I'll Surpass The MC

Chapter 997: Roshmon

Chapter 997: Roshmon

“Okay, I’ll try.” Inala said as he turned his right hand into Rutham and his left into Millanir.

Mystic Sumatra Art—Secondary Refinement!

His left hand turned into a Tangible Millinger and fused with his body, offering him an extra layer of protection. He was done with the basic level of preparation, following which he stared into the crater.

“One piece of advice…” Loya thought for a moment before shaking her head, “No, you’ll understand once you face it.”

“Now, I am curious.” Muttering as such, Inala leapt into the crater. His Rutham right hand detached itself from him and flew towards the wall as a Spirit Weapon and grabbed it. The stream of psychokinesis trailing from it held Inala’s body in the air.

His right hand regrew as another Rutham hand as Inala was now in the air, casually descending into the crater. The stream of psychokinesis from his Rutham Spirit Weapon gave him a range of 1.8 kilometres, which was a considerable amount.

Curious, Inala descended deeper, watching his surroundings go dark while the humidity of his surroundings continued to increase. He eyed the rocky texture of the crater as he proceeded deeper, ’There are no traces for the time being.’

But with a Spirit Weapon range of 1.8 kilometres, he was bound to detect his enemy before the latter could sense his approach. Soon, he spotted an existence semi-immersed in the water at the bottom of the crater.

This water was directly connected to the Mrutch Sea. As a result, the bottom of the crater was covered by Krave Fil. Licking it casually was the creature in question, resembling a feline at first glance.

Reaching a length of 18 metres and a height of ten metres was this feline, closely resembling a tiger. The only difference between it and a tiger, apart from its larger body was its face, which resembled the depictions of a demonic tiger from oriental cultures.

The face was huge, littered with facial plates that resembled stone and a rigid mouth that could only part in four ways like an animatronic.

The tail was fluffy, reaching a length of 12 metres. Its sole purpose was to act as a counterbalance when the creature moved.

As Inala descended, his Prana detection means sensed the creature’s presence, immediately causing Inala’s eyes to widen in surprise, which spontaneously curled into excitement. After all, the moment his Prana detection means sensed the latter, the other party was able to trace the Prana Inala had released.

It couldn’t sense where he was, since he was outside its Spirit Weapon Range. However, it was alerted, “Meowrrr!”

Its feline eyes scouted its surroundings and peered into the water, failing to detect any existence that could garner its attention. It then poised its head upwards, staring through the crater towards the top.

Prana exploded out of its body as its figure vanished, reappearing behind Inala to clamp upon the latter.

Mutated Advanced Gold Grade Pranic Beast—Roshmon!

It had yellowish-pink stripes that coated its majestic fur, accentuating its deep-blue whiskers that trembled in response to foreign presence and Prana traces. As it moved, its padded feet made hardly any sound, even for a Brully’s senses.

Opening its mouth wide, it clamped upon Inala, surprised to see the latter move in an unnatural fashion in the air to pull himself out of its biting range.

It stared at the speed Inala was able to move in the air and perched on the walls of the crater. Its claws revealed themselves and dug into the wall, providing it the necessary grip. Calmly, it analysed its prey.

With a Prana capacity of 7170 at maturity and a lifespan of 1740 years, the Roshmon was an endangered species on Sumatra. There was only a handful of its kind left, and they were located exclusively in the Stromar Cliff.

There used to be more of them in the past, but the regions they lived in unfortunately became invasion zones for the Mudroppers. The Roshmon Race was one of the many powerful Races that suffered a devastating blow from the Mudropper Invasion.

Most of their habitats were destroyed by the Mudroppers. It happened during Renduldu’s era. And even though he, alongside the Mammoth Ancestor, worked on rebuilding the destroyed habitats, the damage was too great by the time they gained enough strength to focus on recovery.

The Mammoth Ancestor’s Dance of Recovery, activated after equipping Mudropper Nature Weapons, alongside the Gold Empyrean Tentacle’s Nature of Thought Condensation still couldn’t rebuild the destroyed regions to their full potential.

These rebuilt regions were enough for weaker Pranic Beasts, but couldn’t sustain the resource requirements of the Rochmon. Even though a Roshmon had a small size as compared to the typical Gold Grade Pranic Beasts, it had a voracious appetite.

And that meant the regions it could live at dwindled until eventually, the Stromar Cliff was the only place.

Around thirteen millennia had passed since the Mudropper Invasion. The Roshmon Race hadn’t recovered from that yet. Their numbers might be lacking. However, their strength wasn’t.

The Roshmon leapt towards Inala to bite again, its eyes calmly observing the latter evade with superior speed. It didn’t do anything apart from that and coolly landed on the walls, letting out a soft purr.

“Eh? Ehhhh…!” Inala was stunned as suddenly, a mysterious force propelled him into the walls of the crater, slamming him with an impact strong enough to crack his skeleton. If not for the Tangible Millinger fused with his body, he would have sustained some serious injuries from that attack.

’I see,’ Inala understood the type of creature he was facing and quickly bolted to the top of the mountain, ’It’s indeed a troublesome opponent.’

Primary Nature—Infused Kinesis Touch!

The Roshmon was capable of infusing Prana imbued with the power of psychokinesis into any target within its Spirit Weapon Range and propel them like a Spirit Weapon.

They could only be controlled while within its Spirit Weapon Range. Once they crossed it, the target was propelled by the infused psychokinesis until it ran out.

This power allowed the Roshmon to swat its target into the ground, walls, or anywhere it pleased until the latter turned into a splattered mush.

A Roshmon had enough power of psychokinesis to even propel away an Empyrean Tusk by a whole metre.

A metre didn’t seem much when compared to an Empyrean Tusk’s colossal size. However, the fact that a Roshmon was able to move the heaviest being on Sumatra by a metre through psychokinesis alone was a statement to its power.

“Tch!” Inala found himself being slammed into the walls once again.

Mystic Sumatra Art—Regeneration Affinity!

His most pressing injuries healed as he pulled himself using his string of psychokinesis. ’If it can propel any object using psychokinesis, then the best bet against it is my range.’

Without hesitation, Inala launched his Rutham hand towards the Roshmon. Even if the Roshmon could propel it away, the moment it leaves its spirit Weapon range, Inala could redirect it back into the Roshmon.

Moreover, this time, its momentum would also be boosted by the propulsion added to it by Infused Kinesis Touch.

After the first attack, Inala understood the workings of Infused Kinesis Touch. But after the second attack, he figured out a counter, turning the Roshmon’s strength against itself.

However, when the Rutham hand slammed into the Roshmon, the latter’s body glowed. And then, with the propulsion of Infused Kinesis Touch, it homed toward him.

“Urgh!” Inala felt a severe strain in his Spirit Container as the Rutham hand hit him on the chest, against his means to regain control over it.

Secondary Nature—Inherent Recoil!

It allowed the Roshmon to redirect and lock the target’s Spirit Weapon back on them. That’s why Inala’s Rutham hand targeted him. And in that moment, his Spirit Container suffered a strain because his Prana was used to control the Spirit Weapon.

Enough Prana with the power of Inherent Recoil had been poured into the Rutham Spirit Weapon to prevent Inala from regaining control over his Spirit Weapon in a short while. And within that duration, the Rutham hand hit him.

Rumble!

Loya watched from beside the crater as she heard sounds of collisions echoing from within. “They have started to fight.”

“Do you think he would lose?” Shuwrak Zahara asked as he got ready to join the fight.

“That’s Leukeu we’re talking about. He has all of our strengths, plus a Major Treasure to support him.” Loya rolled her eyes, staring at Shuwrak Zahara to wonder how the latter could even think Inala would lose. “However…”

She chuckled, “He will be embarrassed at the start…”

She hadn’t even finished her sentence when Inala’s figure was sent flying out of the crater.

Inala crashed into the stone floor with a soft thud and couched out blood. There was a clear dent on his chest, with its indentation resembling his fist perfectly. Inala grabbed the Rutham arm that had punched him on the chest and reabsorbed its Rutham.

He reverted his Millanir arm, causing the Tangible Millinger to vanish. Now, both his arms were made out of Rutham. He got up with a groan and noticed Loya nearby, only then realising that he had been sent flying out.

“Pfft!” Loya burst into laughter and hurriedly shut her mouth. But she did her best to ensure Inala felt embarrassed, “You were punched in the face by your own fist.”

“Chest,” Inala corrected her and got up. His injuries recovered spontaneously as he bumped his Rutham fists into each other and walked towards the crater. “You know…”

“I never knew such an interesting creature existed, in this place at that.” His lips curled up in excitement as his fists continued to bump into each other, steadily becoming more frequent until soon, thunderous echoes blasted from his position as the centre, ’It has two Natures, so it didn’t have to fear being consumed.’

’But still, it hid itself to not be discovered by Brangara.’ His feet brushed against the ground, and Inala broke into a sprint, laughing as he leapt into the crater, “It’s you!”

“You’ll make a fine mount!”
