Chapter 454: Chapter 451: The Building Blocks’ Wish

"I think she’s spotted us."

The place Li Luo was looking was exactly the direction from which the Little Elf and Mo Ling were observing.

"How did she spot us?"

Mo Ling was utterly astonished. Li Luo was just an ordinary human; where did she get such a powerful ability?

The Lego Bird hadn’t even noticed them, yet she could?

"No idea."

The Little Elf said, adjusting the angle of observation.

Yet, Li Luo’s gaze followed them tightly, as if she knew precisely which way their viewpoint was moving.

"Since we’ve been discovered, there’s no point in observing anymore. Can we communicate with them?"

"Of course. I’m a god now, after all. I’ll send your projection over."

The moment the words were spoken, Mo Ling saw a flash of golden light before his eyes.

"I’m giving you control of the projection."

Before Mo Ling could even react, he found his vision completely enveloped by the golden light.

’It feels like having a new body.’

The projection still had the appearance of a Block head, but its entire body was overflowing with golden light, making it look incredibly divine.

Seeing this sudden projection, the Lego Bird froze for a moment. Then, the head excitedly shot out from the Lego Bird’s back.

"Transcendence! Transcendence!"

It was babbling incoherently, shouting nonstop, and trying to pull the Lego Bird toward Mo Ling’s projection.

This time, no matter how the Lego Bird tried to stop the head, it would just pop out from somewhere else.

Finally, when the Lego Bird wasn’t paying attention, the head broke away from its body, taking some blocks with it, and transformed into a small bat, flying toward Mo Ling’s projection.

After reaching the projection, it flew straight for its feet.

Only after passing through the ethereal golden light did the bat calm down slightly.

"Transcendence! Can you grant our wish?"

The bat circled Mo Ling excitedly, occasionally bumping against him.

Mo Ling didn’t answer. He was currently talking to the Little Elf.

"Can you grant its wish?"

"Of course I can."

Hearing the Little Elf’s affirmative answer, Mo Ling looked at the bat before him and slowly asked, "What is your wish?"

Mo Ling guessed the bat would ask for something like "transcendence" again.

Sure enough, the first word out of the bat’s mouth was "transcendence."

But this transcendence had nothing to do with itself.

"Let our companions who are still trapped in the fragments achieve transcendence."

Mo Ling was stunned.

"That’s it?"

’That simple?’

"That’s it. This has indeed always been their wish. I can see it," the Little Elf explained faintly.

"But, after their companions achieve transcendence, won’t they lose their ability to control the blocks?" Mo Ling asked, confused.

"This is wish-granting. Why don’t they choose a more perfect wish? Something like ’the power to freely travel between the fragment worlds and reality.’ Wouldn’t that be more suitable for them?"

Countless better wishes flashed through Mo Ling’s mind. He truly couldn’t understand why they would choose such a simple wish, one that came with so many drawbacks.

The Little Elf listened to Mo Ling’s questions and remained silent for a long time.

Then, with a flash of golden light, the Little Elf suddenly pulled the viewpoint back. Mo Ling once again saw the mountain-like piles of fragments below.

"You can ask them yourself," the Little Elf said suddenly.

Mo Ling didn’t quite understand, but he did as the Little Elf said and posed his question to the bat flitting about beside him...

And the bat’s answer was, once again, very simple:

"If the wish is too difficult, it would require simulating a god, right? That would in turn create another complex, simulated world. Perhaps one day, after the mirror surface shatters, another ’fragment race’ would be trapped within those fragment worlds."

"They would be just like us, thinking the cramped space enclosed by mirrors was the entire world. They would think the reflections in the mirrors were the only companions they could talk to, never getting a reply."

"They would also experience the same sunless days as us. Without the guidance of an Outer God, they might be trapped in that fragment world forever, never able to achieve transcendence."

"If our wish caused them to suffer like that, we would feel terribly guilty..."

Listening to the bat, Mo Ling was stunned.

He had never imagined this would be the reason.

"We can’t control the wishes of other races, but we can control our own."

"Is that all?" Mo Ling asked in disbelief.

"Yes," the bat replied nonchalantly. "The simpler the wish, the better."

Mo Ling had thought that after going through so much trouble to return to the Sea of Creation, to search for a divine object, and to chase Li Luo and him for so long, they wanted to fulfill some grand wish—to achieve the transcendence they had so desperately sought.

But he never expected that in the end, their wish would be so simple.

"Grant their wish," the Little Elf said softly.

"Alright..."

Mo Ling knew he couldn’t change their wish, so he could only agree.

The bat, having gotten its answer, cheered and rushed back to the Lego Bird.

"Our wish is going to be granted! It had to be me!" the bat said proudly.

Seeing this, the Lego Bird could only chime in with agreement.

Only Li Luo watched Mo Ling with a worried expression.

She looked at the wrist of Mo Ling’s projection. The bracelet that was there before was gone, replaced by threads wrapped around the Block head.

Mo Ling was covered in an incredibly divine golden light, floating in the air, the entire Sea of Creation encompassed by his vision.

The mountains of fragments reflected his lofty figure; everything around them showed the reflection of a god.

"Blockhead," Li Luo muttered, a strange sense of loss in her voice.

The great power of a god descended upon Mo Ling. Golden light overflowed as countless projections within the fragments burst forth, only to converge once more.

Li Luo could only watch in silence, her eyes filled with uncertainty.

The divine body seemed devoid of all emotion. It looked down upon the entire mountain range as the golden light swept wantonly across the land. The cloud-like golden light wrapped around that familiar figure, yet it felt cold and alien.

"Transcendence! Transcendence!"

The head began to shout again. Just as it had hoped, transcendence was above all else, yet also within all things. Just by standing there, he represented everything.

A sudden gust of wind messed up Li Luo’s hair.

Glass-like fragments were blown from the mountains, their crisp, tinkling sounds striking at her heart.

She understood that the one standing there at this moment was the god of the Sea of Creation...

...

Meanwhile, by the puddle.

"..."

"Why did you have to make such a huge scene?"

"It’s my first time being a god! Isn’t this how human novels always describe it? A god waves their hand, and the winds surge, light streams everywhere, the earth trembles, life is extinguished... everyone present is left utterly dumbfounded," the Little Elf said, a little excited.

"What kind of novels have you been reading?"

"Xuanhuan."
