Chapter 532 - The Terror Continued
Jack scratched his head non-itchy when he realized his stupidity. He then grabbed the bag of cheesecake that was under his feet and gave it to Nicholas.
"Go and buy the same cheesecake, you've got an hour, Nick," Alan said quietly as he handed Nicholas the bag containing the shattered cheesecake box.
"O-okay sir, I understand."
Everyone in the place immediately looked at each other as soon as Jack came to the second floor.
"I wasn't dreaming, was I?" Noah asked quietly.
Luis snorted. "How could you dream? Do you want to feel the pain of my pinch?"
"No, it's not like that. You mean what we just saw is real?"
Erick smiled at Noah's words. "Of course, Noah, you're not dreaming."
Noah glared at Erick. "So the master is not angry, is he, even though Madam comes home late?"
"No, Noah, believe me, <aster loves his wife very much. So I think coming home late like before is not a big problem that can trigger their quarrel," Erick replied with a smile.
Noah nodded his head repeatedly after hearing Erick's words, while Luis smiled faintly in response to Erick's words. Not long after, Luis and the other maids returned to their respective activities after seeing Erick and Alice went to their rooms.
Jack, who was being ignored by Anne, could only sit on the bed when he saw Anne was drying her hair using a hairdryer.
"Come on, Anne, don't be so angry. I already apologized to you, how long are you going to ignore me?" Jack asked Anne quietly for the umpteenth time.
Anne didn't respond to Jack's words. Instead, she continued to be engrossed in her long hair. Jack took a deep breath, trying to be patient longer, even though today was a very tiring day and he wanted to rest, but Jack still chose to apologize in advance to Anne for the mistake he accidentally made. After removing a few buttons of his shirt, Jack walked over to the dressing table and stood behind Anne, who was applying skincare to her face.
"I'm very tired today, Anne, actually I want to be spoiled with you. But it turns out that you're actually angry with me like this, hmm, I've just taken a shower," said Jack slowly, looking at Anne through the mirror.
Anne turned and looked at Jack, who was standing behind her. "If you want to take a shower then go."
"I'll take a shower when you're not mad," Jack answered quickly.
"I'm not angry. Who's angry?" asked Anne curtly.
Jack chuckled. He was thrilled to see Anne's miraculous behavior. "Okay, I'll take a shower. After the shower, we'll talk. I wonder what you're doing today besides waiting in line for the cheesecake."
Anne's face immediately went pale when she heard Jack's words. She didn't want to talk about what she had done today. Jack, who didn't know what Anne was thinking, just smiled. He then grabbed Anne's forehead, gave a long kiss there before finally going to the bathroom. Unknowingly, Anne's hands clenched into fists as she remembered what had happened a few hours ago. Her hatred for the man had reached its peak now, more than her hatred when she saw him having an affair in front of her eyes. when she was thinking about that man, Anne's stomach suddenly contracted which made Anne wince in pain.
"Okay, baby... okay, Mommy won't remember that person again. Yes, let's go to sleep, Mommy is tired too," said Anne quietly to the child in her stomach with a smile. After saying that, Anne then grabbed her smart phone which was on the dressing table and walked over to the bed to sleep.
Anne played some classical music from her cell phone as a lullaby. Only five minutes after listening to the notes of her favorite beautiful melody, Anne fell asleep and forgot her cravings to eat cheesecake which she had previously wanted so badly. The warmth of the bed that was full of Jack's scent made her feel comfortable and calm, until she finally drifted off to sleep.
Shortly after Anne went to bed, Jack came out of the bathroom in his bathrobe, after getting a call from Nicholas, who had returned and was standing at his doorstep with two boxes of new cheesecakes.
"Sorry, sir, for making you wait so long," Nicholas said quietly as he handed the cheesecake to Jack.
Jack smiled. "It's okay, Nick, thanks."
"Yes, sir, is there anything else I can do sir?"
"You better get some sleep, it's quite late. Tomorrow morning, you'll go and find the missing car."
Nicholas nodded his head. He finally left Jack and returned to his room to rest. After Nicholas left, Jack then went back into the room and smiled when he saw Anne was sleeping hugging the pillow, accompanied by classical music from her cell phone.
"You're like a koala when you sleep like that, Anne," Jack muttered under his breath as he watched the way Anne slept.
Not wanting to disturb Anne, who was already very sound asleep, Jack then put the two boxes of cheesecake that Nicholas had just given to him into the mini fridge in his room. After making sure the cake that Anne wanted was safe, Jack then changed into his sleeping clothes and got ready to sleep, although actually he was very curious about what Anne was doing outside today, but because he didn't want to disturb the sleeping Anne, Jack finally chose to keep his curiosity and chose to join Anne in bed.
"Looks like you're really tired, dear, I just took a shower for a few minutes and you're already asleep right away. Good night, baby, sleep well. I love you," Jack whispered softly as he said goodnight to Anne, after landing a loving kiss on her forehead. .
Anne moved because she was annoyed by Jack's kiss, but she didn't open her eyes. She was still asleep in his dream. Suddenly, Anne approached Jack and fell asleep on Jack's chest. Seeing this, Jack just smiled. He finally closed his eyes with Anne in his arms.

A white car seemed to stop not far from the main gate of the Clarke family mansion. The driver of the car seemed to be smiling broadly. In his hands now there was a cell phone that contained a lot of interesting things that would be able to make Jack furious.
"Okay, after this we just need to wait for the results. I'm sorry, dear, I had to do this. Since this is the only way to bring you back to me, I promise after this, we will live happily ever after without anyone interfering with our happiness again."
Simultaneously, a new email came to Jack's email, an email sent by the same person with different content.
