Chapter 955: Spectral Boar
Chapter 955: Spectral Boar
Binkn Megacity!
FyorBuntara returned to the central station of the city, resuming his work since the Wean Clan was preparing for war. He had dispatched an army of Forest Boars to hunt the body of Yoribu heading to the Dralh Sea.
He wasn’t sure how well a group of Forest Boars would fare against Yoribu. They didn’t have any semblance of teamwork, were young and inexperienced, but most of all, were a new race. Therefore, they were still figuring out how to use their inborn strength.
FyorBuntara had no idea how strong Yoribu was, but if she had been trained by Narkahamy, she would be powerful, dangerously so. That was his opinion, and hence, he wasn’t expecting much from the Forest Boars.
Even if that body of Yoribu were to be killed, the main individual was in the Varahan Palace, extremely secure and with a 3-Life Stage cultivation. She only has to stealthily send another body to establish contact with the Dralh Sea’s Mystic Human Council.
There was no way to stop that, so FyorBuntara intended to focus on the more important matters.
Forest Boars, Murky Boars, and Heavy Boars; three variants had arrived. Among them, only Forest Boars were publicly known, as they rampaged around the Kalahatra Desert the most.
Murky Boars and Heavy Boars seldom made an appearance and hence were less known. But information about them was still available with select forces who had occupied a significant area at the Kalahatra Desert’s Border.
The Dralh Sea’s alliance of Gold Grade Pranic Beasts, Quip Clan, Mystic Humans, and obviously the Brimgan Empire, many forces were aware of these variants.
However, the one FyorBuntara was anticipating was a new variant that had just started to appear in the past two years. At most one of them was birthed for every ten thousand Forest Boars.
The railway had been designed specifically for them, accommodating them with extreme care. As FyorBuntara waited patiently, the railway arrived soon, sporting only four carriages, apart from the one with the drivers.
Each compartment spanned a length of 200 metres, bursting at the seams. Similar to the pose a human made when diving into water, a humanoid creature was visible in the compartment.
Upon arriving at the station, the compartment exploded as four figures rolled onto the platform, groaning in exhaustion, “I’m never doing that ever again!”
“Greetings!” FyorBuntara stepped forward and introduced himself, “I am FyorBuntara, one of the Elders of the Wean Clan. I welcome you to Binkn City.”
“Ah,” One of the newcomers lifted its head, analysed the presence radiating out of FyorBuntara and commented, “An Empyrean Boar isn’t anything special, huh?”
“It seems only the Boar King is a true powerhouse.” It commented with a hint of ridicule.
FyorBuntara frowned in response but controlled himself, as the existences before him truly had a reason to be arrogant, especially before him, ’It seems they are respectful only towards Leader.’
Advanced Gold Grade Pranic Beast—Spectral Boar!
With a Prana capacity of 7100 and a lifespan of 1690 years, the Spectral Boar race was one of the most dangerous existences birthed by the Brood Mother. Moreover, unlike the other variants, they could instinctively perceive their connection to the Brood Mother.
The Brood Mother had no control over the creatures it spawned. It could command them, but whether or not to heed the command was entirely up to the spawn. However, the spawn could never harm her. That was a fact.
And the Spectral Boars perceived that fact, understanding the sheer danger of the creature trapped in the centre of the Kalahatra Desert.
The Second Calamity!
A Spectral Boar had an Empyrean Boar’s head atop a humanoid body, reaching a whopping height of 220 metres. It had two pairs of arms, with sharp tusks peeking out of the elbow and a U-shaped tusk parallel to the hand. This tusk doubled as both a guard to the hand and an offensive weapon, since its edges extended beyond the wrist.
It had human hands, but the fingertips had curved tusks, only meant for clobbering prey. One of its scariest traits was the extra pair of eyes attached onto the back of its ears. The ears were like a cat’s, able to turn around.
This allowed the eyes to survey its surroundings without the head having to ever turn. This was one of the Celestial Boar’s physical traits. And another scary trait it inherited was the flexible arm socket of the Celestial Boar.
The arms could freely move around both the front and back of the body, granting the Spectral Boar no physical weaknesses. And its power further gave it an edge.
Primary Nature—Internal Tangible Cultivator!
It allowed the Spectral Boar to spawn a Tangible Nature of whatever creature it consumed. Once selected by the Nature, the consumed target would spawn within the stomach as a Tangible Nature. They were similar to the Tangible Natures used by the Celestial Boar, but with a difference.
Brangara’s Tangible Natures were a mirror image of their real counterparts, having both their personality and memories. The only difference was the fact that they were now subjected to Astral World’s influence and became subservient to Brangara. Also, once activated and deactivated, they disappeared.
The Tangible Nature of a Spectral Boar didn’t vanish upon activation. It was like Shuwrak Zahara’s Tangible Millinger. However, it retained no information of the source, neither memories nor any character.
Once the creature was consumed after the Nature of Internal Tangible Cultivator was activated, the Tangible Nature was born as a baby in the stomach. It would have to be nurtured by the Spectral Boar, and the Tangible Nature’s growth speed mirrored the original.
So, if its Tangible Nature were to be killed, the decades or even centuries spent in its nurturing went to waste. However, that was in case the Tangible Nature originated from a Pranic Beast.
If the Spectral Boar consumed a Free Human, then the Tangible Nature could be nurtured through the Life Stage. Meaning, even if the Tangible Nature dies, it would only lose one of its bodies. The loss wouldn’t be as severe as in the case of nurturing a Tangible Nature of a Pranic Beast.
Moreover, if the Free Human Tangible Nature was nurtured to 10-Life Stage, then the Spectral Boar could attempt to turn it into a Tangible Nature Minor Treasure. Of course, the success rate was abysmal, less than what the original Free Human would have at the 10-Life Stage.
Maybe a genius of their kind could one day reach that point and create a virtuous cycle by leaving behind the Tangible Nature Minor Treasure upon death. With gradual accumulation, the Spectral Boar Race would amass a tremendous fortune.
“I will escort you out now,” FyorBuntara said as he watched the four Spectral Boars ignore him and huddle together for a discussion. ’These…bastards!’
He was angry, intending to teach the group a lesson. However, he refrained from taking action. As physically, a Spectral Boar was strong, able to go toe-to-toe against a Millinger.
And their Nature gave them a powerful advantage. Fighting one would result in a two-on-one battle, as the Spectral Boar would bring out its Tangible Nature. Based on what KalTara said, the leader of the group had a Tangible Nature of Millinger, making it extremely dangerous.
Internal Tangible Cultivator was only effective on beings with one Nature. But this Spectral Boar somehow managed to mutate the Tangible Centinger it was nurturing in its body. That’s how it gained the status as the leader of the group, as no other Spectral Boar was able to achieve the same.
Tangible Natures could fuse with the body. That was their biggest advantage. So, by fusing the Tangible Millinger with its body, the Spectral Boar could unleash both Natures of the Millinger.
If they were to fight here, even though FyorBuntara was confident in winning, the station and a portion of Binkn City would be destroyed in the process. As a result, he had to control himself for the time being and patiently observe the quartet before him.
Ten minutes later, the Spectral Boar that seemed to be the leader of the group walked forward, stared down on the figure of FyorBuntara who seemed minuscule before it and addressed, “We will cooperate with the Wean Clan. But first, we need to discuss a few matters with KalTara.”
“…alright,” FyorBuntara clicked his tongue and didn’t argue. Knowing very well that only KalTara could control these arrogant Pranic Beasts, he led the group out of the railway station and soon brought them to an open ground, having already transmitted a message beforehand.
When the group arrived at the open ground, a bloody figure was already waiting for them. It was KalTara, his presence flaring off as powerful pulses from time to time, showing his agitated state.
Whenever KalTara entered the battlefield, as usual, he was ganged up by the enemies. Therefore, he constantly slaughtered through the opponents until he became too exhausted and had to retreat. The moment he retreated, the Wean Clan’s strength fell by a lot, causing them to be overwhelmed by the Varahan Empire whose population dwarfed them by many times.
“You wanted to talk?” KalTara was seated on the ground, stretching his aching limbs while he used a towel to wipe the blood and grime covering his body. The sheer presence fluctuations emanating from him intimidated the Spectral Boars, so much so that they instinctively began to tremble.
Predator!
A glance at KalTara and they realised the status difference between the two sides, ’He’s significantly stronger than the last time we spoke.’
Post battle with Narkahamy, KalTara had improved by leaps and bounds to such extents he didn’t even have enough time to explore all the possibilities. That was how powerfully enlightening the battle was, enough to make him regret, ’It would have been wonderful if I could fight you again in the future.’
Of course, that was just his greed talking. In truth, he absolutely didn’t wish to face Narkahamy ever again, which was why he went in for the kill. After all, there was no guarantee he would emerge victorious in all fights against Narkahamy.
“Go on, speak.” KalTara asserted himself as he stared at the Spectral Boars, “What do you want?”
“This is all of us that are on board with your plan.” The leading Spectral Boar said as it pointed at its group, “The remainder intend to stay at the Kalahatra Desert and remain themselves.”
“Only the four of you wish to become part of the Wean Clan?” KalTara frowned for a moment before accepting, “That’s alright. Four is plenty enough.”
’Even one is enough. Adding more only makes it faster to increase their numbers.’ KalTara thought. The Wean Clan already had a method to incorporate all the variants to be part of the Wean Clan.
There was a loud boom from beyond Binkn City as KalTara got up spontaneously. He paused for a moment and stared at the Spectral Boars, “Do you want to take part in the fight?”
“No, we have yet to adjust to this place.” The leader of the Spectral Boars uttered, having yet to learn Mystic Sumatra Art.
“Then sit still and obey FyorBuntara. I will be back after slaughtering some Free Humans.” He activated Shredded Lunge and vanished from the place.
