Chapter 1063: The God of Minerals (Part 4)
Swoosh!
Hundreds of golden flashes appeared in the sky, Rutham Spirit Weapons in the shape of fists as they bombarded Inala, punching him nonstop.
“Argh!” Inala screamed, as he felt his emotional state was being amplified to the extreme, as if he were on drugs.
At that moment, one of the golden humanoids landed on the ground, a metre behind him.
Kinesis Deity—Number 2!
Held in his hand was an ice pike, with the shaft made out of Rutham while the needle was made using Billakin. ’This is it! I apologise, Leukeu.’
’You need to have fun with all your might. Explore Sumatra! Experience Sumatra! Admire Sumatra! And lastly,’ Prana surged into the ice pike as the golden humanoid elevated himself to Inala’s chest height and stabbed forth, “Thrive! In Sumatra!”
Squelch!
The needle casually pierced through Inala’s back muscles, disassembling the muscles into individual cell, tearing apart everything solid in its path as it reached the heart, and pierced it. Accurately, it stopped, after its tip made contact with the Spirit Container, “Live, Leukeu!”
“It’s your birthright to explore this fascinating world.” The ice pike hummed in response as a vast stream of Prana surged through it, accompanied by the pillar of light the golden humanoid had released.
The pillar of light seeped into the Spirit Container and used its capacity as a Minor Treasure to influence Inala’s body, condensing all that influence in the Spirit Container, from where it would absolutely influence Inala.
“I hope you live a long life in this world, Leukeu.” The golden humanoid muttered weakly and retracted the ice pike, “All I request in response is you don’t close your eyes to our beloved Continent’s fate.”
“That…isn’t my desire!” Inala gritted his teeth, eyeing the golden humanoid with tears, “Please, for however short it might be, I only intend to relax and half-ass my way through life. I…only desire that.”
The influence propelled his Spirit Container into activating Mystic Sumatra Art, which caused Prana to gather at his arm, which had turned into Billakin, and imprint upon each other.
Imprinted Spirit Weapon—Vachra!
All three sets of internal organs were subjected to this, rewriting his three Imprinted Spirit Weapons to Vachra Spirit Weapons. And the moment that happened, Inala fell unconscious.
Thud!
“Is that it?” One of the golden humanoids asked as his Spirit Weapon merged into his body. He landed a few metres from Inala to stare at the latter, “Strange, I was prepared to fight a long, arduous battle. He has the Roshmon’s powers, not to mention the Panger’s.”
“If he wanted to, Leukeu could have resisted for a while and even broken free…” He concluded, “I feel he has analysed our environment plenty enough to form an escape plan.”
“He probably has the means, but not the will.” The golden humanoid number two spoke as he slumped on the floor, “He feels conflicted about his existence. No matter how selfish he intends to behave, he cannot see through it to the end. After all,”
“He always is the type of individual who can see the big picture.”
“Then,” One of the golden humanoids thought and pointed at one of the Billakin buildings where a Brully was held captive, used as a Rutham farm, “What if we go through the family route.”
“It will hammer in him a desire to live, and he will start moving with purpose once again…”
“Let’s not do that.” The golden humanoid number two rejected the proposal, “Of all the options presented to him, he reincarnated as a Brully. It symbolises his desire to be free and do whatever he wants.”
“And no matter how much purpose we instil into him, it won’t change him fundamentally. After all,” The golden humanoid number two smiled, “He is a Brully.”
“And have you ever seen a Brully care about family and the likes?”
“That is true,” Another golden humanoid nodded, “Even if we change him, it’ll be only temporary. A Brully’s instinct to pursue battle is overpowering. We haven’t had any success in this regard even after so long.”
“Right,” The golden humanoid number two nodded and stared at the grey tower, “So, let’s just wait patiently. It’s his life. So let him come to a conclusion.”
…
Inala stood before the grey tower, glaring at the figure of the Roya Zinger inside. “You know, I wasn’t as self-conscious when I went around doing all that. But you…”
“Your schemes are truly vile.”
“I have no idea what you’re talking about.” The Royal Zinger shrugged its shoulders, “I’m not alive, so I cannot scheme…”
Bang!
Inala slammed his fist into the grey tower and shouted, “Don’t Fuck with me! I might not be born with all the information at your disposal, but I still know enough about myself!”
“You…you’re pushing me towards the Mystic Grade!” Inala raged, “Do you think I don’t know that?”
“Sure, I have plans and interests, but my core desire has never been to reach the Mystic Grade.” Inala bellowed, “I will reach a State of Unity, only because it’s fun! And then, I’ll roam Sumatra until the end of my lifespan! Because I can!”
“Because my State of Unity grants me enough strength to not worry about anything during the invasion and still continue to roam Sumatra as I please!” He banged at the grey tower a few times, “So, don’t push me!”
“And what if I do?” Casually hearing the rant until the end, the Royal Zinger smirked, “You want to avoid my schemes, sure. But to do it, you need to reach the Mystic Grade.”
The Royal Zinger casually touched the grey tower and caused cracks to cover it, growing more and more severe in a matter of seconds, “The moment I break this, you know what happens.”
“Then, why the fuck did we go ahead with…” Inala pointed at himself in frustration, “THIS!”
“Because I love Sumatra.” Said the Royal Zinger, “Through the Quip Clan, I am exploring the Continent a lot, through various perspectives. But, I would still love to feel it for myself through my own skin.”
“Wasn’t I doing that already?” Inala glared, “It’s not an adventure if I’m forced to visit various places under a deadline.”
“Yeah, you’re right about that. And I honestly don’t intend to interfere with that.” The Royal Zinger stared at its nails, noticed one of the claws was longer and began trimming it, “All I am saying is that you’re a mess.”
“It was my miscalculation during your reincarnation.” The Royal Zinger said, “I never thought my strength would grow so much in such a short time. As a result, I am affecting your thought process.”
“That’s impossible!” Inala frowned, “Until now, I did what I wanted. I went overboard against the Quip Clan, but I behaved as myself in every other situation.”
“Yes, you did.” The Royal Zinger nodded, “That is thanks to your existence as part of the Brully Race. So, your race instincts have been protecting you. However, it’s not strong enough anymore.”
“What?” Inala scrunched, feeling anger continuing to pent up in his being.
“See these cracks?” The Royal Zinger waved its arm, and the cracks healed, “I can mend them as I please, since it’s a part of my power. However,”
It pointed at the ceiling of the grey tower, “Don’t you think it is bigger than before?”
’It…is!’ Only then did Inala recall from his memories that the grey tower was exactly a centimetre taller than before. Just a centimetre…from a physical standpoint, that was negligible.
However, the grey tower was created to fully protect his mindspace from the effects of the State of Unity—Four Steps to Nullity. It was already at its max size sustainable by the Brully Inala’s mind space.
The fact that it grew by a centimetre, “Yes, you’re right.”
The Royal Zinger nodded, “The grey tower has been growing to protect you from my influence. However, it is already at its limit. Soon, you’ll start to become me.”
“And I don’t want that.” The Royal Zinger commented upon seeing Inala’s silence, “For both selfish and selfless reasons, I need your continued existence.”
For selfish reasons, it was as the Royal Zinger stated, “It’s always our desire to admire Sumatra. But with the situation being as it was, we didn’t have that opportunity. That desire remains unfulfilled. And soon, Sumatra will get invaded.”
“Who knows how long it’ll last. I will become vexed through multiple reincarnations, and eventually, my desire will turn into an obsession.” The Royal Zinger eyed Inala, “You are an outlet towards that desire. As you explore, my pent-up desires are satisfied. And when I revive on Sumatra, I can focus on doing what needs to be done.”
The Quip Clan was exploring Sumatra. However, each Quip Clansman was their own individual. The stronger they were, the closer to Inala they became. But they weren’t Inala.
Only at the Mystic Grade, they become Inala. And only by exploring as the Royal Zinger Inala would the desire for adventure be satiated. However, the Royal Zinger was bound by its duties. As a result, it would be hard pressed to seek fun.
“As for the selfless reason,” The Royal Zinger chuckled, “If the invaders arrive and figure out my strength, they will make preparations to counter me.”
“Instead, if I appear at the last moment, fully armed with all the information gathered by the Quip Clan, I could catch the enemies off guard and destroy them before they could even think up countermeasures.”
“For all that, you need me to enter the Mystic Grade?” Inala remained silent for a while before his eyes widened in realisation, staring at the Royal Zinger as if it were a madman.
However, the fact that he could quickly catch onto the Royal Zinger’s train of thought, and at the fact that his lips began to curl up to form a mild, excited smile, he too was somewhat mad, “Ideas have to keep up with the changes.”
“Alright, it’s a deal.” Inala placed his hand on the grey tower as behind him, a swirl of data from his time on Earth appeared, forming a storm as the intensity of emotions in them continued to grow unabatedly.
In his room on Earth, as a shut-in, with all his life’s needs met thanks to his wealthy parents, he was plagued by boredom. And the oasis amidst that boredom was Sumatra Chronicles, ’Ah! I will explore Sumatra!’
’And until I complete my exploration of the entire Continent, I won’t allow anything to happen to it.’ He let out a faint sigh as the storm of emotions continued to grow without limits, “It’s like I am experiencing the entirety of my life from Earth here, in a loop, once every few seconds.”
“Go!” The Royal Zinger’s mouth curled open, bursting into a laughter of excitement, “Do whatever you want!”
“That is precisely the motive behind our reincarnation!”
“Yeah,” Inala turned around and waved his hand, “The next time I appear here, it’ll be to destroy you.”
“No matter what, I will complete my dream.” With that, Inala exited his mind space, watching his arm that had become a Vachra Spirit Weapon without a hint of mental pain or trouble. It felt natural in his arm, not in the least influencing him.
After all, he now had an obsession.
