Chapter 972: Geographical Superiority of the Sanrey Plains
Chapter 972: Geographical Superiority of the Sanrey Plains
Advanced Silver Grade Pranic Beast—Rooted Clam!
Primary Nature—Pearl Embrace!
All the creatures in the vicinity of the pearls secreted by the Rooted Clam will have influenced behaviour traits. These traits vary from feeling an intense sense of security to even turning nocturnal, when they were otherwise. That was the function of Pearl Embrace.
It gradually influenced the targets into having specific behavioural traits. Gannala only had one motive to attain through Pearl Embrace—she wanted the Pranic Beast groups being lured to the mountain ranges and its foothills to consider the region their home.
As long as the Empyrean Megatrice feels the mountain range to be its home, it will do everything in its power to protect the place, never leaving it. This was a necessity, for the mountain ranges were a camouflage.
Gannala intended to raise the height of the mountain range as high as possible. That way, majority of the peak would be veiled by clouds, which would be blocked from going forward. Instead, these clouds would develop in height, fully masking the region.
Even from afar, when one stared in this direction, they would only see the clouds, and not the curtain of night behind it.
Within the mountain range would be the Sandy-Grey Void border, the new one that Gannala planned to create. In terms of area, the Sanrey Plains was being expanded to a multiple of around eighteen times.
The mountain range itself would cover the sight of most creatures, preventing them from seeing beyond. The clouds would further mask the existence of the curtain of night, as the visibility drop in the sky was enough to fully hide it out.
This way, the Sanrey Plains would truly become a hidden paradise.
“It’s a massive range,” Inala exclaimed, “It won’t be easy even for an Empyrean Megatrice to defend the place properly.”
“I’m planning to introduce around 400 of them.” Gannala said, shocking Inala with her statement.
“400?” Inala gawked and stared at her as if she were insane, “They are not cattle that you can casually spam…oh.”
“My bad,” Inala scratched his cheek with a wry smile, “That’s why you’re making an Empyrean Megatrice Transformation first.”
“Yes,” Gannala nodded, “The Empyrean Megatrice that had evolved here is under my control. After a lot of effort, it managed to spawn two eggs. I gave the first one to Yoribu and have been safekeeping the second.”
“Now, I’ll just give it to my Clansman and quickly follow the process to create the Nature Weapon.” She then drew the line of the completed mountain range on the table and marked its inner border with the new Sandy-Grey Void border.
It was no longer a circle, and hence, she called it a border. There was a flat grassland stretching two kilometres wide between the foot of the mountain range and the Sandy-Grey Void, “It’s just some space to prevent any accidents. Also,”
She seemed to be having fun, “When I have enough Empyrean Tusks and they wish to have a stroll, they can run through this patch and circle around the Sanrey Plains. It’s not only safe, they also won’t have to worry about being discovered. The mountain range will fully hide their bodies and all sounds of their activities.”
The mountain range will have a minimum altitude of eight kilometres, have a base thickness of anywhere between twenty to thirty kilometres. This was such a robust barrier that even if a mature group of Empyrean Tusks were to jump around like toddlers on the other side, nothing would be felt past the mountain range.
“I’ll be equipping myself on the Mature Empyrean Megatrice and then personally go around to make the mountain range.” Gannala said, “I’ll swap its Tertiary Nature slot between Kinesis Deity and Subtle Terrain Domination as I go around reinforcing the mountain range to the absolute limit.”
With her biomes full and constantly generating Prana, Gannala could constantly keep creating the mountain range through the Empyrean Megatrice’s Primary Nature of Hilly Intimidation. She would then use Subtle Terrain Domination to crank the range’s density and structural composition to the maximum possible level.
She would integrate the mountain range into the terrain and ensure it appeared no different from a natural terrain. By connecting the roots of the mountains to any underground lava chambers, water streams, etc. she’ll perfect the place.
With that, the geothermal activity would sustain the place over time and cause all her arrangements to thrive. It was impossible to create such a region without Subtle Terrain Domination.
“You…would need a lot of wealth to finish it,” Inala said, feeling a headache as he began to estimate the costs.
Gannala had to create a mountain range by scratch, which needed whopping sums of Prana. She then had to rear a city’s worth of people, turn them into Empyrean Megatrices, and wait until 400 of them fully become the respective Pranic Beast and gain its Primary Nature.
For that to happen, they had to live as an Empyrean Megatrice. This was accompanied by an astronomical sum of food resources. Gannala also had to take measures to prevent these Empyrean Megatrices from leaving, which they could thanks to their digging and jumping capabilities.
After they succeed in becoming Pranic Beasts, they had to be planted across the mountain range, and then be subjected to the effects of Pearl Embrace until they considered the place their home. This had to be done while ensuring the mountain range and its foothills become regions capable of sustaining life naturally, without requiring her intervention.
The various Pranic Beast groups, their habitats, and their interactions with various other groups; Gannala had to calculate, control and finalise everything so that the food cycle works without issues and was robust enough to withstand any external intervention.
Gannala had to do all this while also working on her existing tasks.
The Sanrey Plains was fully protected by the Sandy-Grey Void Ring. However, the Angan River was a weakness, as it was connected to the Red-Draft River.
The presence of the Slump Lizards in it and the billions of pearls released by the Rooted Clam at the riverbed prevented any external influence into the Angan River from the Red-Draft River.
Now that Gannala was expanding the Sanrey Plains, she had to repeat the same to the Angan River that stretched beyond the current Sandy-Grey Void Ring.
“I think you have too much on your plate.” Inala commented, “Isn’t this place just your temporary experimental place until you reach the Mystic Grade? Why are you thinking long-term for the region?”
“It’ll be my base even in the future.” Gannala said, “I…want a place to return to at the end of the day. And once I enter the Mystic Grade, I’ll camouflage myself to live among the masses. No one will know I exist and my public identity wouldn’t be anyone special.”
“Most of these nests will be destroyed in the future once they have served their purpose.” Gannala said, “And I will rebuild a powerful Empire in its place, one that I needn’t worry about, one that is as robust as the Brimgan Empire, and one where I could seek refuge in once things get dangerous.”
“You’ll evolve during the Fourth Major Disaster.” Inala sighed as he made eye contact with his daughter, “The Invasion will begin the moment the Seat of Transcendence reveals itself.”
“Something like the Mudropper Invasion will happen before the Continental Invasion.” Inala groaned.
“Seriously?” Gannala grumbled in response, “We have to worry about that before those Continental Invaders?”
“Well, yeah.” Inala sighed, “When I went out of Sumatra for an hour, there were two Cosmic Beings. They had been attracted by Brangara. And based on what I observed, even more were on their way.”
“They are only attacking casually since Brangara used Unlimited Predator and didn’t shoot his pillar of light into the sky.” Inala explained, “The Seat of Transcendence, however, will be shooting its pillar of light into the sky. That will rile up the Cosmic Beings.”
“And if their body parts were to fall on Sumatra and get assimilated, a new invasion will begin.” Inala expressed his worry as he grabbed his daughter’s hands in worry, “You won’t have time to build an Empire after reaching the Mystic Grade. Too many enemies would appear at your doorstep one after another.”
“Dad, I think you’re mistaken about two things.” Gannala said after some thought, “First, I’m not building an Empire from scratch.”
She patted herself, “The beings who will live in that Empire are already in me. They are part of my immune system. And when I evolve, so will they, becoming a new Clan. They will simply be relocated to take root here, that’s all.”
“I have been accumulating energy in the form of Parute Fruits, Prana Bombs, Elixirs, and even Biome Bombs so that the new Clan will have enough energy to build, stability, and establish themselves as an Empire. They’ll have enough energy to do everything they require.”
There will be new requirements on what type of existence the new Clan would be. Hence, by having enough energy resources, they’ll be ready. Any other resource may or may not be relevant. Only after evolution could that be determined. Hence, having energy storage was the safest bet.
“Second,” Gannala chuckled, “Why do you think I set up base here? I have a Mudropper with me, so I could create a terrain protected by the Sandy-Grey Void anywhere I please on Sumatra. But I chose here for a reason.”
The two entry points into this part of Sumatra Continent were the Varahan Enclave and Gaja Enclave. The Varahan Enclave had the Wean Clan and Varahan Empire to defend the place. With their pace of growth, they’ll only get more and more ridiculously powerful.
On the other side was the Gaja Enclave, which was currently being developed as a joint investment between the Quip Clan and Wally. It too would become a formidable place by the Fourth Major Disaster, since the Quip Clan will fortify the place and completely turn the Enclave into their base.
Bordering the Sanrey Plains were the Guna Caves. Right on its other side was the Dralh Sea where the Mystic Humans lived.
Farther from there was the majestic Brimgan Empire.
“If we consider this part as Sumatra’s head, the Varahan and Gaja Enclaves are on the hair.” Gannala smirked, “The Brimgan Empire is probably positioned around the mouth. We can consider one ear to be the Dralh Sea. Extending from it is the Cooter Clan. The other ear can be the Dieng Canyon,”
She said with a grin, “And that’s the Quip Clan’s territory.”
“You see my point now, Dad?” Gannala chuckled, “In this example, the Sanrey Plains is positioned around the nose. We’re literally protected by the strongest forces on Sumatra and are pretty hidden from view too.”
“If an enemy manages to reach this place, that would already imply Sumatra’s defeat.” She concluded, “This is by far the safest, most protected place on this Continent.”
