Chapter 1058: A Convo of Interests
Kinesis Deity—Number 2!
He was a 12-metre-tall golden giant who had been in existence from the era of the Brimgan Founder. He was one of the most knowledgeable golden humanoids in Halmahera.
In an igloo-shaped structure made out of Billakin, a variety of mechanical arms made out of Billakin hung from the concave ceiling. A series of gears were fitted through the shafts of these arms, trailing throughout their bodies and the walls of the igloo.
The inside of the walls was one complex array of gears, pulleys, and levers. Littered on the floor were the levers, the ends of which were attached to Rutham spheres. This was to actuate the levers through psychokinesis.
A stream of Prana flew into one of the levers and moved it a fair distance forward. It actuated a set of gears, and caused a mechanical arm holding a brush tip to move forward and make contact with a Storage Lantern.
The stream of Prana flowing into the Rutham knob on the level was gradually conducted into the Billakin too, thanks to the circuit that was inlaid into it in advance. This allowed the Prana to flow through the Billakin and exude the latter’s properties.
The brush tip permeated the properties of Billakin, using which it carefully deconstructed the entrance to the Storage Lantern.
At the same time, another mechanical arm with a needle end was steadily poking into the line between two floors. One poke after another, it made a line across the circumference.
There was a brush steadily disassembling the entrance to each of the ten floors. The needle ones were poking the place between each storey, numbering nine in total.
Controlling them all, actuating them one at a time every instance was the golden humanoid.
Gold Kinesis Art—Spirit Weapon Switch!
He was one of those who left Halmahera upon sensing Inala’s unique Brully presence in the Mrutch Sea. Upon capturing Inala and stripping the latter of all belongings, he took possession of the ten-storey storage lantern.
Since then, he had been working on it.
Crackle!
Like a pile of blocks tumbling down, the ten-storey storage lantern collapsed into ten separate blocks. The golden humanoid had been working on separating its floors without destroying the storage lantern.
Now, they had been turned into one-storey storage lanterns.
Clack!
The first storage lantern reverted to a metre-long cube and opened its entrance, revealing the Millanir stored inside.
Carefully, the golden humanoid inspected the mineral, and then the contents of all the storage lanterns. He then calmly got up, flew out of the igloo-like structure, travelled through the air for a while and landed before Inala.
“How are you connected with the founder?” He asked, eyeing Inala.
“I fused the Major Treasure of Attribute and inherited his everything,” Inala responded.
“Disperse,” The golden humanoid numbered 2 waved his hand as the rest of the golden humanoids turned into golden flashes and disappeared.
He stared calmly, and all the Rutham spikes, bracelets, ribbons, etc., binding Inala came undone, “You are free now.”
“Thank you,” Cracking sounds resounded from his body as Inala stretched his aching muscles. The various holes that had been drilled into his body healed shortly after. He then eyed the golden humanoid and asked, “What convinced you?”
“None of you seemed to pay no heed to what I said before.”
“No, we were all ears.” The golden humanoid turned around and beckoned for Inala to follow him, “We just had other priorities to satisfy first.”
“What’s the name of that mineral?” He asked and described its physical composition, “It resembles a jelly, has a dull grey sheen…”
“Millanir,” Inala responded, “It is sourced from a Millinger.”
“I never knew something like that existed.” The golden humanoid muttered, “The spikes on its neck could be turned into a mineral. But even in my wildest imaginations did I never think about the possibility of such a mineral.”
“It was artificially created.” Inala nodded, “The production costs are insane. Whatever exists in my possession is something I created using a Brully’s traits.”
“Right,” The golden humanoid nodded, “I noticed two distinctive presence compositions in your Millanir. Does it contain a Secondary Nature?”
“Yes,” Inala nodded, watching the eyes of the golden humanoid flash in excitement, “But mind telling me about this place?”
“The founder’s memories should have the basic knowledge about this place.” The golden humanoid eyed Inala with curiosity, “You don’t have Attribute’s traces on you, neither is your thought process influenced by the founder’s habits.”
“So, what are you, Leukeu?”
“A reincarnation of the Royal Zinger,” With less than half a second’s hesitation, Inala weighed his odds and happily revealed information about himself, ’Since they were willing to converse, it’s my best bet to reap benefits.’
“I understand,” The golden humanoid nodded, “I never thought such a miraculous revival mechanism existed. This could have done wonders back in the day.”
“Currently, Grehha has the Influenced Region of Armoury, right?” The golden humanoid eyed Inala to ask.
“Yes, it was the deal I struck with him.” Inala nodded.
“It’s a fair trade. Such an impressive individual shouldn’t die prematurely. He will achieve great things in the future, I’m sure.” The golden humanoid waved his hand, “I now understand why you are so different from the rest of your Race.”
“Let me assist your journey to attaining a State of Unity.” The golden humanoid uttered, much to Inala’s surprise.
“How did you know?” Inala asked, analysing upon seeing the other party chuckle, ’They probably figured it out, considering how much they tinkered with my body.’
’But let’s ask for an explanation. I might learn something new from it.’ That was pretty much his intention, as Inala felt strongly that in this place, he would be able to condense his Tertiary Nature and make plans to attain a State of Unity.
Originally, he intended to gather clues related to his Tertiary Nature at the Brimgan Empire. However, Halmahera seemed to have everything the Brimgan Empire had and even more. So, he adapted his plans to the changing situation.
“I have been tinkering with Brully bodies since forever.” The golden humanoid revealed a rare smile, “It didn’t take me long to realise that your Primary Nature doesn’t follow Sumatra’s progression, but rather,”
“The Body Path!”
’That’s…nice!’ Inala thought, controlling his urge to smile. “That’s right, My Primary Nature of Cyclic Stability is a Body Path Nature. My Secondary Nature of Weapon Hands is a Mind Path Nature.”
“Good,” The golden humanoid nodded, “Since you’re a capable individual, we will trade information with each other.”
“Let me show consideration first,” The golden humanoid said and lead Inala into a cylindrical tower made out of Billakin. Reaching a wide hall, he simply stood on one side and extended a hand towards Inala, “Ask me anything you’re curious about, and I’ll answer honestly.”
“This information is free of charge.”
“Alright,” Inala accepted the gesture and asked without hesitation, “What is the purpose of this place?”
“To protect the Brimgan Empire, of course.” The golden humanoid uttered as a matter of fact, going into further detail, which came as a surprise to Inala, who had only been expecting a curt answer, “If the Brimgan Empire ever faces the threat of annihilation, we will take action. The Prana Circuit we have laid can harness enough force to destroy even the Celestial Boar’s Astral World.”
“Seriously?” Inala gasped, thinking for a moment before asking, “Also, how did you come to know about the Celestial Boar? I didn’t tell you about it.”
“Shall I consider it your first question?” The golden humanoid asked, beginning to speak once Inala nodded, “The Brimgan Library is a Rutham Information Slip inlaid with a Prana Circuit, which shares a connection to Halmahera. The moment anything is stored there, a copy of it appears here.”
“There were times when the Brimgan Library was tampered with by destructive individuals among the Brimgan Royalty, sustained damage during the Invasions, and raided by Mystic Empyrean Tentacles.” The golden humanoid continued, “In all such instances, we would repair the Brimgan Library and fill in the damaged, tampered, and stolen bits.”
“I see…” Now, Inala understood why the Brimgan Empire had a comprehensive knowledge of everything, no matter what era it was or how much damage they had sustained. ’They had this entire force working in secret to protect them. Seriously! Their foundation is insane!’
“Now, for my question,” The golden humanoid asked without hesitation, “Tell me the refinery process behind Millanir.”
“Sure,” Inala explained all the details without hesitation and even recorded everything in a Rutham Information Slip. “Why didn’t you guys take action during the Second Major Disaster? Wasn’t the Brimgan Empire in a dangerous situation back then?”
“Oh, they’ve been through worse.” The golden humanoid casually brushed it aside, “There were plenty of lives lost, but that was it. The Empire’s foundation wasn’t harmed in the slightest. And that loss spurred them to grow stronger than ever.”
“The only time in recent history that we were intending to interfere was when the Celestial Boar infiltrated the Brimgan Palace, with full preparation for the Third Major Disaster.” The golden humanoid concluded, “Thankfully, he left quickly after.”
“Had you taken action…” His heart thumped in anticipation as Inala asked, “Would you have been able to kill him?”
“Kill the Celestial Boar, I mean?”
“If we had used all our power to unleash our Prana Circuit’s strongest attack in the first instance, before he could react,” The golden humanoid nodded, “Then yes.”
“I’m sorry, but I find it hard to believe.” Inala shook his head, appearing offended externally, “I don’t think I can just take up your word on this matter, without facts to support it.”
Internally, Inala was excited, for this was his easiest entry into the core mechanism and purpose of Halmahera. And upon hearing the other party’s response, he almost failed to control his excitement.
“Then, please follow me. Honesty is our policy here.” The golden humanoid took flight and raised a Rutham platform to carry Inala. “So, I will show you the foundation and proof for my confidence.”
