Chapter 472: Chapter 239: Who Says Men Are Inferior to Women?

Of the Incompleteness Tower’s Ten Greats, "Snake," "Ye," "Void," and the former "Yao," now known as the Monk, were all currently on the Disaster Prevention Bureau’s payroll. Each of the Ten Greats had their own expertise. The fact that they could secretly contend with Ye Weiyang for so many years proved their considerable skill.

The two sisters, Snake and Ye, would occasionally visit the Red King Mansion to freeload meals and build rapport. Through their back-and-forth interactions, Zheng Xiu also managed to find out the Paths the twin sisters walked.

"Snake," the one with the slender, graspable waist, walked the [Divine-Tuning Witch] Path, while her older sister "Ye," the one with the "unbearable burden," walked the [Musician] Path.

Zheng Xiu was now surrounded by countless Odd People, making his forces several times stronger than the original Zheng Clan. By uniting the Incompleteness Tower, the old guard from Ye Weiyang, and the Zheng Brothers Association, a new behemoth was born: the Darkness Disaster Prevention Bureau. Zheng Xiu was confident. Even if Zhu had lived for a thousand years, the fact that he was still in hiding meant there was something in the Imperial City he feared. If he dared to show up, Zheng Xiu was fairly certain he could keep Zhu in the city for good.

「In the blink of an eye, a few more days had passed.」

Ximen Bei, who was out gathering material, had yet to return. Zheng Xiu had people keeping an eye on him but wasn’t concerning himself with the matter for now.

There was another "wild" Mystic living in the city—the [Knife Seller], Sun Erming. The poor man’s Path Cultivation had been stuck because of the Red King for ages, unable to advance an inch. Zheng Xiu, however, found some time to meet with him.

When Zheng Xiu found Sun Erming, he was hiding in the Ministry of Justice, filthy and homeless, gobbling down leftovers from the Fragrant Pavilion. That said, these were the most expensive dishes from the Fragrant Pavilion, and they had barely been touched. Sun Erming was having the time of his life.

Sun Erming had never shown any particular strength in front of Zheng Xiu; in fact, he seemed particularly weak. But Zheng Xiu, operating on the principle of "never underestimate any Mystic," extended an olive branch. "Have you heard of the Disaster Prevention Bureau?"

Sun Erming nodded blankly, the dog-skin plaster still stuck to his face.

Zheng Xiu smiled. "If you’re willing, the position of ’Pillar’ is yours. Riches and glory will be within your grasp."

The young Knife Seller hesitated, not accepting immediately.

His Path advancement was stuck because of Zheng Xiu, making his future look bleak. He had been waiting for the Divination to come true, but unfortunately, it couldn’t be fulfilled on Zheng Xiu’s end, leaving him in a miserable state.

Zheng Xiu wasn’t in a hurry. Not long after he parted ways with Sun Erming, as the beginning of the eighth month arrived, there was finally a development in the Lu Town "child-seeking case."

It was a bright and beautiful afternoon. After the midday meal, Zheng Xiu furtively beckoned to Feng Bei. Feng Bei understood, and the two of them slipped into a room.

Zheng Xiu took off his top, revealing an increasingly lean and muscular upper body.

"Just a massage, nothing else. That should be okay, right?" Zheng Xiu pleaded earnestly. "Look, I’ve been swamped with work lately. My shoulders are heavy, my back aches... I’m completely overworked. If I collapse from exhaustion, and this part stops working, or that part stops working... you’ll be the one suffering in the future!"

Feng Bei was kind-hearted. Even though she still harbored some reservations, she hesitated for a moment before agreeing.

Zheng Xiu lay on his stomach while Feng Bei sat astride him, her hands pressing into his shoulders, waist, and back with just the right amount of pressure.

"Madam’s technique is as good as ever."

As Zheng Xiu was enjoying Feng Bei’s "full-service massage," the Eternal World Painting lit up at a most inopportune time.

Zheng Xiu checked the caller ID and answered.

"This is bad, this is bad, this is bad!"

The moment the call connected, he was hit by Xi’er’s opening thunderclap. She clutched the Eternal World Painting in a panic and shouted:

"Young Brother Xie, Young Brother Xie,"

"He’s pregnant!"

From the other side of the Eternal World Painting, besides Xi’er’s voice, came the miserable cries of a weak and helpless young man, and the cheerful laughter of Jun Buxiao.

"Hee hee hee, we’re expecting, we’re expecting! Congratulations, congratulations!"

Xi’er was in such a hurry that she didn’t immediately notice Feng Bei, who was astride Zheng Xiu giving him his "full-service massage."

The former Upper Three who killed on sight.

The Feng Bei whose hands carried an Omen.

Was gently giving the Red King his "full-service massage."

If word of this got out, it would be a major event that would shake the entire bureau.

"Who’s pregnant?"

Upon hearing this, Zheng Xiu and Feng Bei both froze.

"Mo Kuang! The one who throws up at the sight of a mantis!"

"Fuck?" The sheer amount of information was too much. It took Zheng Xiu a moment to recover. He was stunned for a second, then asked, "How did he get pregnant? No, wait, how did he end up there? No, wait, how does a man actually get pregnant?"

HSS...

’This...’

’This is so freaky.’

Zheng Xiu’s heart dropped.

Before Xi’er could explain the cause and effect, Zheng Xiu’s mind raced, and he quickly figured it out.

Jun Buxiao had been ordered to investigate the case, and he’d brought help.

Though "help" was less accurate than "mine detector."

He was old friends with Dou Xie, so he called him.

Dou Xie, naive and ignorant, was thinking about getting a promotion and a raise to prove himself, so he went along like a fool.

And the moment he got there, he got pregnant.

"Where’s Jun Buxiao?"

Xi’er replied, "He’s standing on the side, laughing!"

Zheng Xiu said with a deadpan expression, "Tell him if the person he took out dies, the death benefits will be deducted from his salary."

The cheerful laughter stopped abruptly.

Xi’er looked back blankly, then turned back. "He’s crying!"

Jun Buxiao was the kind of guy who cared about money, not people. He’d never been what you would call loyal to the former Night Lord. Such people are useful, yet also unreliable.

Xi’er briefly and concisely explained how Mo Kuang got pregnant.

It was just as Zheng Xiu had guessed. Mo Kuang hadn’t even figured out the story behind the Five Passes Temple before he confidently walked in, holding a hand-copied book.

After he got pregnant, he even tearfully recited the *Song of the Vast Righteous Qi* once, but it was useless.

"What do we do now?"

Xi’er didn’t know what to do.

This was the first time she’d ever encountered something like this. What do you do when a man gets pregnant? Xi’er was completely bewildered.

Zheng Xiu wasn’t too sure either. He hesitated. "Give birth to it?"

Xi’er was dumbfounded. "Give birth from where? Men don’t have a..."

She was about to say men don’t have "that," but on second thought, her pretty face flushed red. If you really had to say, they did have *something*. It’s unclear what she thought of, but after her face turned red, she suddenly sucked in a sharp breath.
