Immortal of the Nine Realms
Chapter 1895: Brothers
The days passed one by one.
The Eighteen Heavens Prison Tower seemed determined to fill its stomach that had gone hungry all these years, showing absolutely no intention of stopping.
Fang Chen couldn't help feeling anxious. His relationship with the Eighteen Heavens Prison Tower was actually not that close. It was unlike the Monarch Yan's Seal, which had already recognized him as its master. As long as the Eighteen Heavens Prison Tower had not recognized him as its master, anyone else could control it as long as it fell into their hands. Fang Chen would lose control over everything inside.
By this time, some of the Yin Demons that had been relatively close to this place had already sensed the disturbance and arrived ahead of the others. Fortunately, these Yin Demons were not very capable and possessed no intelligence. They only knew that the Eighteen Heavens Prison Tower was extremely powerful, so their instinct to seek fortune and avoid disaster kept them from approaching.
However, as the days passed, more and more Yin Demons were bound to gather here. Once their numbers grew, trouble would naturally follow.
"Ah, I was suffocating to death!"
Suddenly, a voice rang out next to Fang Chen's ear. Immediately after, a multicolored divine sword flew out of his body. Just like the Eighteen Heavens Prison Tower, it transformed in mid-air into a woman with colorful long hair.
Little Sword's face was full of relief, carrying a refreshing sense of comfort as if she had held her breath for a long time and finally managed to inhale fresh air.
Following that, her aura began to climb steadily, growing stronger at a pace visible to the naked eye.
Realization appeared in Fang Chen's eyes, accompanied by a trace of gratification.
During his time in the History Immortal Book, he had gone from the fourth transformation to the seventh transformation, crossing three major realms in succession. Little Sword naturally had to strengthen accordingly as well.
It was simply because of the peculiar nature of the History Immortal Book that Little Sword hadn't been able to receive those improvements immediately.
The voice of the Mirror of the Universe rang out by Fang Chen's ear, carrying a hint of emotion. "Brother, the History Immortal Book is indeed extraordinary. I was even forcibly suppressed for a very long time."
Fang Chen probed, "Little Mirror, with your capability, you were actually suppressed by the History Immortal Book? Does this mean that your original creator's strength wasn't particularly high?"
The Mirror of the Universe remained silent for a long while, and then chuckled. "That is hard to say. It's just that the History Immortal Book is too unique after all. If it could truly suppress me completely, I wouldn't have been able to get in, nor would I have been able to come out."
Fang Chen nodded and said nothing more. He could tell that the Mirror of the Universe was hesitating to speak, as some matters obviously could not be spoken of directly.
Mirror of the Universe sighed. "She should be able to enter the top two hundred of the Spiritual Treasure Ranking this time."
Fang Chen looked toward Little Sword. Her aura was still rising rapidly, already faintly rivaling a fifth transformation level. Barring any surprises, her aura would keep rising until it reached around the seventh transformation level.
Fang Chen suddenly asked, "Little Mirror, what do you think of this tower? Can it enter the top ten of the Spiritual Treasure Ranking?"
"This pagoda... it is a supreme treasure of the Underworld, so it is not listed on the Spiritual Treasure Ranking. But if a true comparison were to be made, its origin is far nobler than the spiritual treasures on that ranking."
Fang Chen's expression shifted slightly. He had understood the implication behind Mirror of the Universe's words. This meant that Eighteen Heavens Prison Tower had been brought over from the Divine Realm. Meanwhile, the treasures on the Spiritual Treasure Ranking were native treasures born and nurtured within the Nine Realms. There was indeed a massive difference between the origins of the two.
One person and one book exchanged words back and forth, chatting casually for half the day before the Mirror of the Universe's voice gradually faded. It was obvious that inside the History Immortal Book, it had also been suffocated for a long time, just like Little Sword. Normally, every word from it was precious, and it rarely spoke without good reason.
Fang Chen's expression shifted. "Hmm? Ghost Immortals have arrived."

Several hundred miles away, two figures, one tall and one short, suddenly stopped in their tracks.
"Be careful. Don't go any further forward. Too many Yin Demons have gathered here."
The former looked toward the distant Yin Demons with a grave gaze, gesturing for the other not to act rashly.
Within their line of sight, nearly ten thousand Yin Demons were entrenched along the banks of the Forgotten River, staring dead at the Eighteen Heavens Prison Tower in the sky.
"It's this pagoda. With an aura this terrifying, it must be a supreme treasure."
The short Ghost Immortal looked greedily at the Eighteen Heavens Prison Tower, which nearly blotted out the horizon.
The tall Ghost Immortal pondered, "A supreme treasure like this will inevitably attract covetous eyes from multiple factions. We should strike first to gain the upper hand."
The short Ghost Immortal furrowed his brows. "How do we strike? Look at these Yin Demons; they know best how to seek fortune and avoid disaster. They are encircling the perimeter and hesitating to advance precisely because they know this pagoda is extremely perilous."
"Yin Demons have no intelligence and cannot be compared to us. If this supreme treasure doesn't have a master, we have a chance to claim it. Whether we use it ourselves or offer it to the Division Head, it would be excellent."
The tall Ghost Immortal stared fixedly at the Eighteen Heavens Prison Tower. When he discovered that this pagoda was swallowing Yin Lifespan without any restraint, the greed in his eyes grew even thicker.
"If a supreme treasure like this had an owner, how could we not know? In this Greater Underworld, who could possibly be stronger than our Division Head? Since it doesn't belong to the Division Head, it must be unowned."
The short Ghost Immortal sneered. He silently walked behind the tall Ghost Immortal, and his palm thrust out like lightning.
Puff.
In just an instant, his palm pierced straight through the tall Ghost Immortal's chest.
Terrifying Yin energy vibrated frantically, intending to completely disperse the Yin energy on the tall Ghost Immortal's body.
"You..." The tall Ghost Immortal stared dead at the short Ghost Immortal. "You and I have been brothers for many years, and you treat me like this?!"
The short Ghost Immortal sighed softly. "It is precisely because we have been brothers for many years that I understand your temperament all too well. With this supreme treasure present, you would never let me leave alive. Even if I wanted to share it with you, there would be no such opportunity. You can't blame your brother!"
In the next moment, his palm shuddered, and the tall Ghost Immortal's soul instantly scattered, dissolving into a wisp of green smoke and vanishing.
The short Ghost Immortal looked toward the Eighteen Heavens Prison Tower. The greed in his eyes had almost turned tangible, nearly spilling out of his eye sockets.
"This supreme treasure is mine!"
Even so, he still didn't recklessly approach. Instead, he carefully observed the Eighteen Heavens Prison Tower.
"Brother, you really knew me too well. I indeed did not intend to let you leave alive. Who told you to insist on coming with me? If you had let me come alone from the very beginning, wouldn't that have been nice? At least once I rose to power, I would have remembered a shred of your kindness. Why did it have to come to this point of mutual slaughter?"
A black, sharp blade pierced through the short Ghost Immortal's head, entering from the back of his skull and exiting from between his brows.
The tall Ghost Immortal's figure materialized behind him, whispering softly into his ear.
The short Ghost Immortal's gaze froze, a look of utter disbelief appearing in his eyes as his lips trembled slightly, "You, you... how could you..."
The tall Ghost Immortal smiled. "Why couldn't I? Since you knew me so well, did you never consider that from the very beginning, I have always been on guard against you?"
The short Ghost Immortal suddenly laughed. "I, of course, have been on guard against you from the very beginning."
Immediately following that, his body instantly turned into a straw effigy and split cleanly in half.
Startled and uncertain, the tall Ghost Immortal swept his gaze in every direction, his eyes filled with vigilance.
In the void, Fang Chen could not help but shake his head.
