Chapter 1001: You’re Unneeded On Sumatra
Chapter 1001: You’re Unneeded On Sumatra
There was a flash of Prana. And then, in a wide spherical radius surrounding the Roshmon, Prana was inhibited, causing the Rutham Spirit Weapons to collapse helplessly.
Primary Nature—Inhibition Bomb!
The moment Inala turned around to run into the crater, Rhonya threw an Inhibition Bomb after accurately analysing the situation and observing the importance placed on the Roshmon.
The moment it was freed from the Rutham Spirit Weapons, the Roshmon leapt deeper into the crater. Followed by a soft plunge, it escaped into the Mrutch Sea.
The Inhibition Bomb seemed to have latched onto it, preventing the Rutham Spirit Weapons from targeting it once again.
“That’s a tough exterior.” Shuwrak Zahara commented as the clumps of Prana he released caused gashes to form on the Inhibition Bomb, but failed to destroy it on time. But even if the Roshmon escaped, there wasn’t much of an issue as Loya knew the route.
Primary Nature—Prison Bomb!
Secondary Nature—Accel Hurl!
The Zinger Prince, Wenka, proceeded with the attack and targeted each member of Inala’s group with a Prison Bomb each.
Primary Nature—Refractive Inhibition!
Shuwrak Zahara bombarded the Prison Bomb approaching him with attacks, twisting and turning the Prana within the Prison Bomb’s structure to inhibit its makeup. There was a series of explosions on the shell of the Prison Bomb, causing it to splatter by the time it reached him.
“Huff…” He gasped softly, feeling some strain as he had used over 400 units of Prana to destroy the Prison Bomb, ’The sheer might contained within it is insane.’
The Prison Bomb could either turn its tangible or almost intangible, depending on its purpose. In its tangible form, the shell of the Prison Bomb was strong enough to withstand multiple blows from Gold Grade Pranic Beasts.
The intangible form was like a bubble, with the shell assuming fluid-like properties that made it possible to swallow external targets without any issues. These two states gave it ample versatility.
But most of all, the Prison Bomb was capable of self-thought as long as it had enough of the Zinger Prince’s Prana. That allowed it to react and respond to attacks. And when it did, Shuwrak Zahara was forced to expend more Prana.
Wenka had used 1050 units of Prana on the attack. The thousand units were to create the Prison Bomb, while the remaining fifty were on Accel Hurl.
Seeing his attack getting stopped, Wenka didn’t seem surprised in the slightest. He had plenty of Prana, so even if he were to spend more in each attack, it didn’t matter as his opponent wouldn’t be able to keep up with the expenditure for long.
He condensed another Prison Bomb and threw it at the opponent. But this time, the Prison Bomb condensed all the air within it into a tiny, solid sphere, barely the size of a finger bone.
Similar to before, Shuwrak Zahara destroyed the Prison Bomb, only to be impacted by the rock within.
Secondary Nature—Tangible Millinger!
The moment he noticed the rock, his Tangible Millinger had already projected its mandibles outside his body to tank the attack. There was a sonorous impact as the stone continued to spin, despite lodging itself partway into the mandibles.
Grrr!
The stone drilled itself through the mandible and punctured through Shuwrak Zahara’s left shoulder, “Argh!”
The power of Accel Hurl was focused on the stone this time, which was applied to penetrate the mandible. Wenka had launched the stone sneakily, ensuring it wasn’t visible from outside the Prison Bomb.
As blood dripped out of his shoulder, Shuwrak Zahara extruded more of the Tangible Millinger’s form out of his body. He then assumed Human Avatar form to camouflage his body within the Tangible Millinger.
Around the same time, Loya was sent flying when the Prison Bomb crashed into her. She wasn’t injured by the attack. However, the momentum carried her away from the group.
Primary Nature—Shield of Thorns!
The Prison Bomb wriggled and bubbled all over its surface, exploding a few seconds later. Following up with the attack was a rock giant that jutted out of the ground and grabbed her, intending to squeeze her into pulp.
Boom!
Loya exploded the fist that grabbed her, grunting as she was targeted by a second Homing Satellite. Hunsar too had taken action.
She shielded herself and watched the fists of the rock giants shattering every time they slammed into her Shield of Thorns. She wasn’t destroying the stone part of their body, but rather the Homing Satellite aspect that formed its structural integrity.
“You’re an annoying bastard, huh?” Loya glared at Hunsar upon noticing the latter hadn’t suffered from a skin explosion until now. It meant he hadn’t used any Prana detection means.
His Homing Satellites operated out of his Spirit Weapon range, functioning on their own, without his psychokinesis. That prevented Loya from harming Hunsar. All she could damage and destroy were the Homing Satellites.
And even if she were to damage them, the Homing Satellites recovered spontaneously, as their bodies were composed of the rocky terrain, which was readily available to rebuild their bodies.
All Loya did was defend and counterattack the Homing Satellites. However, a few exchanges later, she groaned, gasping for breath, “What the…fuck is happening?”
When she targeted a Homing Satellite, it glinted at the moment of contact and absorbed around thirty units of her Prana. The portion of the Homing Satellite that made contact with her exploded, thanks to the effect of Shield of Thorns.
The absorbed Prana was also wasted, since it dissipated through the shattered remains. But overall, it caused Loya to waste more Prana than necessary.
“The Panger Race is exceptional at counterattacks. However,” Hunsar revealed a faint smile as he pointed at the ground beneath Loya, “But they aren’t physically gifted enough like other Gold Grade Pranic Beasts.”
“Wha…Kyak!” Loya shrieked in shock when suddenly, the ground she stood upon, flipped over. It too had been turned into a Homing Satellite. It simply flipped, trapping Loya beneath it in the process.
Boom!
There was a soft explosion underground as a portion of the Homing Satellite had been destroyed. However, the rock remained as is, burying Loya underneath it. Even if it shattered into pieces, it still piled upon her, trapping her underground.
There was a small pulse of Prana as the Homing Satellite controlling the flipped piece of rock appeared on the surface. Sprouting two strings of Prana, it ran towards Hunsar, who picked it and inspected its form, “A portion of it has been blown off.”
He stitched the Homing Satellite on his palm and absorbed all the Prana remaining in it. Now, Loya couldn’t do much since the piece of rock atop her was just rock. Her Shield of Thorns only helped shield her and could no longer be used to destroy the rock that didn’t have any Prana.
Boom!
Another rocky giant rumbled to a stop vertically above Loya’s position. The Homing Satellite controlling it moved out and returned to Hunsar. After a few more Homing Satellites repeated the same, Loya had no chances of escaping.
She was buried deep underground, surrounded by rock on all sides. And piling further above her position was a rock that now formed a hill. The sheer weight strained her Shield of Thorns to the limit. And the moment her Prana gets expended, she would be crushed to her death.
“He’s pretty talented. It only took him a couple of exchanges to counter Loya.” Inala muttered as he stood beside the pool of water in the depths of the crater. He was alone now, watching the sea of water descend on the Stromar Cliff.
Standing on the pool of water before him was Rhonya, her expression one of confusion.
“Aren’t you concerned about your companions?” She asked, “It’s just a matter of time before Loya dies.”
She pointed at the unconscious Knell Clansman who she had gained custody of during the attacks. “I have another companion of yours as hostage.”
“And I don’t need to tell you about Shuwrak Zahara’s situation. He’s facing a Zinger Prince.” She eyed Inala, only getting more and more puzzled the more she sensed his lack of…tension, “Why?”
“What do you mean, why?” Inala wrapped his arms around his back and whistled casually, “I’m sure you won’t kill them. Because, if you do…”
He laughed as his tone turned serious for a second, “I will end the Royal Zinger line.”
“What?” Rhonya gasped in shock, “Are you serious? You…you’ll really do it?”
“No, that’s impossible!” She shook her head violently, “You’re bluffing. I know you’re capable of that.”
“What’s your name, kid?” Inala asked.
“Rhonya,” Replied the Zinger Princess.
“You know I can bluff. But,” He eyed the other party, revealing a faint smile, “But are you really sure I am bluffing here?”
“After everything you went through to create the Quip Clan, you won’t destroy it yourself.” Rhonya quickly calmed down as she explained her reasoning, “You have no reason to destroy the Clan meant to protect Sumatra from the invasions.”
“And most of all,” She stated in confidence, “There’s no method that you can employ to prevent the revival of the Royal Zinger in the future. Your soul is indeed the same, but even if you destroy your soul, nothing adverse can happen.”
“If any of us were to enter the Mystic Grade, our souls would be used as fuel to create the Royal Zinger Inala’s soul.” She raised her hand and pointed at the Sky, “Sumatra itself supports that.”
“You are right about them all.” Inala nodded as he pointed at himself, “However, I am something of a gimmick at present.”
“What do you think will happen if I recreate something like the Royal Zinger?” Inala laughed, “Both these existences will collide into each other and destroy themselves.”
“Poof!” He made an exaggerated motion, “Everything will be for nothing.”
“You know,” Rhonya’s expression turned menacing as she glared at Inala, “I was hoping that even if you were part of another Race now, you’ll still be similar to my Deity, since you both hailed from the same individual.”
“However, you are not selfless like you. Instead, you’re a selfish prick and the embodiment of destructive greed.” She growled, “I refuse to accept your existence.”
“You’re unneeded on Sumatra.”
