Chapter 377: Chapter 374: Sky Shuttle Express

Once Mo Ling realized all this cargo was like packages for delivery, it no longer seemed strange.

They were all packed separately because each item was meant for a different recipient.

But who were the Sky Shuttle’s packages for?

’Could it be... they’re not for humans?’

Mo Ling recalled the information Si Yang had shared before, and a strange theory formed in his mind.

But the thought of these objects, so common in human society, ending up in the hands of other races felt incredibly awkward to Mo Ling.

Back on Fishman Island, it had taken Mo Ling a long time to get used to the Fishmen wearing human clothes.

Human culture seemed to be highly infectious to other races, easily drawing them in.

Si Yang was one such example.

And these "packages," with their unknown destinations, seemed to be further proof.

Mo Ling didn’t stop, continuing to search through the cargo.

As more and more "packages" were brought aboard, Mo Ling began to spot some particularly strange items:

A thoroughly cleaned cricket-fighting jar.

A messy, low-quality human wig.

A radio, complete with batteries, though who knew if it even worked.

...

These packages were often steeped in human "cultural attributes."

You wouldn’t buy a special cricket jar unless you planned on fighting crickets.

Not to mention items like wigs and radios, which were so clearly stamped with the mark of humanity.

Mo Ling really couldn’t figure out how other races would use these things.

An image even popped into his head: Jeff wearing an afro wig, holding a cricket jar in his left hand and a radio in his right.

The image was so ridiculous it made Mo Ling not know whether to laugh or cry.

Shaking the strange image from his mind, Mo Ling went back to searching through the packages.

"An evening sports paper from August 8, 2008."

"A misprinted banknote from fifty years ago."

"An old car magazine, complete with a picture of a curvaceous blonde model."

"..."

The more Mo Ling saw, the dizzier he got. He even began to doubt what he was seeing.

These items weren’t just cultural symbols anymore; they were carriers of culture itself.

Writing, currency, books... These were all things you’d never understand unless you were part of human society.

But now, here they were, all carefully packed and ready to be shipped to some unknown destination.

Mo Ling began to doubt his own judgment.

’Could it be that these packages aren’t for other races after all?’

Just as he was thinking this, all the cargo was loaded, and an announcement came over the ship’s broadcast: "Departure in one hour. All passengers, please familiarize yourselves with the Sky Shuttle’s safety precautions to avoid any threat to your personal safety."

The broadcast mentioned the ship’s precautions again.

They seemed extremely important.

Listening to the broadcast, Li Luo took out her electronic screen and began to look over the densely packed list of rules.

But before long, the convoluted rules started to make her dizzy.

So, she switched files and opened the information the machine had left for her.

Mo Ling was also very interested in the flight’s destination, so he quickly focused his attention on the screen.

"Sky Shuttle Route Information."

A nautical chart appeared before their eyes.

The chart clearly marked the specific details of the nearby sea regions.

Li Luo’s finger traced the route from Paradise Island all the way to its furthest point.

"The Sea of Creation."

The name made Li Luo freeze. Her finger stopped on the words, and she didn’t move for a long time.

’What a strange name.’ Watching the chart, Mo Ling was just as puzzled.

The Sky Shuttle would take three days to reach the edge of the Sea of Creation. Along the way, they would encounter many strange races. For these races, the chart was marked with a single word: Unknown.

’Races that even the machine doesn’t know about?’ Mo Ling was a little surprised.

However, there was a note next to the chart.

"The races appearing in this area are too numerous to be analyzed in detail, hence this designation."

So that was it. It wasn’t that the machine didn’t know; it was that there were too many races for it to provide a comprehensive introduction, so it had to generalize.

After reaching the outskirts of the Sea of Creation, they would have to disembark. The Sky Shuttle could go no further because the deeper one went, the sea would become a "solidified" landmass that would run all ships aground. Therefore, they had to get off and proceed on their own.

The machine had also added a note here: "Even after disembarking, you must still follow the Sky Shuttle’s precautions."

It seemed some of the Sky Shuttle’s precautions were applicable throughout the entire Sea of Creation.

Seeing this, Mo Ling was reminded of the outfit Li Luo had been wearing earlier.

The robot’s explanation for not allowing the outfit on board was: "A species resembling a bear will attack."

After disembarking, that species would still be present in the Sea of Creation.

So, in a sense, the ship’s precautions were also the rules for survival within the Sea of Creation.

Mo Ling followed Li Luo’s finger as it slid down the screen, continuing to read.

Once inside the Sea of Creation, because the ground was solid, they would have to proceed on foot. At that point, they would encounter more and more races, most of whom had come to the Sea of Creation to seek "divine aid."

It was a special kind of ritual. The Seekers of the Divine from these races came to the Sea of Creation to ask for a god for their people and bring it back to their tribe.

Since the ritual itself was a sacred act, most of these races would abide by the rules to avoid incurring "divine wrath" in this region.

However, the rules between races were completely different.

Some races believed that crawling on all fours was sacred.

Some races believed that wearing a hat was sacred.

Some races believed that spitting while walking was sacred.

There were even races who believed that killing was sacred...

The species and cultures within the Abyss were already diverse and wildly different; most races that came to the Sea of Creation would not interfere with the behavior of others.

But if you encountered one of the unreasonable races, it would be an unexpected disaster.

They would try to bind you with their race’s moral standards.

For example, some races considered stepping with the left foot while walking to be extremely impolite, even a filthy act. If they encountered a human, they would force the human to only step forward with their right foot.

If you listened to them and only used your right foot, there would be no conflict.

But if some stubborn person refused to accept this kind of "moral coercion," the race would cut off their left foot and then swagger away.

That was their way of reasoning.

At this point, the machine’s introduction made a human analogy:

"For this race, seeing someone step with their left foot is like a human walking down the street and seeing someone walking ahead of them who keeps farting in their direction..."
