I'll Surpass The MC

Chapter 957: I Can’t Fail, Even If I Want To

Chapter 957: I Can’t Fail, Even If I Want To

The trio of Inala, Loya, and Shuwrak Zahara walked through the Varahan Empire, traversing in the gaps between cities. They mostly had a free rein, as most of the Varahan Empire’s attention was placed on the battlefield.

Internal security was limited to the cities, making the open region somewhat free for the trio to traverse.

Lying sprawled on Inala’s shoulder was the Knell Clansman, still unconscious. The rapid changes he had experienced placed a tremendous strain on his body, mind, and soul. It would take a while before his Prana mends everything. Only then would he regain consciousness.

While the trio moved without issues, a Free Human tailed them from two kilometres away. The Free Human had a Silver Grade Vara Human Avatar, and only a Primary Nature, as he was captured long before the Varahan Challenge had started.

Blessed Influence—Stealth!

Equipped on its Secondary Nature slot was Gannala, having targeted this Free Human specifically for his steal capabilities. The Blessed Nature of Stealth was pretty effective, which was how she managed to tail Inala without being detected by the latter.

The moment Inala charged at her and wasn’t subjected to the influence of her Dance of Annihilation, Gannala was intrigued, in more ways than one. Currently, she was collecting Nature Weapons of every single existence she deemed interesting. A Brully was definitely one among them.

’That’s Yarsha Zahara’s brother. He’s accompanied by the Brully and Panger. There’s also that Knell Clansman.’ She thought, analysing the situation. She had the Gold Grade Grim Knell in her possession, whose value needn’t be stated.

It was the only one of its kind on Sumatra. Once she returned to her base at the Sanrey Plains, she would focus on making the Grim Knell birth more of its kind. She had more than enough means to fully place it under her control.

The only one to date that escaped from her control was Ruvva. That was only because she was a Mystic Human, with a resistance to external influences absurdly potent even from a Mystic Human standpoint.

’Besides, this trip to the Varahan Empire paid off tremendously!’ She chuckled while tailing Inala.

It didn’t take long for Gannala to infiltrate the Varahan Palace. Most of Yarsha Zahara’s defensive arrangements against a Weaponisation user were either outdated or had lost their effect. So, even without much preparation, she could coolly make her way to find Narkahamy.

Of course, she never revealed her true identity, but instead had already prepared a cover. She selected the Empyrean Boar from her farm who had been the most influenced by the transformation and equipped herself onto his Nature slot.

Following that, she exerted her influence to take complete control over the body.

Prime Skill—Brangara!

Prime Skill—Virala!

It reshaped the man’s body to resemble a mix between the two individuals, which created the perfect cover for her—Loot!

The one who interacted with Narkahamy was Loot. There was already enough infamy involved with the name, making it easy for her to interact through the identity.

With her assistance, Narkahamy achieved what he wanted. He received a large number of Slump Lizards and a large volume of information, especially that of Empyrean Boars.

Prime Skill—Empyrean Extraction!

Through it, Gannala obtained the data of both Wean Clansmen and the Empyrean Boars she was raising. She had supplied this data to Narkahamy, which allowed him to succeed in completing his scheme.

In return, she obtained one of YoriBuntara’s bodies.

Primary Nature—Boar King Transformation!

In human form, a Wean Clansman only had their Primary Nature. YoriBuntara’s Secondary and Tertiary Natures appeared only after she transformed. That meant she could be turned into a Nature Weapon when in human form.

Basically, Gannala obtained the most valuable Nature for her plans. Thanks to Ruvva, she already had a Bone Slip containing Mystic Nature Art. She avoided accessing it, having been warned of all dangers by Ruvva.

It was she who gave the information to YoriBuntara and assisted in the latter’s transitioning into a Mystic Human.

In the Sanrey Plains, Gannala reared in a small compound a population of Free Humans less than a hundred. Some of them were given Mystic Nature Art, in hopes at least one of them would succeed.

Primary Nature—Astral Weaponiser!

Gannala wanted this Nature, for with it, she would have all the ingredients necessary to obtain a Nature Weapon with the Primary Nature of Boar King Transformation.

By equipping it onto Free Humans at the Spirit Stage, she could transform them into Boar Kings. As long as they remain as such for a long enough time, the body would keep influencing them until they obtain the Primary Nature of Voracious Nature and the Secondary Nature of Astral Chart.

With it, her plans of obtaining Internal Astral Cultivator would become easier. She already was confident in succeeding using Empyrean Boars alone. But with Boar Kings, she couldn’t fail, even if she wanted to.

That wasn’t all. Once the Boar Kings have children, there was a very small window before they were born where they were in egg state. At that moment, Gannala would have Mammoth Clansmen fuse with the eggs and obtain the power of the Boar King for themselves.

And then, she would make them mate with Mammoth Clansmen at the Spirit Stage to employ the usage of the Skill of Primary Extortion.

She would then gain Mammoth Clansmen with only the Nature of Astral Chart, which she’ll turn into Nature Weapons. It didn’t matter if Astral Chart was at the Gold Grade, for she would soon have Internal Astral Cultivator.

Once she had accumulated around eighty Nature Weapons of Astral Chart, she could use Internal Astral Cultivator and gain the Mystic Grade Nature of Astral Chart. With it, she would become an unstoppable existence.

Basically, the sheer greed that Virala once exhibited, it was Gannala’s reality. And she could casually exceed it, for her accumulations were increasing at an exponential rate.

That wasn’t all. Once she had enough Nature Weapons of Astral Weaponiser, Gannala intended to experiment with it.

Using the Skill of Nature Weapon Assimilation by equipping herself onto the Nature slot of a Mudropper, Gannala intended to fuse Astral Weaponiser with Empyrean Boar Transformation alongside a Pranic Beast of her choice, so that she could obtain the respective Pranic Beast’s transformation.

Once succeeded, she could transform Free Humans into the respective Pranic Beast. And once they remain as such for a long enough duration, they’d gain the Pranic Beast’s Natures. There was no need for her to make it for regular Pranic Beasts, since she could farm them on Sumatra.

Gannala intended to use it only on extremely rare Mutated Pranic Beasts, such as a Bhirully. She had nothing to worry about, for there were too few existences that could threaten her.

Only the Brood Mother in the Kalahatra Desert was an actual threat to her life. But she had already confirmed through Ruvva that Brood Mother wouldn’t be revealing herself anytime soon. That left three existences with Mystic Grade strength.

First among them was Blola, who individually was never an issue, since he was busy preparing for the Continent Invasion and amassing an army for the cause. His primary weapon was Barla, whom he was busy training to be Sumatra’s ultimate spear.

It would take a while for Barla’s Astral Chart to be equipped with the hundred Natures necessary to unleash Astral Puncture. Without it, Barla wasn’t a threat to Gannala.

Nature Weapon—Tunnel!

It was a Mystic Grade Nature Weapon, which Gannala had been using the most to travel. She could currently activate it with such speeds and fall into the ground, that to most existences, it looked like she disappeared.

Therefore, the moment she notices Barla, she would have escaped from the region in the blink of an eye.

The second Mystic Grade existence that could threaten her was Boul Brimgan. But he was dying and had too many responsibilities, including leaving behind a successor to lead the Brimgan Empire through the Continental Invasion.

Therefore, he wouldn’t be appearing out of the Brimgan Empire. The third existence with Mystic Grade strength was Virala, who was in a maddened state. His main body was confined in the Dralh Sea while his second body was in Ruvva’s stomach.

As for Ruvva, even though she was powerful, she wasn’t Gannala’s match. Therefore, there truly wasn’t anyone who could seriously threaten Gannala, especially when she moved stealthily and didn’t leave behind any traces.

Even when she interacted with someone, it was through a false identity, with the method of interaction always being different. She exercised the utmost caution, because at the end of the day, Inala fought in the Third Major Disaster to make her free.

As such, she had zero intentions to render his sacrifice useless.

She only had to live in hiding for a few more decades. Once the Fourth Major Disaster starts, she’ll evolve into a whole new existence, no longer being related to the Mammoth Clan’s Gannala.

Gannala wasn’t content in simply entering Mystic Grade. After all, her current self already had Mystic Grade strength, thanks to her Secondary Nature of Weaponisation being a Mystic Grade Nature, which through Internal Derivative Refiner, she could change into various Mystic Grade Natures belonging to the Mammoth Clan.

She intended to be a powerhouse even among Mystic Grade existences. The least she aimed at was Expert Mystic Grade status. Currently, she was accumulating everything in her means to go beyond, and possibly attain that absurd status—the prefix of Celestial.

Of course, to reach it, her three Natures must be at the peak of the Mystic Grade, and capable of attaining a State of Unity. That meant one of the Natures should be that of a Major Treasure.

That didn’t seem realistic, no matter how much she pondered, since she already had the Mammoth Clan. So, the evolutionary benefit didn’t exist for her. Moreover, unlike Brangara who was already a Mystic Grade existence, Gannala was an Expert Gold Grade existence.

Therefore, even if Celestial status didn’t seem possible, Gannala intended to reach as close as possible to it. But most of all, even if she couldn’t reach that, she intended to keep an accumulative build with versatile capabilities, similar to her Mystic Grade Weaponisation.

Because once she accumulated the Nature Weapons of Astral Weaponiser and Mudropper, there was no stopping her.

She intended to retain that potential, for that suited her mindset the best, ’Sumatra isn’t one for survival of the strong, but survival of the fittest.’

’The fact that Brangara, despite all his power, lost to Dad speaks volumes.’ She was Inala’s daughter and enjoyed the advantages of inheriting his mentality. And hence, she planned to sharpen her tools to take further advantage of her birthright.

’Those three are heading to witness the Empyrean Snappers in action.’ Gannala grinned in excitement, ’I already have enough Nature Weapons of Subtle Terrain Domination, but they were extracted from Dad’s Empyrean Zingers. It would be nice to get an Empyrean Snapper too.’
