Chapter 351: I Demand An Explanation

Once everyone had calmed down, each group was led to an individual waiting room. Rayen and SEEDZ skeptically glanced around the whole room, seemingly looking for something.

The person who brought them in noticed this and explained, "Don’t worry, we didn’t put cameras in these rooms yet."

However, they still weren’t reassured. How could they? Just from the way they were brought to the house, no one would dare trust them. More so when Rayen recalled their strange director.

’Who would trust that face?’

Even the staff member seemed to understand. He could only leave the room awkwardly under their contemptuous gazes.

Once the door closed, Xi Huan took the initiative to scour through the entire room. However, she found no cameras, just like what the staff member said. Still, to make sure that Xi Huan did not miss anything, everyone stared at Yeo Haru.

"... Why are you looking at me?" Yeo Haru asked.

Xi Huan’s grin widened, and then she signed towards her teammate. "Coast clear."

The other members could finally sigh in relief.

Immediately, Adrian’s laziness returned to his body. He slumped down on the sofa and eyed the managers who were currently with them.

Seeing Adrian’s attitude, Rayen was reminded of something.

’Right. Don’t they have no schedule this day at all?’

Only he and the two youngest members went out to go to school. So how did they even get dragged in here?

Rayen watched the silent confrontation between the three people.

As the leader of the group, Adrian took the initiative to ask for an explanation. "Ms. Lewis, you said we’re going to eat out without Eureka and the kids. You hurt our feelings."

"....."

Rayen and the said kids were speechless. Just then, Rayen glared at Zi Xu.

’You tried to leave us out?!’

Meanwhile, he had to take the ’kids’ to school while they ate out. That’s unfair!

If Yeo Haru was known as the camera hogger, Rayen was the glutton.

’How could they?!’

Zi Xu let out a cough and avoided his gaze. "I took you to relax in the sauna."

Which never happened because they were kidnapped.

"We didn’t get to eat out. Don’t worry, Rayeye," Xi Huan also explained.

Adrian shifted the topic back. "So, what does the head manager want?" 𝖋𝘳ℯ

This time, it was Ms. Lewis who spoke. "You gotta ask her yourself."

She was already holding up her phone, which had been dialling ’Head Manager’ on the screen. After a few rings, the call was picked up, and Clandestine’s haggard but stoic face appeared on it.

"I demand an explanation," Adrian suddenly said, still leaning casually on the sofa.

"....." The members of SEEDZ all turned toward him with wide eyes.

What the hell was that tone? Since when did Adrian become this gutsy?

Clandestine did not seem to mind it, though. "There’s a change of plans. I want you to stay there for a while."

"What about the other scheduled activities?"

Rayen and the others glanced back and forth at the two as they exchanged words.

"Your world tour hasn’t been announced yet, and we decided to forgo it."

"Then what will you do about the cleansing?"

"We’ve allocated some of your duties to Ayumi. Including the cleansing."

It seemed like Adrian still wanted to say something, but Clandestine stopped him.

"You have to be careful with your words and actions. You’re idols right now."

Adrian finally shut his mouth. He understood what she meant even without fully explaining it. Right now, they’re participating in a mundane survival show. They not only have to be mindful about their idol image, but they also have to be careful to hide their true identities as Minstrels.

But he still felt unsatisfied. After all, they were not consulted about their participation in this show.

Clandestine seemed to have sensed this and said, "I’m just doing this for your sake."

The members did not speak. They shared the same feelings with Adrian. All of them thought that they deserved an explanation.

"I can’t explain it here," she said.

Rayen blinked.

"If you get plucked, there’s no returning," she added.

After that, Clandestine disconnected without clarifying what she meant. Meanwhile, the members’ brows furrowed in confusion, except for three individuals: Rayen, Adrian, and Liam.

They knew what this term meant because they had already encountered it before. Liam’s face was especially pale. He was the one who brushed directly with it, after all.

"Mama Li, what’s wrong with you?" Xi Huan asked.

Liam shook his head and did not explain.

’But couldn’t they just revive us again as long as our Seeds are intact?’

During the hell dance marathon, when he was just about to die of exhaustion, he complained to the instructor, and that’s what the instructor said.

So why do they need to be careful with it?

Plotter explained to him before that Plucking is a mechanism of the world to eradicate the anomaly within it. So, did that mean their seeds would also be eradicated if they got Plucked?

Rayen shivered at the thought.

’But why do I have to be especially careful?’
