I'm the Only Magus in This Witch World
Chapter 125: Please Give Me Some Privacy
"This is just stupid." Magna muttered, slightly annoyed, as he pulled a dagger from his waist and threw it into the dark bushes.
The person hiding there couldn’t even find the time to let out a scream of pain, as the sharp blade pierced straight through his head, killing him instantly.
Magna, using his presence sense, was walking casually through the night, casually pulling daggers from his waist and throwing them at the presences he sensed hiding here and there.
He wasn’t feeling the slightest pleasure from what he was doing, as the only thing he could feel was annoyance.
The people were dying so fast, so easily, that there was no pleasure to be felt from this pointless slaughter at all.
What unsettled him the most was that he wasn’t feeling much of anything after each life he took.
He wasn’t even thinking about whether they had families, children, loved ones waiting for them at home, whether they were good or bad people.
The only thing he did, like a robot, was throw the dagger, take the life, and keep walking to find the next one.
"The ones sending them here are stupid. They’re trading their lives for a bit of money, that’s stupid... I’m stupid." He kept muttering, not stopping his harvest of lives for even a single second.
He even found that his current build was especially good for this kind of job, as it wasn’t much different from catching and killing flying mosquitoes.
It was actually even easier than that.
He kept count after every person he killed, and when the number reached 11, he finally stopped.
He took a few more laps around the mansion’s garden, and when he found no more, he finally let out a tired sigh.
As he was heading back to the mansion, he realized Titus was already gone.
The man was either watching him from somewhere far away, out of reach of his senses, or he had already gone to his room to rest after assigning the job to him.
The head maid, Victoria, was the only one waiting at the entrance of the mansion.
"Young Lord." She greeted him, bowing her head slightly.
Magna knew why she was there and said. "All of them are dead." He also pointed out each of their locations with his finger to describe them, so their bodies could be collected.
He wanted to ask what they did with the bodies, but he held himself back, since he had no energy left to spare even for that curiosity.
"Your meal is ready in the kitchen. If you want, I can send someone to bring all your missed meals to your room." Victoria offered.
She was looking at him with quite a lot of pity in her eyes.
Magna was still a child in her eyes, but a child forced to take so many lives in one night was something she couldn’t bring herself to see as a monster. Instead, she just saw a pitiful child born into this unjust world.
"Thank you, I appreciate that." Magna had initially wanted to go to the kitchen for the meal, but he had quite lost his appetite, so eating alone in his room seemed better.

When Magna returned to his room, relieved that he could finally eat and start resting, his hope was shattered quite fast. ℴℴ𝘮
As soon as he opened the door of his room, two people greeted him.
"Magna, welcome back." Faye, lying on his bed reading a book, greeted him calmly, meanwhile munching on a cracker from a plate beside her.
She was so casual about it that Magna had to check if he’d come into the right room.
Renna was also there, currently standing in the middle of the room, her face completely red, her eyes closed. She didn’t even seem to notice that Magna had arrived, just standing there breathing in and out as if meditating.
"Why are you two here?" He asked, closing the door behind him as he stepped inside.
"To read a book." Faye answered, as if it were the most normal thing in the world, her eyes still glued to the book, taking another cracker from the plate.
Magna headed toward the bathroom, pausing to glance at her. "Can’t you read your book in your own room? Also, you’re dropping crumbs on my bed."
Faye didn’t even respond to that, acting as if she hadn’t heard him.
Renna was the same. Even as Magna passed by her on his way to the bathroom, she still seemed too focused to notice him.
’Didn’t they already go back home?’ Magna wondered if the Cinders had decided to stay one more night.
He went to the bathroom to take a quick shower, to wash off the day’s exhaustion and grime, as well as to change into clean, comfortable nightclothes.
As he left, he hoped the two would just be gone, but unfortunately that wasn’t even something he could hope for, since he could feel their presence in the room the entire time.
When he came out, there was at least one thing to be happy about, as his meal had already been delivered on a large trolley, filled with all kinds of different dishes.
"You really eat too much." Renna, having already finished her training, said, looking at all the meals on the trolley.
Magna just ignored her, sitting on his bed and pulling the trolley in front of him to start eating.
He thought that if he ignored them, maybe they would get bored or offended and leave on their own, but unfortunately it didn’t seem like that was going to happen at all.
"Do you know I lowered my bloodline trait’s activation time by 1 more second today?" Renna said cheerfully, sitting down beside him.
Meanwhile, Faye also finally set the book aside and came closer. "Today I drew on all the walls in my room, hehe."
It was at that moment Magna realized that maybe going to the Tower would be better than he thought, since at least there he might find some privacy at all.
