard that a thousand years ago, the Seven Great Kings joined forces to explore the Ancient Forbidden Land and obtained a rare Divine Material from inside. In the end, they divided the material evenly and each forged a Celestial Spirit Artifact."

A spectating Martial Artist who knew some of the inside story commented.

After the Celestial Sword King revealed his Celestial Spirit Artifact, the other Six Great Kings no longer hesitated, each drawing their own.

The Infinite King wielded a ruler, the Primordial King a Fangtian Halberd, and the Brahma Celestial King a Flame Gold Bracelet...

Each of the Seven Great Kings possessed a unique Celestial Spirit Artifact, and as they revealed them, their auras skyrocketed.

It’s a universally acknowledged fact that a Martial Artist’s strength is enhanced when they use a weapon.

The Celestial Sword King was already the strongest among them. Now, his aura had risen to be nearly on par with a Three-Stars King, while the others were almost comparable to Two-Stars Kings.

"The Seven Great Kings have all played their trump cards. It looks like this battle is about to be decided."

Watching the explosive situation unfold, everyone’s heart leaped into their throats.

"Ning Jiang, are you ready to die?" the Celestial Sword King asked, pointing his sword at Ning Jiang as his piercing aura locked onto him.

"Hahahaha! Celestial Sword King, what do the seven of you even matter? I’ve killed more Kings than you can count!" Ning Jiang’s boisterous laughter echoed, filled with a disdain that looked down upon the heavens and the earth, an arrogance that held the entire world in contempt.

"Such arrogance! Kill him!"

The Celestial Sword King let out a cold cry and was the first to strike. With a single slash of his sword, it seemed as though the very heavens and earth would be rent asunder.

Simultaneously, the other Six Great Kings attacked, unleashing their strongest killing techniques in a coordinated siege to annihilate Ning Jiang.

It was a perfect kill formation, leaving him no path of escape.

"Let thunder fall!"

Ning Jiang commanded the Law of Thunder, launching his own attack.

RUMBLE.

The sky was engulfed in an endless radiance, boiling with chaotic energy.
